Probably the best line in the entire Horus Heresy series. Such a nonchalant line to someone he fought to the death with several times and he dismissed Kargos like he was nothing
@@Bioshocker66609 Even before that, he was portrayed as an asshole. I like to think that Amit was so loyal to the Emperor that when Kargos turned, he became just another traitor to Amit. He wasn't worthy of any consideration. Not worthy of some speech or regret on his decision. Just a simple and uncaring line for a worthless being that Amit gave no fucks about. That's why I like that line. It's so dismissive and simple.
They wanted the nails....well Mago and the card playing dreadnought Lork dint think it was a good idea. It's big E's fault ruining Angrons big day with that teleport.
@@TacticalShinebox I do not disagree with you at all. It’s just sad that Angron was so far gone with no relief that his sons thought the nails were the only way to relate or be close to him
@@TacticalShinebox that's unfair: Big E invested a lot on his Primarchs, got there, find his son totally crazed up in the middle of frenzied savages only waiting to die. Big E probably regretted saving Angron: we know after having him checked he murmured "what have they done to you!". Angron had lost everything that makes a Primarch, but Big E couldn't know, and frankly had no time to to make a better decision. It's not like He had time to go down sit in a tavern and have a family talk with his son before beaming him up against his will: it was do it now or never, and looking at the other slaves, most of them with Butcher nail implants, he probably saw nothing worth salvaging. You can think whatever of Big E, but he was not someone known for throwing out valuable resources like functional warriors while fighting a crusade. Unfortunately Angron made to his Astartes what he high riders had done to him. He hated them: on Istvan, facing a Sargent dying he said: "you could have refused the nails, but you accepted them without complain" and when he shouted "I hate you!" He answered "I respect that!". Angron was far gone by the time Big E found him, and knowing what he had become, probably Big E would have left him to the slaughter on Nuceria.
Such a good character not only as an example of how far the 12th legion has fallen but also what allying yourself to chaos gets you. when inzar tells him "as pathetic as kharn...wash my name from your tongue weakling" is so good. and his fights with amit are so well written listening to it on audible was incredibly engrossing. if by some foul up of canon kargos is still alive i want a flesh tearer to finally put him down it would be even better the second time
Unless it was retconned. Kargos survived Terra cause he’s in Kharn: The Eater of Worlds. He even has his own company now cause he killed their captain in the pits
Lot of great scenes in the Echoes, but the most satisfying was when Taerus got what every Word Bearer deserves. Exactly what they wanted but having it mince them into mince meat.
I started audio books on the echoes of eternity novel and I loved Kargos story, really showing the best side of the world eaters in there fall from the little honor and respect they had and the complete mental deteriation.
I think it was in the same book, but there was a lone Word Bearer loyalist who was hiding amongst the traitors looking for Lorgar so that he could assassinate him with his sniper rifle. Would love to hear more about him if anything could be said at all. I felt so cheated that he got such little spotlight in the book but that speaks to the scale of the situation that was occurring for the battle of terra that as unique of a situation he was in, so were billions of others fighting on the surface.
Dang, no note to how he was defeated and died? Amitt literally ate half of his face off. I feel like this entry could have elucidated a little more, but good over all.
@@Diomedes_XXIIyeah I was hoping for something Plus if you mentioned how he died it really put stuff into light. It also would link into other characters stories too

Amit's last words to his chain brother.
"Eat shit traitor!"
"I told you..."

Angron: Do you know blood spitter?!
LORGAR : In his small boi voice
"I know blood spitter"
"...Eye to eye. Face to face. It is the most intimate moment in Kargos' life. Intimacy without sensuality..."

Do longer videos please !!! 😕
