My dad got me a Pandora Treasure 3D King of Fighters edition for Christmas a while back. I liked it a lot, even added some extra games on there like Rabbit, an obscure 2D fighter by EA.

Pandora Box 3D can be converted to something like Retropi (emuelec) or lakka. Both can play ps1 and snes/genesis/etc. I still need to find ones that runs a amlogic s912 with more that 2GB memory. Locally I sell these from $100 to $300 modded (rasberry pi). It’s easy and you can check forums like emuline and discord. I even modded one to run like a retro pi , but it’s under powered. Pandora box 3D you wanna pick one that lets you add games to SD Card or usb stick, like twisted metal 2. One more thing you even use zero delay usb controllers and rewire it to run rasberry pi 3 or a psone mini. TH-cam and some people show how to do it step by step.
My focus on Pandora game machine is 1. Which machine can change display ratio to 4:3 from 16:9 2. Which machine has no delay while playing games? 3. Which machine has the best joy stick and button installed? Could you please recommend which one I should buy? BTW, What I don't really care is Expendability on games, 3D games.

It took me around 2 years of buying all of these pandora's box versions to find the best one. They keep releasing I keep buying want to know much as possible information. So at the end I can help you all out ;)
I watched a bunch of videos in the channel and read some other comments similar to this (about Pandora Boxes tech falling behind) and I just thank them for not moving in that direction. The other Pandora Game clones are mainly offering emulation devices for all type of consoles, with massive lists of games but their categories for what I have seen is per console. There are a lot of customers, like myself. Who are not interested at all in emulation of consoles, the less they emulate, the better actually, as they'll focus the device mainly on Arcade machines (which is what we were looking for). On top of that, in the Pandora boxes the categories are real categories of game genres, not systems. Hence that if you want to find Shooting games is way easier. The system can still be improved quite a lot, but not going in the direction of other clones and try to support more systems. That shouldn't be their focus at all.

Sad is the lack of Mod's or hacks for this boxes, Information for it is all over the internet, forums and what not. But real dedicated info is very hard to find. I guess is funny to think that if it was another platform the hacker community would be all over to break the security and be able to play more games., but since this boxes are already running all this roms, I guess they do not find fun behind them. But how awesome would be to crack the Chinese firmware on this boxes and be able to modify and customize the pandora's box the way we want them to be...?
0:55 the biggest baddest and newest that has no struggle with the most games on it, is what most of us are looking for, I guess! 3d games too in my case. Which one has the least issues with more modern games? i struggle so hard to even find specs on these things nowadays^^
I was tempted by the 3D box but just got a Pandora 6 original and I'm more than happy that it just plays arcade games only, I have my PC and PS4 for the other types of games. It's an arcade machine at the end of the day after all plus I was building a cabinet for it as I want the ARCADE feeling when I use it, one thing about the pandora 6 kit if you aren't buting a pre-made controller etc the install instructions you get with it OMG hahaha. it's very basic and doesn't really explain anything much, no user guide nothing so be prepared to do a little googling. That said it's ACE and well worth getting one!

Very detailed comparison. I had the Pandora box 4 and upgraded to the Pandora game 3d and it is night and day. The PG3D is much much better than I expected. Generally gameplay is perfect. My only issue is with the aspect ratio. On a Tv you can change this but my cabinet has a 5:4 tft and the 720p image is scaled to that. Horizontal games are fine this way but verticals are squished.
The Pandora Games 3D is the new one, with save state support for the old 2-D fighters right? Also does thr Pandora Games 3D support IGS/PGM arcade games like Martial Masters?
I think 2d games are your best bet if you take into consideration the quality of the emulation as well as the hardware limitations because 3d games are more demanding for the hardware.

Hello. Thank you for your videos. I’ve been watching a lot of videos trying to gain as much info as possible before purchasing a box, but with all that info, I’m still not sure if the right one for me exists. My primary interest in this box is to be able to play as many MAME (old school arcade) games as possible, particularly 4-player games. (Simpsons, Turtles, Crime Fighters, X-Men) Getting console games as well would be a bonus. I love the arcade gameplay with joysticks but would much prefer handheld controllers, so any Pandora system that has all the MAME games and at least some console games, can accommodate 4-players, has a game search option, at least 720p and is relatively affordable is what I’m looking for. Can you suggest which box or at least the closest to that box to this criteria would be? I greatly appreciate your advice and input. Blessings, LA 🎮🕹
I did get a Pandora Box XII Jamma Version. In that one their were a few games that were unplayable; Mortal Kombat, Twin Cobra 2, Darius Gaiden, Elevator Action Returns, Vapor Trail and Turtles In Time. Those are the ones that I tried are are unplayable. Perhaps I got a replica copy or something or it was just badly emulated. However, I am trying my luck again with the Pandora 11s Pro it hope that that one will be a better turn out.

I've got a 5s. Have been very happy with it to be honest. 1700 games including my favourites such as rtype, rastan and salamander. I am concidering an upgrade but have heard that the jamma style socket is wired differently in different units. Is that true?

What I know of that older versions have low 480p resolution output and many games run very choppy. Only still a lot of games seem to be running just fine, still if you search... search for the real PB5 they are old... and have good overal support.

Joey, Ebay and Amazon have some of them but as "Wicked" said Ali-Express...That is where I got the PB 9D, home version (not Jamma) comes with the harness to wire up to a dual joystick and coin selector, two wireless look alike Playstation controllers. No power suppl included, no big deal is a standard 12v 5amp, you can possibly use an old ATX computer PS. St the 3H store, about $68 us and $7 shipping
Hi. I build a weecade with two joystick USB encoder zero delay. If i use a pandora's box in it , can i connect the joystick in USB ports or i must use the wiring of pandora for the connection? Thankyou for your care.
I purchased the Pandora's box treasure to (AKA 3d 2550) I am enjoying this, I should upgrade the joystick as the stock one feels kinda cheap, but it works well with the arcade games. The one issue I would really like to solve is being able to use a USB N64 controller properly. I am able to plug and play a USB N64 Rage controller, and it works, except with the c-pad and analog stick. Does anyone know how to rectify this? Any help would be greatly appreciated.
One thing you dont mention is: how do you use the small pandora boxes? Cause they have a bunch of outputs and stuff but also part of the board is sticking out with the connectors as if it were a game cartridge. Does that go somewhere? I have never seen anyone on the entire internet explaining this. How are these set up?
Great summery for Pandora, can I ask have you seen or tried the "Pandora style" android emulators, I have seen them with what looked like almost Pandora clone, but with android and all the emulation systems included with that, Dolphin etc.
I would think not. These Pandora’s use amlogic s912 with 1gb. It lags on n64 and Dreamcast. I even went above and installed retropi on it, had the same issues and has more options to tweak it. You might want to drop in a Odroid N2 4gn to play Dreamcast, sega saturn, and n64 at full speed. I been using Emuline to hack my systems.

Ok i am confused and hope you can answer-me a question. I had ordered a Pandora Box 9D but... I have received a Pandoras Treasure 9S....( thats what it says on the Tv once connected) with 2710 games. Is it a Pandora Box 9s or if not whats the differences to the Pandora box and which pandora box is it? It is orange in color like the one you shown here.... Grrrr so frustrating not having any idea if its a fake or genuine .... Ps it plays well and has Games/Recent/Search and it will perform the search well .... Help please 🤷♂️

I've been watching many of your Pandora video's Richard. I've been wanting to get one myself but I'm waiting until I have the money for it. I've been wanting to play golden age arcade games (late 70's-mid 80's) I love games from that time like Tapper, Pole Position, Pac-Man, Donkey Kong, Berserk, Asteroids and many others.

I've got a 5s. Have been very happy with it to be honest. 1700 games including my favourites such as rtype, rastan and salamander. I am concidering an upgrade but have heard that the jamma style socket is wired differently in different units. Is that true?
Oh well...I've bit the bullet. Ordered a pandoras box 12 with 3310 games. Hope it fits by box. Shame it's going to take months to get here from China. Flamin coronavirus.

Can the Jamma unit, like those on beginning of your video with the usb connections etc be used for plug and play rather than buying the whole arcade box set up?

Yes new version is coming, they are moving from the 2 player arcade sticks to Retro Home Consoles now. ;)

Hi, great video, which of these work via the jamma connector on an arcade machine with a cga monitor?
The biggest question is which one plays the metal slug games. Can the old versions play them decently
What I know of that older versions have low 480p resolution output and many games run very choppy.
Only still a lot of games seem to be running just fine, still if you search... search for the real PB5 they are old... and have good overal support.
My 5S kicked ass. I had never of the Metal Slug series before but it was an awesome introduction and they played marvelously.
Why not try raspberry pi. Emulation on this is pretty good. Flexibility and easy to add roms more options.
What is the wireless function used for on some of these? Is it only for updating games or can some connect wirelessly to the TV or even support online play?
With all these boxes Wireless is looked at the controllers.

I got the Pandora Games 3D and I'm worrying about whether I can save progress or not. I can see there are GBAs here. Whenever I save and load, then go back, everything's gone.
I have the latest version Pandora 3D and I can not save PS1 games in game. I can’t find a way to do it either! I just want to beat Nemesis on hard mode without having to start over from the beginning!! Lol

Hi, I have a question… I bought an arcade and there is a Pandora’s box 5 inside it. I wondered if i can just “swap” it for a newer version like DX Special? Or will this mean i have to rearrange the cables and stuff too?
is there any way of connecting a usb keyboard to allow me to use the keys to get out of service boot menu for some MAME games i.e. defender in particular - pandora 3ds+ or does anyone know of a workaround?
I honestly gave up on the PB. Searching for one here in the states on eBay or Amazon is a total crap shoot.

Joey, Ebay and Amazon have some of them but as "Wicked" said Ali-Express...That is where I got the PB 9D, home version (not Jamma) comes with the harness to wire up to a dual joystick and coin selector, two wireless look alike Playstation controllers. No power suppl included, no big deal is a standard 12v 5amp, you can possibly use an old ATX computer PS. St the 3H store, about $68 us and $7 shipping
Hi. I build a weecade with two joystick USB encoder zero delay. If i use a pandora's box in it , can i connect the joystick in USB ports or i must use the wiring of pandora for the connection? Thankyou for your care.

I purchased the Pandora's box treasure to (AKA 3d 2550) I am enjoying this, I should upgrade the joystick as the stock one feels kinda cheap, but it works well with the arcade games. The one issue I would really like to solve is being able to use a USB N64 controller properly. I am able to plug and play a USB N64 Rage controller, and it works, except with the c-pad and analog stick. Does anyone know how to rectify this?

One thing you dont mention is: how do you use the small pandora boxes? Cause they have a bunch of outputs and stuff but also part of the board is sticking out with the connectors as if it were a game cartridge. Does that go somewhere? I have never seen anyone on the entire internet explaining this. How are these set up?
It still amazes me that people can play these games on a HD screen. That would drive me nuts.
Great summery for Pandora, can I ask have you seen or tried the "Pandora style" android emulators, I have seen them with what looked like almost Pandora clone, but with android and all the emulation systems included with that, Dolphin etc.

I would think not. These Pandora’s use amlogic s912 with 1gb. It lags on n64 and Dreamcast. I even went above and installed retropi on it, had the same issues and has more options to tweak it.
You might want to drop in a Odroid N2 4gn to play Dreamcast, sega saturn, and n64 at full speed. I been using Emuline to hack my systems.
is it possible to connect the pandora jama box directly to the tv? thought to buy cheap and good as possible and thought to play only with controls. just need a box where you can play all the games. anything you can recommend then?

Adding controllers is a nightmare ..... Pandora DX is the only one that supports some controller beside the china versions 😅

I have received a Pandoras Treasure 9S....( thats what it says on the Tv once connected) with 2710 games.
Is it a Pandora Box 9s or if not whats the differences to the Pandora box and which pandora box is it?
It is orange in color like the one you shown here....

Hello very nice video. I bought a PB 6S. I don't know that a fake PB is. I can scroll the games but no game can start. I can actually only play 4 or 5 games. I need a clone or copy from the SD card. How and where can I find. Thans.
