    I believe our issue goes beyond taxes. The true challenge lies in effective country management, holding accountable those who mishandle public affairs, refraining from using government-funded trips abroad for medical treatment (especially when they claim to have improved local hospitals). On the education front, I suggest ensuring that the President's children and ministers' kids attend public schools if they genuinely believe in their quality. Ghanaians should be cautious about the allure of 'free' offerings, especially after the imposition of the Covid levy. I am wary of politicians touting freebies, given that free education has contributed to rising prices. It's crucial not to support anyone advocating for the complete abolition of taxes. My question to Dr. Bawumia is, 'If your government struggled to manage the country with existing taxes, how will it thrive without them?' I fear it might lead to increased borrowing and potential harm to the nation. I am not a fan of freebies. I come in peace ✌️.

      He did address the management in a broad spectrum, to the extent of saying "HE WILL PUBLISH EVERY PROJECT FOR PUBLIC SCRUTINY". Again, he is the one promoting digital and he has set the pace and we have seen the positive effects.

      @@jamalalkhalid Jamal, can you agree with me that we've heard politicians speak sweeter words than this? The point I was making is, I don't believe that abolishing all these taxes will benefit us. He is the vice president, leader of the Economic Management Team, and played a crucial role in implementing these taxes, claiming it would help the country. If his government is struggling to run the country with these taxes, removing them won't solve the issue. Unless he's implying the tax money isn't contributing to the nation's development and is ending up in someone's pocket, he should focus on prosecuting those who misuse public funds rather than eliminating the taxes we've grown accustomed to. Peace ✌️

      I’ve mentioned this before but I have to mention it again. If you’ve worked in a very large industry you would know and understand stand that some of your decisions would not be considered due to a system someone on top is implementing either good or bad, or even sometimes need not to be a large industry but just one person who is leading you we see that in some marriages “autocracy “.
      But when the same person is giving a chance, that same decision made when you were under someone you will revert it and implement a better system to foster the agenda. Remember made mentioned using the Estonia 🇪🇪 strategy, and what is that if not taxation system? That taxation system would not have any burden on us the citizens but the investors . Bro, imagine a Chinese mining our minerals for free and the little money paid to the people who put their lives on the job to get that gold is being taxed on when they momo it to their “poor “ family members. Is that fair?
      Estonia on the other hand, regardless of its small population, as of today, 10 unicorn companies originated in Estonia: Skype, Playtech, Wise, Bolt, Pipedrive, Zego, ID.me, Gelato, Veriff and Glia. This makes it the number one “unicorns per capita” country in the world. And that is what Dr Bawumia wants to archive for Ghana. Estonian tax a flat rate of 20% and that’s the only means of income for their country. Brother share your email I would drop a secret research “the raw materials “ with you. I only return to Ghana few months ago after so many years. I work for another country’s government, I wish I could help my country and many of us do. Let’s give him a chance brother. I’m speaking from experience.

    All those who were interviewed lacked understanding to some extent. This is because Dr Bawomia intends to make National Service open and not an obligation so that they will be valuable by the private sectors

    Dr. Bawumia gave account of the steps so far taken in consolidating all accounts eventually leading to cashless office. People rather have to file their tax returns to be given refund if any, as done in the advanced countries. The national service was introduced as a stop gap to correct the shirt falls. With the number of students turned round and the expansion of the tertiary institutions coupled with entrepreneurship training. People will be leaving schools with their own jobs. Companies will have the liberty to go to the universities and pick their own staff. The rest will still be available to be placed under the national service scheme. #Ghana Shall Rise Again. Ghana is Rising.

    You do national service to gain experience in the real world,you do natural service to serve your nation in some way,you do national service to get job offer for some good graduate,you do national service for the graduate to plan his or her next line of action thus if the person want to start his or her own business or work in government institution,you do national service to get relationship with the real world of life,u do national to put into practice what you have learn if u can fit into it,you do national service to prevent some graduate from going into hookup or fraud,Vice should have said we will even expand the natural service to the SHS people to taste the real life of the world,he should come again with solid practical points, he can talk of even the government establishing cassava factories for processing of gari and starch,start tomatoes factory,onion,pineapple,orange,maize,rice ,if we can't manufacture cars and computers so can't we do low IQ work?

      Gradually brother, baby steps. I remember when the late formal President JJ introduced JSS with technical skill to equip us with experience to stand on our own even if after junior high school one couldn’t further up, it was a very good idea. That system was launched prematurely with no where to take those artisans to. Let's move with a baby steps.
      Thank you.

    The national service aspect should be refrased, it could be that anyone who gets employed right from school can be made to pay some amount on installment after 5 years of working for not doing national service.

    • @aureliusmarkus9139
      @aureliusmarkus9139 10 หลายเดือนก่อน

      @@emmanueldoe7455 If you care to know the issue that was discussed bordered on local politics. The Vice President of a country was talking about his so called achievements and what he intends to do if voted into power. He was talking to a Ghanaian audience. People who have the right to vote and decide who becomes President. There is nowhere in the world where non citizens are allowed to engage in local politics through comments or direct participation and that is why Darryl Ambrose Nmah, a Liberian, who was hosting the Morning Show on Radio Gold was deported by the Kufuor government for making political statements. Foreigners, in every country, are barred from commenting on local political issues. It is none of their business. The tragedy about new media is that any ignorant person and people like you who are not well read make comments. It's unfortunate.

    This launching of Dr. Bawumia's presidential campaign is hightech politics. It depicts Ghana as the epitome of civilized politics in Africa. It is not confrontational nor divisive. It is instructive and collaborative. We don't need Malema , Prof Lumumba nor any other to come from anywhere to teach us how to do progressive and developmental politics in Ghana. The so-called Pan- African politicians must begin their reforms from their own countries and not in Ghana.
