So many shots remind me of PNW or the Smokeys here in the US. If you showed me just a picture Kenya would definitely not be my first guess. Beautiful country!
The silent capture cannot tell the true tale of the hike, what lies under the bamboo thicket . I can now say it was a lovely hike. You captured the moments very well.
Without a doubt the tone of the video is somewhat misleading in regard to how absolutely gruelling that hike was/is. I however think it best to leave the more soul crushing portions of the hike a mystery so that folks are totally taken away by the experience. Thank you very much for watching,
It's so nice to see such a different environment from what we're used to, yet so familiar in the sense that we can feel the deep call of the forest. We bet it must have been a hard hike, yet your editing makes it feel dreamy. Wonderful job. Ps: so funny your vlogger cliché bit 😂
Thanks a lot, best compliment one can get from a fantastically talented filmmaker such as yourself. I’m honoured, and I’m glad you appreciated the humour too.😁
I loved it, the silence makes it enchanting👌, i really miss this Mt...done it twice and still I can't get enough of it. Wish I coulda shared this vid on whatsup so I could get someone to get a feel
Thanks Nancy I’m glad you liked the video, it truly was an experience. You can still share the video on whatsapp through the link option. Let me know if you’d like me to DM it to you in case that gives you trouble.
@@Lebbz thanks now am able to share on whatsup, this video reminded me of every stage of this hike: the beginning of the trek, the beginning of the ascending that is the entrance of the bamboo forest, inside of the bamboo, point of despair...yani the scenery is everything👌 and the silence makes it more real...thank you and good job🙌
Beautiful landscape, the mist gives a great atmosphere to the hike. I didn't know that there was a crashed plane there :( Great footage my friend. Big like
Hi, thanks so much for the compliment. In terms of gear if you mean filming equipment at the time I was using a GoPro Hero 8 on a small tripod. However now I’m using a digital Sony camera. Please like, share and subscribe.
Yes indeed he was, the Elephant Hill name is both metaphorical and literal as there are live Elephants across this trail late at night and at dusk. You can see their footprints in some of the shots. Made the solo hike back veeeery eerie.

Interesting hike. Was the guy carrying a gun a ranger?
