I understand both sides. On one hand, yes he needs to face reality that he Kourtney will always come before him. But on the other hand, Kendall, Kris and Khloe continue to say things like “oh you’re family, you’re my son, you’re my brother” etc. But then turn around and not invite him to stuff and don’t tell him about it, when they know he’ll find out. I understand why Scott is hurt.

Scott has to understand that even though he's like family, he really isn't, Kourtney is, and he has to understand that they put her, her comfort and happiness above his, not below or equal to it. Now she has another partner and he is the one they have to invite and if Scott's presence can take away her happiness or comfort, unfortunately Scott is left out, he has to understand that, he did not know how to appreciate Kourtney, now it is just her ex, that's all.
But he's not "like" family. He IS family. He's always going to be the father of her children. He's always going to be an uncle to her neices and nephews. They are his nephews and nieces. His kids share their DNA.
Now, they can always decide how their family will look. But let's not pretend he isn't actually family, and that despite the break up, he's always continued as a part of the family.
My point is not that he is not family, he is! But if Kourtney, who literally is, and her husband are there and Scott, her ex, the one who cheated on her, is there as well, there is a high probability that she will feel uncomfortable, in that case the most logical thing is that he is not there and as an adult he must understand that without throwing tantrums!
This is what happens with the continuous blurred lines of boundaries. I get that he is part of the “family” but only as the kids’ father (currently). at some point both he and Kourt would also move on from their toxic relationship and have their own separate relationships. He’s brought his past girlfriends over to them in front of Kourt, Kourt has a husband who loves to display public affection. Scott and Kourt would both have to navigate co-parenting in their new circumstances but it takes TIME. He can’t expect everything to be the same when it really isn’t. It’s a major change in their dynamics and at the end of the day, Kourt is their daughter/sister.

Scott isn't mooching. His parents, whom unfortunately passed away while he was in* his twenties, left him a healthy inheritance. He does not need the Kardashians. He is only wanting people to call family. He has struggled with his demons over the years, I sympathize with him. However, he does need to cope with the fact that his vision of a family is long gone.
Again they are his ex’s family and that’s that. Whatever feelings or issues he has is not their responsibility the moment he treated his ex the way he did.

Never been a huge fan of Scott’s, but Considering he has no family left, It’s understandable he doesn’t want to loose his extended family as well. Idk I feel for him in this situation. I wouldn't say most of his life. He was 30 when they passed and they even held Mason. The kardashians were more than generous to him, gave him somewhere to belong and a career. A guy that values family doesn't act like Scott does, if he did, he would have kept his family together, he would have tried to make them proud and worked on himself. It's more like he saw the gravy train leaving and he panicked. Meanwhile Travis was in a plane crash and he doesn't use that to manipulate Kourtney. He's out here facing his fears for her. That's the clear difference between them. I hope nothing but karma for Scott.

I remember when all the Kardashians treated Scott as more of a son and brother that they did Rob. They had a strong bond for years, those are his kids and no one needs to totally exclude him. It’s a simple matter of courtesy. Or does Kris no longer need Scott for Her Show?

This is exactly what I was thinking. He needs to take his children to his home and create his own memories. Take them on vacation and not rely on someone else to plan and pay for it. He had many years to marry Kourtney and chose not to. He needs to grow up and realize that his actions have consequences. He is having a big case of “fear of missing out“. I know that no one will agree with me but I feel really bad for Scott. He included Kourtney in his vacations with Sophia! That family promised him he would never be left out. I really hope as time passes he will be able to hang out with Travis & Kourt.
He destroyed the relationship. Kourtney has boundaries and since she has a new partner it’s more than understandable that she doesn’t want to include her ex in every family gathering. She doesn’t owe him anything except for seeing the kids. I personally don’t know a family who still invites the ex. Usually they take turns on who has the kids ok the holidays. He should be grateful if they still include him and shouldn’t have such hight expectations after what he did.

I remarried but for the sake of my oldest daughter and her narc dad not having family around, I always invited him to family dinners. We made that decision before she was born that his daughter and my 2 kids with current husband would NEVER know a broken home. They've never had to experience an argument and never had to know his dad and our dad and I never spoke ill of her dad. I feel like Kourtney would intentionally act like a teenager making out just to make everyone uncomfortable. Scott is part of the family and he loves everyone, so I understand his stance on it.

Two things can be true. Kourtney is more than entitled to live her life happily with Travis. The kardashians have said for years that Scott was apart of their family. He’s entitled to be with his kids at their birthdays and holidays. Pushing him out entirely is just plain cruel. But he does need to manage his expectations, he needs to be okay with not being invited to everything.

They didn’t establish clear boundaries and now that Kourt has started to set it up it’s a “weird” thing. Literally, Kourt watched all her sisters grow from being born to now. Scott was there maybe half that time. Kourt doesn’t need to involve him unless its related to their kids. Kourt’s family don’t have to invite him if they think it might be uncomfortable for Kourt’s new family. They treated Scott because, as fcked up as it is, they were pushing for Scott and Kourt to get back together. But now he’s just being treated as the father of Kourt’s kids.
