It's West Virginia University. That's why it's called WVU! On demand ends at 5 pm. After 5 p.m the PRT stops at all stations instead of going to a certain station.

Michael Bragg the PRT shut down entirely at 5 p.m. the day I was there

Most likely he rode on a Football Saturday which can bypass stations. I remember back in the day when I was there that on Saturdays it would stop at each station.

Mountaineer Field can’t be seen from the PRT from the downtown area along the river. What you probably saw was the Coliseum.

I've been playing Fallout 76 for a long time, and wondered what the light rail system really looks like in Morgantown.
It's amazing, the research Bethesda put into the game, because their system looks a lot like the real thing!

I wish they add more power on the tracks.
And I also wish they add more tracks all around Morgantown of wv.
Like the airport, star city, Morgantown mall, and mountaineer mall where that giant eagle store.

Never heard of the PRT before 10 mins ago when somehow TH-cam put the construction video of it up in my recommends. Very jarring to now watch this video shot 40 years after and see how rusted, loud and rickety it appears to have become. Anyone know if there are plans for an updated system? Did it relieve traffic congestion as intended? Growing up just a few hours from it back in the 70s and never knew about it.

So your car got towed and someone threw up on your seats? Welcome to Morgantown. WVU class of '83.

A friends car? At least you didn't get stung by hornets or arrested for for being in a riot. You're lucky the PRT didn't break down between stations with you stuck inside a hot car with 20 people for an hour. I rode that thing to class twice a day, every day, for 2 years. I remember many a time standing on a platform in about -10 degree weather for an hour or more while it was broken down, and I missed class.

They have bypasses now!? Cool. When I was there (three decades ago) it stopped at every station.

Weird. I went to school there four decades ago and all the stations had the bypasses you saw on the video. Imagine having a system like that taking you back and forth to classes back in the 1970's-80's. It was pretty cool at the time.

Anybody can ride it for 50 cents. But it doesn't run when the school is not in session.

Please turn on stabilization. Also, it's nearly impossible to enjoy a transit video if you just talk the entire time about people we don't know, and random stream of consciousness rambling.

I don't think this is intended as a proper public transport video. He's certainly no Geoff Marshall or Distant Signal.

OK i watched the 1977 Archives state uv of West V. Intersting Building this just because of a squeezy traffic situation. if more citys could afford it. Population must be closer to 60,000 . 50,000 in 1971 or 77 .
