Never use convection mode for cakes. It makes the cake dense and cracks. You should use it in roti mode. Convection mode is to crisp food. Cakes should bake light and fluffy and have some moisture to it. Look at the spots on the cake and the inside of the cake. It's crisp on the top and dense on the inside. Please use on roti mode and show us.
