    more solutions for tight:
    - include more horizontal breakaway tricks, they seem to naturally untighten string (Iori yamaki 2015 worlds)
    - after each breakaway trick, try to do a frontstyle trick & vice versa. This gets rid of the half twist every new throw
    - Instead of a breakaway do a forward pass, also loosens string after consecutive forward passes
    - do a helix bind after a horizontal combo, basically a horizontal sidewinder
    - include follows, trapeze follows, reverse pinwheels, reverse hooks (all loosen string)
    - avoid too many breakaway pinwheels and behind the back tricks/horizontal frontstyle
lol i have written a full essay

But then you just post this video in such a short time. I am super happy at the moment. Thank you for taking even a single comment that serious. I hope your channel gets to even better points.

Brandon, How about this, "How to Coreograph like a pro?" Mabey talk about the beginning stages and all the way to the final ajustments of a freestyle. How do you make tricks look good? I know you did a video where you talked about scoring and what judges look at, but mabey make something where you talk about coreographing techniques and how to get started. I always start coreographing by listening to a song in my head and then making tricks that fit the beat before I ever turn on the music for real. Do not know if I am doing the right thing or not but it might be an interesting video. I know there is a lot to talk within that topic but just do what will with it.

Hi Brandon, you can also use Sleeper sidewinder at the end of your breakaway combo by turning your body to the right side if you are a right hand thrower for smoother transitions of your routine and you also can walk a bit while doing so thus space use.

I really like how you put examples from freestyles in the videos. It adds a lot of weight to your "like a pro" series.
Did you you already know about those examples before making the video or found them as research while planning for video?

Another thing that you can look for is to look for trick elements that tend to loosen the string and string in more of those as you go. Essentially, treat your string tension as a constant property throughout the freestyle and insert elements that move it into the direction you want.

I'm still learning alot of the basics.. I know this might be simple but 2 moves that happen in most speed combos is killing me.
The first on is the element were you go into a 1.5 mount but hit the top string and land on the bottom. Most people use it to start the speed combo. I can do it but getting it smooth and fast is another thing.
The second element giving me hell is the one where if you sre in buddha's revenge, roll it over both hands and the you use the right hand and maneuver the two strings into the gap and under cut. Getting that smooth has been a problem.
I hope my explanation is good enough , if not.i can find a video and give you the time Mark's to show you what I am talking about.
I hope you can do a video on this cause no one really gives good tips on how to break it down to get it smooth.

can you do a video on how to use your fingers and body like a pro? i watched tutorials on tricks like kwijibo for example where they show you how to land the tricks properly with the finger positioning which most of the times looks very stiff, but when pros does it they do it so smoothly and fluidly, and without even looking sometimes. does it have to do with finger aligment discipline, muscle memory etc2? im bad at explaining myself but thanks for reading

Which is better shutter, shutter wide angle, or edge monster?

    • @thebrandonvu
      @thebrandonvu 4 ปีที่แล้ว

Samuel Dean depends on preference. I like the Shutter the best. It’s the most stable of the 3. If you like wide yoyos edge monster, if you want something in between choose the Wide angle.

Break down the judging on the entire performance evaluation? Music use can a vid alone.
Break down 5 yoyo myths? 1. Vibe 2. opening of yoyo 3. dry bearing will give longer spin 4. bearing shield 5. Bi is "better" than mono.
Side note: Left-handers will have their strings *loosen* every time you throw the yoyo
