@@golemgod4445 They aren't needed for the build but they look good. For the balcony though I would recommend using double doorframes to make it look supported otherwise it will be floating.
even before you asked, I had decided I really liked the way you did the video, with the inserts, text, and look arounds between sections. Great job, I will be adding this to my village!
I have build many buildings from many different Ark architects. And you have easily one of the best and functional building designs of TH-cam. Not like some other TH-camrs in which you spend days building a giant design only to come to the realization that it rains inside on certain places. Which totally infuriates me. I did your Modern house with pool, medium Medieval house, Viking village(truly epic),Quetz Hanger And Tek facility. Also used many of your building techniques and designs with my own interpretation. loved your modern/Tek style builds, you don’t see them as much!! To answer your question, and some pointers. -Your cuts are fine, they are very easy to follow. -Use text to point important things out during the build, you can do that with every step of the build. Do like a voiced verdict with opinions/alternative suggestions and special pointers at the end of the video, for a more personal touch, if you wish. It would save you the most time like that. -Make a control/material layout, for every console so it’s easy to do even for a beginner. Showing the materials/controls when doing specific actions(for example rotations). -Video speed/camera position is perfect don’t change it. -When doing a difficult placement with a wouden fence foundation/double wall/difficult snap point/ on for example a ceiling highlight the position of the snap point for extra detail. -Use upbeat music, vocal/trance/chill etc. That would change the overal feeling of the videos intensely. -Focus on interior design, that would make your builds look more epic/cozy. And your thumbnail would look even better for more views! You could ask another TH-camr who is more focust on interior design for a collaboration, that would save you the extra work. And you’ll get more views from their channel. -When for example doing the ladder trick to position yourself straight, explain with text what your doing, new players would appreciate that. -Use filters and photoshop for the thumbnail, so it doesn’t look so basic. -Use beautiful locations on maps, so it will look better in overal. -Don’t have other or duplicate houses near the actual build, it can be distracting and it makes a better picture without them. I’m not trying to be a critic, or to bad mouth you. Just trying to help. With your designs you should be in the top 3 best Ark builders…
I appreciate that ALOT, thankyou :) I do try to balance both aesthetics and function. Some of those older builds I did i'm going to remaster to get them up to date with some of my newer videos. I definately want to get back into doing some more modern/tek builds for sure. I appreciate your feedback! And alot of the things you mention I am already implementing. I'm in a phase with my channel where I want to differenciate from other more well know builders. Yeah this thumbnail was basic I was just testing out what the click through rate is like with different thumbnails, you can probably see now I've changed it already, the one on now is the original thumbnail I made for this video and I think it's better. Again I appreciate your kind words and your feedback, peace :)
I love the build. Definitly gonna use this when Fjordur comes out. They way you present the build and making of the build is fine. Think a bit more detailed texts on what your doing would be nice. The use of the layout in the corner at the start was very refreshing to see! Only point I would make out is that maybe go a bit faster when you do the same thing over and over. Like with the roof you couldve sped it up a bit more imo. Anyway, keep up the nice work. I really like the builds youve done so far!
You do an awesome job building and deserve many more followers. I’m new myself. Hope you don’t mind I’m adding you to my list of ARK Gods Playlist that build like yourself! Keep up the kick as content!
Wouldn't mind hearing you explain as you go. Music is great, but. I've not been playing for 7 years, so some of these build ideas could use explanations. As to cuts? Which ever gets us more content?
