A couple fun things: 1) BTS performed this Live at Grand Central Station for a late show (Jimmy Fallon I think) and that's worth a watch (done just before the pandemic hit and shut everything down),, 2) On James Corden's Carpool Karaoke, Jungkook hit those high notes too!. This MV was filmed somewhere near Los Angeles, the choreographer was 19 at the time and was the girl front and center right in the beginning, they had part of UCLA marching band record some of the song and a gospel choir record parts of the song backing track. There is another MV for ON as well (not kinetic manifesto). I believe I remember them saying that this song ON is like the reverse of their early song N.O. lyrically. When they performed it for the 2020 Melon Music Awards (no audience), they started coming down the stairs like in N.O. and then went right into ON. You'd have to look at the lyrics for both songs. ON, to me, is they don't care anymore about the hate they've received in past and even present at least until recently (thus, bring on the pain), they will keep on fighting. And, they did and they made it big!

Almost all their official MV’s are done by Lumpens - yongseok Choi… it is an amazing long term collab over the lifetime of the group; producing the artistry of blood sweat and tears, fake love, save me and the films of the BTS universe

The whole production for this was ridiculously well done. This is just the choreography video. The MV is full of religious and fantasy imagery which confuses even Army and is amazing but most of us love this version best.

I work in healthcare and this song was a HUGE motivator for me when COVID was raging, and before there was any vaccine available for it... I listened to it everyday as I was heading down to work, along with another song from the same album, "Make It Right"... it literally made me feel like I was ARMY battling it out every single day.... "can't hold me down, 'cos you know I'm a fighter"... this song kept me going through the toughest months, so it means a lot to me. BTS' "BE" album was supposed to be their pandemic album, but for me, the REAL pandemic album was "Map Of The Soul: 7", and especially this song, "ON".
This song is on my playlist for days when I need to remember I'm a fighter, I'm right there with you. Along with Not Today and N.O... anthems when I want to give up.
I know it seems like we're almost "in the clear"...whatever that means...I don't know what your job was during the pandemic, but Anything in Healthcare was above and beyond. Thank you so much. I love both versions of this.
