Some on Twitter pointed out that her accent seems to appear when she is interviewed by Spanish speakers. Newly unearthed photos show Hilaria as a high school student at the Cambridge School in Massachusetts. The yearbook page identifies her as Hilary Hayward-Thomas, and classmates say online she had no accent when they knew her. #InsideEdition

Yup. I’m rural American South. Spent time with Canadians and developed an accent. At times I sound New York. Some of us soak up accents and become bidilectal. I tried to give Hilaria Baldwin benefit of the doubt, but it’s hard. She’s not well-liked in the yoga community.
@A. To be honest, and it’s an issue with many yoga teachers now, it’s her failing to be as safe as possible. But many of us trained in the ‘80s and ‘90s, when people brought beach towels to our homes and out of dojos. It’s just different. I hear her business practices just aren’t as good as they could be. Or were. I don’t think she has her studio any more. She just wasn’t giving her clients the attention and care that many of us were trained to. She was flippant about much of the profession. Yoga isn’t aerobics. It’s not to be a quick money-making avenue. There’s a level of respect for the older teachers and the practice itself. 🤷🏻♀️ This is my opinion and many others. I would understand others’ opinions, for sure.
I have a Spanish accent, growing up I thought that my English pronunciations were good and that my Spanish Accent wouldn't interfere with it until I noticed that many were bothered by it. I recall being very timid and reserved to myself after an incident in my infancy, but after a few years, My little seven year old self had decided to speak up more and make tons of friends in primary school. It turned out to be much harder, than it seemed. I had made one friend who spoke Spanish so we easily communicated, however, that friend was much more knowledgeable in English than I was as she had older siblings that spoke English to her from a young age. This dear friend of mine, Knew of my desire for more friends, Instead of helping me out with her knowledge and English skills, she went around telling everyone to avoid talking to me because according to her, I couldn't speak English at all. It wasn't until primary school ended when I found out, I was having a conversation with a kid from one of my classes when they suddenly praised my English and told me all about what had been going around. Middle school was a bit better as I had began speaking for myself a bit more, Progressively becoming more confident in my speech. It wasn't until I moved into another area for high school in which I noticed how bothersome my accent could be to others. I would be speaking and classmates would interupt me. With overly confused expressions, they would tell me multiple times to repeat myself until it would become some sort of guessing game. They would then proceed to explain to me the correct way of pronunciation, One without any accent at all. Yet what confused me was the fact that my accent had nothing to do with it, The words were still understandable, The teachers had never told me that I was saying them wrong, It was always just the students. If the teachers understood me, then why couldn't they? Thankfully, After a few months I noticed that it was just mocking which was easy to ignore. I would then purposefully just thicken my accent around those students.
I knew elementary middle & high school students would remember her & bring out those year books. You cannot hide from high school year books. LOL!! 🤣🤣🤣

My Grandmother was French so my father and his brothers and sisters were raised with French and English with French culture. Alec Baldwin has imitated his wife’s “Spanish accent” in many interviews. I wonder if he’s the one who may have put her up to this. He certainly has played along, and so has the media, because she doesn’t even speak with a Spanish accent in most interviews. Why was this never questioned or investigated before?

I’m literally cringing so hard. The fact that she didn’t explain anything in her videos is what make this so much more absurd. But hearing alec impersonating her Spanish “accent” was the icing on the cake lol. Ive never seen anything like this before let alone from people so powerful and famous, it fascinating and frightening at the same time. It’s very clear their mental health is deteriorating and somebody needs to get them help before it’s too late.
They’re human just like us. Not let that money and fame shock you. People lie about their life all the time.

Yes, she misleads rather than directly lies. I moved to go to NYU - from where - my family lives in Spain. Clever, not lying per se but anyone would assume here she moved from Spain to NY. She sd in other interviews i moved at 19 to NY, just doesn’t say I moved from Boston. She’s done it with a few other things. Left herself a backdoor so she can deny being called a liar.
