Just finished a weeks camping trip around the Highlands, Old favourites like Glen Coe, Glen Nevis and the West coast, also the Isle of Skye. Fabulous time had by all and not a midge in sight, we had nets and sprays and candles but the wee beasties didn't show. Cheers Murray for your inspiring videos and your top fashion tips 😃👍
Another great video Murray. I can confirm the bogs have returned, and the paths are wet once again. Just back from 4 days taking in the beautiful Cairngorms, with a wild summit camp on Monadh Mor, taking in Beinn Bhortain, Cairn Toul, Devils Point, Carn a Mhaim, Ben Macdui, and Derry Cairngorm. Some challenging weather with descents from localised thunder & lightning. A wonderful experience but as always commanding the respect mother nature deserves. Thanks for all the great content!

White bridge and the red bothy . Recognise them from the East Highland trail last month. The hills looked tempting but we were on a tight schedule. Got into the whole wild swimming thing this year , the great thing about having a partner who's a seasoned swimmer. The triple buttress loch was a fantastic place .

I’m going to assume you are referring to Loch Coire Mhic Fhearchair at Ben Eighe :) Too fresh for me - I’ll stick to the Isles of Glencoe swimming pool if it’s all the same (jacuzzi and sauna after wee walk in the glens there)

Good hill! When I did this one, I cycled in to White bridge where I left the bike, (and lost a cycling glove). I also nearly stood on an adder on the descent! If I remember rightly there are some good examples of rocks which have had holes worn into them by pebbles, (like you would see in a riverbed). However these are on the summit of Sgurr Mor.
Thanks for that tip Murray, I'll remember that when I next want a bit of a longer walk! It's so easily done, but at least you got to see the same views at different speeds. Hope your legs recovered

Absolutely love Linn of Dee spent so many happy days exploring this area when I was a bit younger and fitter so thank you for bringing this video to us as it is such a wonderful area to explore. ATB Murray and continue to bring us these wonderful videos.

Good video as always, not long been back from cycling the same route while doing the Cairngorms Loop. What a spectacular part of the country the scenery is up there with some of the best in Scotland in my opinion. Cheers !

it was really warm - a good example of why hiking is not good in that sort of weather. My son actually commented a few weeks ago, after being soaked to the skin on another hike (video en route), that he found it easier being soaked than hiking up the hill in the heat of this day! I was in the pools and falls of glen etive around the same time Murray. What an amazing swimming area that is . But only in low rainfall folks, treacherous otherwise. periods
Absolutely agree Alistair - rivers were low and less dangerous - most back up to full levels so care and knowledge required - they can be so dangerous .
My wife got the midge net but she cannot remember where from (she apparently Google’s mosquito net for VW t6 and found it ) sorry I can’t be more specific - good luck ATB Murray

Great channel, but I do wish you would use feet instead of metres, at least for heights. After all, Munros are hills above 3000 feet. Who knows, without looking it up, what that is in metres? And even here in France, the French do not measure everything in metres. They use inches for TV screens, car tyres, even BSP for plumbing.

Spent quite a bit of time around that area. One of my favourite places. Don't ever recall it being that hot though.
We've done that hill too. It was much tougher than we'd anticipated, as are lots of Corbetts. Great video xx

The Fairy pools on Skye are fantastic and some of the sandy Lochs in the Fisherfields are a nice spot.
