I had a Subaru Mini Van 20 years ago, best spontaneous buy everrrrrr. So practical, so easy to service and always made heads turn. We called ours the Scooby Machine as it came with Scooby Doo cartoon stickers when I bought it.
From past 2 years, I have been watching your old videos of Pam again and again, every now and then, because I am absolutely in love with every single one of them.

for the category,it is not cheap at all belive me,not less than 7000 euro good condition,in italy u can get a more confy 4x4 ,but this is a little investment for multipurpose daily use

I had one of these from my scuba diving shop years ago. We called it the Bubble van. It was great getting to hard to reach places with all the diving equipment. Thin enough to squeeze through the where cars can't.
I would call it Midge after the tiny flying insect so prevalent in Scotland ! I will be intrigued to see what yo do with it, When I had my 4x4 i just folded the seats flat and used camping equipment plus a windbreak so i could cook outside and have somewhere to sit . I wanted a retractable awning on the side too but I never got around to that 🤔

I'd just throw a mattress & bedding in the back and go :) Be careful on the corners as short wheel based vehicles are more likely to flip on their sides.
It’s a nice van but that was my first thought too. Good advice.
I was thinking the same. I had a Suzuki Samurai as a teenager and have no idea how I never rolled it. I ended up on two wheels more than I care to admit. Once she builds it out as a tiny camper, I think the added, low-riding weight will help.
Short wheelbase is responsible for quick oversteering, not for overtipping. This car is not so easy to flip, due all of its heavy building parts like engine, gearbox, suspension etc are just under the floor.

Yes it looks really good, especially being able to run it on gas also, that's a real bonus. There is a but of rust here and there, if you treat it now it should last for years but don't leave it too long, I look forward to the next video anyway.
I was just checking on YT on how to remove rust! Definitely a job that will need to be done before starting the conversion
Hello Marina, it's a funny little van, 4 x 4 will help you a lot! It's a bit like a bubble (bolla). Because following you and Ody and Pam in Scotland and the UK (ah nice days) I now have bought a Connect and will be building it like you will be doing, with a lot of looking at self build vans on You Tube. Have a nice spring building, greetings and all the best.

These are absolutely the cutest vans ever!!
I've been obsessed with the Suzuki Carry lately, which is (one of) the japanese version(s) of this, as you showed.
But something I've noticed is that these vans look bigger on pictures than they are in real life! I've encountered a few Piaggios around the city, and also some Suzukis, and they are TINY!!
I think it's because the proportions are the same, they're simply scaled down (like shrinking an image on a computer lol).
I can't wait for future updates on this little guy/gal!
By the way, I live in Greece and the church bell thing is so relatable! :D

Love your van! We had a Toyota Sienna and my husband built a bed frame that fit the entire back of the van. It was high enough so we could store everything we needed under it, maybe 6-8" off the floor. I had room enough for camp chairs, a tent if we needed it. All the kitchen/cooking stuff and the cook stove. We put the propane in a tote on the back so we didn't have fuel inside that could be a problem. Since you are using LPG already you might be able to have a permanent fixture so you could hook a camp stove up to your existing tank. So far I like you ideas to keep this multi-use. You could name your van Gidget or GG (for go go). Enjoy!

Definitely genius but maybe a little crazy, too! Great little van, I think. Must be pretty cheap on petrol, anyway, so with the LPG it must be really economical! Looking forward to seeing how you fit it out - good idea to keep it as a cargo van as well. Probably pricey but you can get pop up roof conversions to put in small vans like that so you can get a bit more headroom for camping. Maybe you don’t need that, though. I think you already said a good name for it - ‘Nugget’ 👍🏻
I was actually thinking that Nugget is a good name whilst editing the video! I have seen those pop up roofs on Dihatsus , they are pretty cool indeed. I'll have to check how much would one be, probably more than the van itself though 😂
I don’t think they will be cheap. You might get lucky and find a used one for sale from a wrecked vehicle. A bit of searching on line might produce a result from a junk yard or a private sale. Probably best to speak with whoever installs them in your area to see if they could do that if you found one.
I’m not sure if it’s methane powered or she means lpg. Lpg seems to be getting phased out.

Nice to see your sunny face. I love your sweet wee van, perfect for buzzing about winding, narrow Italian roads. I’ve always named all my vehicles, so a good name is important. It looks egg like, so Egbert could be good. Or PeterVan (or PetraVan, PietraVan…?) for a bit of a magical touch. Nugget is quite cute as well. Snugget as a Nugget nickname since it looks quite snuggly.
