I bought studio a few months ago. All the amazing features aside, just the fact that it was a one-time purchase and not a god-awful subscription was enough to make me want to buy it
I watched your earlier video and asked you a question if it was necessary for someone like me who am not a full-time video editor but a filmmaker. You answer prompted me to buy Da Vinci Resolve. Thank you Jason. And now I see your latest video elaborating more on the reasons and I am ever more glad I made the decision. I value your advice. Thanks so much for making this more detailed video.
It's more of a hobby than anything else for me right now, but I've made some pretty advanced effects in fusion. Finally got this just lately. Should be a lot less roto, and some other really nice effects there.
Just bought it and used my AMEX points that I had. Paid $150 in total. Didn’t need it for what I do in my videos, and I’m a beginner, but that price I paid was a steal.
Great video!! I wanted to ask you a couple of questions. Could you tell me what model your headphone is? I once tried a Beyerdynamic with my MacBook Pro and it had very little volume. They told me it was because of the ohms. Secondly, do you have a tutorial or could you tell me if it's possible to make a preset from the delivery page so I can export audio stems? (music, sfx and vocals) Thank you very much!
I think it is worth adding one more reason why it is worth buying ver. Studio. With the purchase of DaVinci Resolve ver. Studio Your license is also active for Fusion Studio (a separate program for creating typical special effects somethig like fusion page but more efficient). which must be purchased separately at the same price. That's why you have 2 products for one price.
Hola hermano! Saludos especiales.
The voice isolation is wicked. So the speed warp is better than the optical flow when slowing down clips, I only have the free version so that's what I use. 32K wow you must need a computer that has a cpu like the size of a truck lol Would love the full version thank you for the video Jason ATB to you
Great heads up! I'm interested in it's auto tracking. Like putting something on someone's shirt and it automatically tracks and morphs it. I believe that's only available in Studio version.
@@JasonYadlovski I struggled through Camtasia, Final Cut Pro, iMovie and more, and hated them all, before I moved on (and up) to DaVinci Resolve. I've been using it for 3 months now and absolutely love it. The only missing element is some quick graphic overlay animations (such as circles and arrows), that Camtasia had perfected.
In the new version 19.1 the mouse cursor constantly rotates (blue circle) during the edit. As if something is affecting the work behind the scenes. Please everyone sent a report to blackmagic in order to fix it. Thank you
quick question, anyone please help. im trying to edit a video, and i cant hear anyone audio. ive tired every tutorial on youtube nothing works. could someone please help. iv'e tried multiple different versions of davinci too nothing has worked for me.
Well, the voice isolation or removal of voices in the background unfortunately still doesn't work. Example: I wanted to record the sound of waves on a deserted Baltic Sea beach and just then children arrived and tried to scare away cheeky seagulls in the background. They ran after the seagulls who wanted to steal their beach toys and kept shouting: "Get out, get out, get out". I tried all the AI options in Fairlight to get the voices out. 0 reaction. The AI probably couldn't separate the bright children's voices from the sound of the beach. What a pity! But it could also be because I used 5.1 MTS audio (6 channels).
Yeah, there's really no good way to remove voice from background sounds - only the other way around. I'm sure BMD will add that because a lot of people ask for it. Like an inverted Voice Isolation.
Reason #1 to NOT buy Resolve Studio: You love rotoscoping by hand. Better to sit there for an hour painstakingly mousing by hand instead of going to get a coffee while Magic Mask does its thing. Reason #2 to NOT buy Resolve Studio: You are a professional audio tech with a studio and lots of expensive gear, and your audio is always perfect. Who needs that girly-man Noise Reduction and Voice Isolation! (which works quite well, by the way)
DO NOT BUY STUDIO (if you a little over 100$ extra to spare)! Buy the DaVinci Resolve Speed Editor (or any hardware controller) and you get Resolve Studio with it... I bought a Studio key a couple years ago and am now considering buying my first bit of hardware and really wish I had just bought a controller right away... the speed editor costs 395$ so it's just 100$ more than a Studio key!

Bought the Speed Editor a couple years ago when it was $300, it came with a Studio license. One of the best purchases i ever made.
I just picked it up after using the free version for the past year and a half. I'm so excited to really appreciate the full scope of resolve!
I hope you enjoy it, the Studio version is a beast and super powerful! 😁 And you'll never have to pay again. 😜
No need for it at all.
Free version does WAY MORE than I'll ever need and I make a LOT of videos!
Love the FREE!
Thanks Blackmagic!

I got Davinci Studio many months ago for precisely those 10 reasons and a few more.
Just bought it and used my AMEX points that I had. Paid $150 in total. Didn’t need it for what I do in my videos, and I’m a beginner, but that price I paid was a steal.
You've convinced me I need to buy Studio Jason.
Oh wait a minute I already have studio.
Danrn it I'm missing out on the sale price! 😂

Thanks for the info! I didn’t know that worked for fusion studio as well. Great to know, I appreciate your comment!!
I did it, finally. Now I can get the drone noise out of some of my footage.

Thanks! You should be able to buy it from anywhere online....I'm not sure though.

Cheers, Jason - that's such a great price for the Studio version 🤟
Happy Thanksgiving week 😁💚
SURE DO!!!
I'm sold, thanks.
I don’t think you’ll be disappointed. 😜😁👍

ok fine i bought it
Hey I have a question.. I want to buy studio but I'm on a windows pc for now but I'm in the market for a Mac. Would it work in both windows and Mac???
yep
Yes, you get two licenses with one purchase of resolve studio and you can use it on a Mac or PC or one of each, doesn’t matter

I purchased your Fairlight course and I am in need of help. I am not getting any responses via email.
Email me: Jason.yadlovski@gmail.com
I’ll help you out.
I haven't seen you email anything yet, reach out if you're still having troubles. Thanks!
Does anyone know a way to purchase Studio through the website without creating a Paypal account? I don't want a Paypal account - at all.
You can buy it through other websites, but I don’t know if they have the same discount.

@@JasonYadlovski free version, and i cant hear audio only in my timeline

@JasonYadlovski Thank you, Jason, for this honest opinion.👍 I thought I was just being stupid. Maybe we'll get it with DR 20!😊☘️
I would have bought this but my college fined me $1000 for not clearing 1 exam this semester😔
😲
"Video noise recuction" tee hee

Make a point about removing background noise but these videos and too many like them keep playing that crap in the background. 🤷🏼♂️👎🏼
Totally true, you have to do what you can to get rid of background noise before you even start recording. I’m 100% with you on that. 😁👍
