- For the first time ever, the complete series of the classic Hanna Barbera cartoon series The Jetsons is now available in one DVD boxset. Featuring all 3 seasons consisting of 75 broadcast episodes, plus the bonus movie The Jetsons Meet The Flintstones. The show's original run lasted from 1962-63, with the revival series continuing through the mid-1980s. This is a fantastic DVD set - and a surprise release from the folks at Warner Home Video/Warner Archive. For sure a boxset I am happy to have in the collection. I never watched The Jetsons as a kid since I watched other shows on Boomerang UK like Looney Tunes, Tom And Jerry, Scooby-Doo, The Pink Panther, Garfield And Friends and Danger Mouse.
Boomerang takes me back! Some great classics :D
Thanks for the review. I'm trying to decide whether to buy. I have the 60s first season on dvd, which I grew up watching in the 70s. But I've only seen bits of the 80s version. I find the 80s influences quite distracting having loved the sleek 60s version for so long. You can definitely tell that Mel Blancs voice has aged as Spacely in the 80s episodes also.
I used to watch a lot of Hanna barbera cartoons on boomerang (a channel dedicated to classic cartoons) but for some reason I dont remember the jetsons ever being shown I'm not sure why that would be.
I also used to watch boomerang when I was a kid and I also never saw The Jetsons as a kid.
The Jetsons Movie is owned by Universal. That's why Warner didn't include it

For Season One, did WB use the same master from the DVD (including title cards from the '80s reruns), or the Blu-ray (including ads for '60s sponsors)?
Same master from the DVD to my knowledge, think the Blu-Ray is staying exclusive content-wise.
@@dvdreviewsstudios HBO Max uses the Blu-ray masters, so I kind of hoped they became Warner's defaults.
