  • Who said that big duals are not made for off-road riding?
Beppe Gualini, former rider at Paris-Dakar and now Ducati Riding Academy instructor will explain why big duals are a perfect fit for off-road riding.

Soprattutto guidate in off road. 👏

Thank you for sharing this informative video. However, I don't think any myths were busted here, as the title states. These techniques can be applied to all motorcycles, and a lot more effectively on smaller, lighter ones - the reason being that the average rider has limited strength, technique, and above all, mental bandwidth. More of each of these things are required with increasing weight and size of motorcycle, thus a lighter, smaller one will be much more manageable and enjoyable off-road. There is a good reason for the market shift towards less displacement and weight.

Beppe, thanks for the video. That's good information. I am often thinking about the superb time we spent with you on the Ducati Adventure Tour in September 2019. The DRE Enduro Academy is a wonderful asset that Ducati has. I feel it's a great benefit to all those people who have been able to attend. I look forward to visiting again in the future.

I enjoy the challenge of riding my heavy BMW GSA in enduro environments. I consider myself a slightly below average “off-road” rider, but what can be accomplished on a big bike is both amazing and rewarding. Forgive me for not doing so on a Multistrada, but I do own a 748 mono-posto and 939 Hypermotard SP. Stay safe my Ducati friends around the world (actually everyone) 🤓👍🏻

Thank you for the video! But I do not understand why to create heavy Enduro motorcycles. This is extra power, fuel consumption, weight - all these are rather disadvantages! Especially weight, when you go alone and the route is difficult very quickly get tired of lifting.

Is the subtitles not useful? I speak barely a word of Italian but still found this both informative and interesting.

What a silly and pointless video, made to promote equally silly, heavy and pointless behemoth bikes. In other words "if you cant ride a 250kg bike off road, its not the bike, its because you're not Chris Birtch". Thanks for the input mate, much appreciated!!!!!
