I love how they added emotional situations after the first Gears of War. Makes the story more intriguing when you get the know the Gears on a personal level.
Dom is by far my favorite character. Cole is awesome, Marcus is a badass, Baird is hilarious, and you gotta love Carmine, but Dom is just cool, plus he's the only Mexican Gear.

Yup this confirms a lot of it for me. I swear all of the actual character models were based a good deal off of the voice actors. That's how you create good looking characters man, Original sounds to Original (Tweaked) looks. Love. This. Game.

for anyone who says "oh a true gears fan would have beaten it just a day or two after it came out", that isn't necessarily true. I'm a true gears fan yet I took two weeks because I wanted to play the whole campaign with my friend who couldn't get it yet.

@FlintSparkedStudios In my opinion there shouldn't be any soiler alerts, if you're a real Gears fan the game should have been bought any edition and beaten in 2 days tops a week if you are a noob and or take your time. But after that you deserve to have the gme spoiled if you haven't done so.

He kinda looks like Dom; all he need is the armour, a Lancer, a little bit of facial hair (prior to finding his wife), and to get BUFF.

I always thought it was an odd coincidence that the guys name is Carlos, and Dom had an older brother named Carlos, who died in the Pendulum Wars.
@triboost711 Dom joined the COG during the Pendulum Wars (the war before E-Day) as a special forces commando, hence the "Commando Dom" name.
