    Richard was so supportive of this woman! I think he is my favorite cleaner. He did not pass judgment on her and was very helpful. This was one of my favorite episodes.

    Don't these people using a ton of bleach get bleach on their nice clothes? I swear, if I even look at the bleach, I will get a spot on something I'm wearing.

    One thing that I’ve learned is that kids ALWAYS remember things and they carry it into their adulthood….at 60+ years old you can hear people still talk about what happened to them when they were kids.

    Well, it looks like Leslie and Tuesday are making some improvements. In season one, they both said that they never touch anyone else, not even to give each other a hug. But now I’m seeing that they are both doing that. Leslie is hanging on to Haley’s arm.

      Yes!! I forget which episode it was, but at the end of one that I’ve seen on TH-cam, they actually hugged the person they were paired with before they left!! Tuesday did it first, then Leslie followed! I was in happy-shock!

    • @Chiller-pc1dv
      @Chiller-pc1dv ปีที่แล้ว +5

      Because this is the opposite of how you treat OCD. You're supposed to have the people live with their uncertainty and not perform their compulsions. This show is just reinforcing their anxieties and compulsions.

    • @jadore286-sy1jn
      @jadore286-sy1jn ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Yeah, it's contra-indicated for people with OCD. Like, REALLY. Sometimes, participants voice that they hope it will maybe change their OCD for the better. It'd be pretty unethical if the show wasn't crystal clear on that it's likely to do the very opposite. Like, there was literally only one odd one out in S1E6 who had an impactful revelation. What I most seriously don't like is when they go out to check hygiene ratings. It's just so contra-indicated, through and through, and doesn't even help anyone. What would need to happen is that they do stay after checking the ratings (or not checking at all) and, without any protective measures, wait until their anxieties are heavily reduced - instead of fleeing the situation, upset. But ah, well, at the same time, the show is so motivational (while watching) to finally tackle one's own shit.....

    • @itssteph263
      @itssteph263 ปีที่แล้ว +5

      Late comment but, my mom who loves using bleach wears old, stained clothes, and chef aprons while cleaning. That way the clothes she wears in front of the company or when going out aren't ever stained. If she doesn't have old, stained clothes to wear she will buy a cheap men's t-shirt multipack and biker shorts.

    • @ardenevox
      @ardenevox 2 ปีที่แล้ว +5

      I think the mixed feelings the woman has about her mother Peggy is why she hoards those dolls, she broke down explaining how she hated her mother for neglecting her to do her cleaning regime and I think those babies are how she is somehow replicating the love she never got by giving it to those dolls, though clearly her mother did love her. Sad though that the young RAF cleaner doubled down afterwards not taking any of the good advice to heart. Clearly she is obsessed for a reason not yet uncovered.

    The Lady who doesn't want to let go of Peggy's Glass may have felt that she's saying goodbye to "Mum" but she's not. "Mum" would want her to be happy and move on with her life. I got reid of alot of stuff that I got from Friends & Fam and gave it to a Thrift Store, I got rid of Old Boxy Type TV Sets that My Late Father (RIP) used to watch his Sports Games on. My Mother and I gave them to an Electronic Type of Organization and they acted like they were on Cloud Nine.

    When I was eleven years old I swam in a community pool and got an ear infection so bad that my ear drum burst. It was extremely painful as you can imagine. I am now 69 years old and although the hole in my eardrum has closed, I recently got an ear infection in that same ear and I don't know why. I can't hear out of that ear and I have pressure and some pain. I'm using antibiotic ear drops and hopefully this will clear up. Public pools are filthy.

  • @sandrajohnson2489
    @sandrajohnson2489 9 หลายเดือนก่อน

    I feel sorry for anyone with OCD. So much time is wasted doing redundant rituals when they could be doing something more enjoyable. I don't have a filthy house nor am I a hoarder but there is no way I would spend so much time cleaning. No way. Life is too short.
    My youngest sister has OCD and it's pretty bad. Everything has to be super clean even though she has a cat or more I don't know. Everything has to be symmetrical too like coffee cup handles must be all turned in the same direction. Things like that.
    I feel that my sister had little control over her young life and she might have been sexually abused by our father but I don't know for certain. When my sister left home she took over her own life of course and her OCD got worse. She started working out excessively, running nine of ten miles a day, staying very thin even though she is tall. This is/was something she had control over and it made her feel better I guess.
