You are proving what I have been saying for years - the general quality of the big name luxury bags has fallen significantly over the decades, and you really shouldn’t have to spend more than $500 USD for a great quality bag. Thank you for introducing us to real luxury products from legitimate companies in Spain. I will now start switching out my preferences from Italian leather to Spanish leather for my handbags and shoes. Please continue to showcase the smaller, more obscure companies that you feel make excellent products, like Poulene. I am going to start writing down these names and shopping from them.

Please suggest a good one.. even though i dont wanna buy the really popular ones im inclined towards buying a bag from celine ..dunno if its worth it though..its not cheap but not everyone carries Celine so it has bit of an exclusivity factor nad its minimal and so chic.

Shoes and handbags made in Spain are more affordable than the Italian ones and far superior. Spaniards don't get enough recognition but so many luxury brands actually manufacture their products there!!
Spain has traditionally valued quality over design but now there are really cool Spanish brands that are bringing really interesting designs in addition to quality

The Spanish makers have great skills. However, I have found that the forms they use to make shoes for adults are outmodef, and they always run too small and don't properly fit American sizes according to our bone structures and size scales. I recently bought shoes made in Spain for an American label, and their sizes were all two sizes too small. I decided to investigate the reasons why? I learned their forms are based on 400 year old forms. They do not fit western sizes.😮

What i know is that Spain uses French shoe sizing which is smaller than Italian sizing so a Spanish 38 size would equal to an Italian 37.

Dependiendo el tipo de bolso que fabriques llevará un refuerzo diferente, dependiendo de la piel, de la forma, del diseño, aprendes con el tiempo a usar un refuerzo u otro, así queda más blando o más rígido, y no todas las partes que componen un bolso llevan el mismo grosor en la piel, ni el mismo refuerzo etc, es muy complejo, eso se aprende trabajando muchos años. Todo influye en el final, a veces es más complejo lo que se oculta dentro de un bolso y no se ve que la parte exterior del bolso, imagínate el cuerpo humano, el exterior la epidermis sería el acabado del bolso y los músculos, los huesos del esqueleto el interior.

It’s only the broke people who can barely afford a $200 bag don’t know but now feel validated that because the luxury brands aren’t as high quality as they thought, while convincing themselves that although they can’t afford the luxury brand handbags anyway, that they’re okay with their everyday bag. At the end of the day, people hate others that have disposable income that they can splurge on $5000 bag and $1000 shoes, they’re not hating the brands, they’re just bitter about people who can and will afford those luxury items.

I’ve come across Spanish websites that sold leather goods and their quality looks very good. I’ve considered purchasing from them because of the quality and craftsmanship they have with their bags and wallets.

This is a very common thing also for other pieces of fashion. For example the city of Perugia is very famous for knitting (they knit for Hermès, Chanel etc)

This happens in Naples Italy too. Piece work & on bright sunny days in Naples you can walk down the stair street & see the whole family working on leather bags & selling them to passers by.
I have lovely artisanal leather bags from Kenya and India. They don't cost too much and i don't care for brands. I like good quality leather with good craftsmanship. I got some engraved with my initials very discreetly on a buckle or a button. It looks high end and discreet

I buy both, each has its own unique (and delicious) taste if it’s fresh and of good quality. Buy smaller quantities of good oils so to have a collection and use them up while fresh.

I do some hobby leather working. The issue is, these days the leather sheet would cost me about $100, and not even for the top quality leather. Obviously, the big companies have significantly cheaper materials costs. Still, pre-Covid. I was getting sheets of leather for $10 apiece. Admittedly, they were the cheap and small sheets. But still, I have seen up to $300 for top quality veg tan.

Shoes made in Spain , Taiwan and Japan are most comfortable. I bought several pairs of leather shoes in Spain and I loved them all.

Yep produced in Spain...but better in Spain than somewhere in Asia or Latin America.. where quality of work is also high,but labour cost is extremly low and product sold as made in the most expensive factory in France

This is the same concept as consumer packaged goods. Look at Red Bull - there are plenty of small energy drink brands that use healthier ingredients and taste fantastic but they just don’t have the same presence that Red Bull does
