Spot on points there the whole way through the video. When he brought out the spare boots, I was like, WTF?! That's the sort of item held back with your grip at a base location, not in an assault pack. I'm glad you mentioned water, waterproofs and a poncho, they were my main points. Also the map , pens and notebook need to be in your pockets, not in your pack. You can't keep taking your pack off every five minutes when you need to navigate or make notes (for recce, fire missions, SITREPs etc). And if you are in a recce unit you definitely don't mark your map.
@@PreparedPathfinder pens, pencils and maps belong in leg pockets, not in pack. If doing reconnaissance, marking maps is a great way to get your CO ticked off at you,if you get captured or lose the map and opfor finds it.😂

Pretty sure they were just at a range or something, and he begged, borrowed, and stole to put stuff together on the fly. And ya, missing a lot. I think he maybe even misunderstood what was being asked of him. These are like the NATO's channel videos. In those ones, they do not give mini classes.... 19D are on trucks more often than not, with a billion different things to do and a lot of different possible missions. Typically though... just mounted recon and manning OP/LP's to screen for the main body. AKA, protecting the infantry from wandering into something they can't handle, and can't escape.
its sad to see how far our military's quality of training has slid down hill. these simple things such as weight management and light discipline should be drilled in by the end of basic.

Wasting space with unnecessary stuff, unnecessary packaging…. Grunt, this seems to be more of a quick field demo video(on their part) than an actual loadout by a scout who has been around for a few years.
Missing chem gear, flares, gloves for aa, electrical tape, zip ties, frags, claymores, so much missing...pens, maps, note pad, not even write in the rain, wtf? In your pockets!
I was 11B assigned to a reconnaissance platoon in Vizenza many moons ago. This dude is soup sandwich. Who the hell carries extra boots? Unnecessary weight. Weight equals pain. My RTO ruck was HEAVY. Break down those MREs at least. Even our large alice packs would fill up in the winter. Whatever, it's why they are not grunts. 😉

Aim point is not tied down
Ditch everything you said plus the waffles replace it with a woobie
All the formulas 🌈😂
😂😂😂
Maybe you can review the recent Outdoor Boys video where he goes into the jungle of Japan with US Marines....They're seriously eating bugs, seemed pretty stupid to me
Newb any light will be seen , also saw no water, I always have poncho, fire kit, sleep pad, sleeping warmth. dry bag. As well as zip locks for keeping things dry, as well as stashing trash, leave no evidence behind!
Wasting space with unnecessary stuff, unnecessary packaging…. Grunt, this seems to be more of a quick field demo video(on their part) than an actual loadout by a scout who has been around for a few years.
Extra batteries for headlamp but not a spare radio battery 😭 what !!!! As an RTO that’s offensive
Missing chem gear, flares, gloves for aa, electrical tape, zip ties, frags, claymores, so much missing...pens, maps, note pad, not even write in the rain, wtf? In your pockets!
Cav scout AKA raging homosexual
I was 11B assigned to a reconnaissance platoon in Vizenza many moons ago. This dude is soup sandwich. Who the hell carries extra boots? Unnecessary weight. Weight equals pain. My RTO ruck was HEAVY. Break down those MREs at least. Even our large alice packs would fill up in the winter.
Whatever, it's why they are not grunts. 😉
The idiot dose not even have a Weapons cleaning kit
Well, actually...
19D20. Everything i would have carried was O.P. related trash
No LBE or Vest And No IFAK
He has a taps system on
WOW
72 hour sissy bag.. wtf
He would not be able to complete his mission of Reconnaissance.....those items or lack there of not good.
As a 12yrd U.S.M.C grunt this guy sounds like a tool.
This is some Recriting Command BS.
Dude has 35 lbs of bullshit bag, his entire bag is horrible, needs remedial training... No go on this station.
Embarrassingly trained.😳
I’ve seen this video before it’s such a bs video.
This isn't that guys real set up, hes out for a few hours and has some stuff he added to his kit at the last minute from the PX when he went to buy cigarettes and dip and bogie bait. He didn't pack for a field exercise or deployment. He has a combat patch so he has done the real deal before.
