FLAMBOROUGH HEAD, East Yorkshire.

- South Landing beach lies on the south side of Flamborough Head, just over 3 miles north-east of Bridlington, within an area which has been designated a Local Nature Reserve.
The shingle and pebble beach here is backed by grassy, chalk cliffs, which provide beachgoers with some degree of shelter from the sea breezes. At low tide, a number of rockpools, teeming with crabs, small fish and other wildlife can be found in and around the chalk-reef.
South Landing is also a good place for bird watching. In the summer guillemots, gannets, sand martins and fulmars can all be found here. In the winter there is a chance of spotting eider ducks.
There are a number of walking trails in the area, including some cliff-top walks with good views over Bridlington Bay.
A car park with a picnic site can be found just off South Sea Road. From here it is a steep descent, down 75 steps, past RNLI Flamborough Lifeboat Station and down to the beach.

Wow! Yes you are right. The reddish clay/soil seem to seep down the white chalk cliffs. Great comment Mark.
That's a good range. My Mini3 signal starts breaking up between 500 and 600 metres out.
i'm thinking to go out there and trace the path of the dane's dyke from South to North across the peninsula.
I actually used my Air 2S for this video but I have several videos that I used the mini drones. I tend to stand in a good vantage point where I can see the drone from all directions. The reception is excellent on the cliffs, no interference, so you should be ok. Happy flying my friend.
You didn't fly over the best stretch around North landing and Thornwick bay!?
