I would cook for 3 hours before i put the other ingrédients. For half a kg of casava leaf, i would use more onions and fresh garlic (2 spoons of pastle). I would also use a creamier coconut milk. Your version is healthier😃
How long you can cook cassava leaves before adding other ingredients really depends on the leaves, some takes less and some takes longer to get done. As I said sometimes I boil the leaves 3 times before adding coconut milk. In my country, we boil it once when we have option to choose good leaves when picking from cassava plant, in UK, we don't. I also prefer creamed coconut milk from the box than coconut cream from the can. The one from the box has the most coconut flavour than the one from the can. It can be different from your side though, thanks for watching 😊💓
I boil the grounded leaves with water and salt and a 1/4 teaspoon of baking soda it gets cooked in less than hour and it gives very good taste with frying the onions and tomatoes and adding turmeric powder then add in the boil leaves let it simmer till dry add in whole chillies and coconut milk simmer for 10 mins.ready to eat with rice or ugali
Manshallah, I love to cook this dish with either lamb or beef , creamy coconut milk and cream and eat it with rice cooked in coconut milk. It is a very popular dish in Madagascar. Are you from Tanzania or Kenya because in Malagasy language, they call it 'agna mahogy'.🥰

You can use free leaves! You must cut them small and blend. Blend little by little cause it is to break the blender. Little with some water. Again be careful with the amount you blend
