One Vision mod for C&C3:KW install guide.

- This is a quick installation guide for One Vision mod for Command Command & Conquer 3 Kane's Wrath. This is only for the original disk users and also includes people who have it through steam.
If you have the ultimate collection or have a stand alone through EA's Origins service this video probably will not be that helpful. Since EA has tendency to screw up things on a regular basis through there service when it come to community created content.
1. You need an un-zip app. I use personally use WinRAR which can be found here:

2. Go here to download the mod itself:

3: Go here to download the mod launcher:

(Sub point: make a replay in game (through a skirmish or online play) if it's your first time installing Kane's Wrath. It helps for getting one particular folder into your document file.)
4: Unzip the One Vision folder content (only that one folder and no other side files) into:
C:\Users\[User Name]\Documents\Command & Conquer 3 Kane's Wrath\Mods
(If there is no Mods folder then go ahead and create one)
5. Unzip mod launcher anywhere you want (personally I have it on my Desktop).
6. Start the launcher. Another window should pop up. You should see list of two thing either No Mods and One Vision. Double click One Vision. Once it's loaded up you should see two drastic things changed. First there is no EA logo screen on start up. The second is when you go into skirmish mode you will notice there are no more Vanilla GDI, Nod, or Scrin factions to select from. Instead they will be AAF, Rengades, and Messgenger-8. If you see those two things happen you have installed the mod properly.
[A side note: if you do have the Ultimate collection through Origins you might want to download and install this: bibber.eu/downl... first before you go through any of the steps mentioned above.]

Probably because I had little faith in it actually being helpful. Especially when people ran into errors I could not really help them with. However with all my friends it seem to have worked out for them perfectly.
I even helped one guy who had the origin version. My short rant in this video is due to fact of trying to get his version to actually work. It was a complete nightmare. Never really want to do that again. Otherwise I would have tried to get a guide up for that version as well.

Btw. if you are still interesting in bringing up some content, maybe we could arrange something? Maybe some gameplay footage, some friendly matches or just faction like Mental Omega did. I'm afraid I have no clue about video editing, otherwise I would have made something for my mod a long time ago xD
Can confirm this still works for me, I use the Steam version and it works like a glove, simple of instructions honestly and I'm glad I managed to see it being a success without having to do so many attempts either. Ty for this, really appreciated it!
Really? I cant seem to get it to work! Everytime I try and play it, steam starts to play and then stops, and then goes back to the mod launcher screen. Its like it doesnt hook the game properly. Please help

Not entirely sure what would be causing that error honestly. I have heard about this error with other games through steam (Skyryim, Fallout. 3, & Red Alert 3) It seems like an error that is caused through steam itself. Unfortunately I can't personally recreate this error myself, which mean there is no way for me to troubleshoot the issue.

Mate i ran to a problem i did all you said and after i double clicked on the mod it showed me error which is EFOpenError:Cannot open file "E: Kanes Wrath/cnc3ep1_english_1.2.skudef".The system cannot find the file specified. Help pls .. :X

Wanted to give a try for the mod, but the latest release 0.95 on moddb has some guidelines and the skudef, but where are all the files? Like the main mod feels like its missing. Anyone knows what's up?

Hi every one ive been having errors whenever I launched the Mod Launcher (WrathEd Mod Launcher.exe) for the mod "one vision". ive read the word document for the .90 version of the game and one of the reasons why it gave me error was (copy pasted)
One vision crashes on startupFor some
players the game crashes when starting the mod (see the example on the next
page). This can be easily fixed by doing the following steps:
Start
the vanilla game (don’t start One Vision)Go
to your settingsSet
“Model Details” to high.Exis
Kane’s Wrath and start one visionFor
some unknown reasons mods for Kane’s Wrath will crash at startup if you have
your “Model Details” set to low.

Can someone help me, i just update my kane wrath form 1.0 to patch 1.2, but everytime i play, it say that "no dvd-rom drive found" ?
ive got windows 10. wen loading the mod launcher and trying to play one vision I get an error (exception in exception handler). need help plz
i did exactly as u said, but when i click on "one vision" in the wrathED, it launches the game without the mod, can someone help me pls ?

Hello, please help.
I know that origin version of TB Wars 3 and Kanes Wrath isn't popular anymore, and that EA doesnt support the game and its modding.
So I bought the Steam version of the game, just so I could play this mod.
But it doesnt work, the game doesnt hook, it tries to boot up but then returns back to the mod launcher screen. Any ideas or know what might be happening??

The mod launcher works just fine with Advanced AI mod but not this fucking mod. Guess Origin has you beat.
Mod launcher does not with this mod. They have a more direct install now except the older versions. Origin is still terrible and EA knows that so they put back there back catalog on Steam (since Mass Effect 3).
