That 1st song they ripped off the bassline from 'Kola B'pep' by Ozric Tentacles and the 'babylon is burning' lyric is clearly ripped from the Clash....
@@RileyELFuk Yeah, it was the Ruts, i get all those pseudo punks mixed up. the Bassline for 'Hot on the Wire' was lifted from a 'Jah Shaka' - commandments of dub album and 'Beast in the Doorway' Bassline was stolen from the same source, tho it was already stolen by 'Jah Shaka' from a Jamaican recording
@@RileyELFuk no they are not... interesting that the people who say that never create any Reggae Riddims themselves. I have seen genuine Jamaican releases credit the original copyright holder (coxsone) tho not the writer.... anyone steals my Riddims i come after them.... likkle dave arrowsmith tried that and lets just say things didn't go to well for likkle dave after that, he lost hos independence and his benefits and his cushy flat...... and RDF is not Reggae... not even #WhiteReggae... they take from Reggae but the feel is totally different, it's still pub rock, but with Reggae influences, also theatrical influences like Hawkwind, No Reggae band would do what RDF do... RDF had ONE Reggae Song which was Hope, it was really Steve Swann's song, it was never in RDF's set if Steve wasn't guesting with them and it should have been done with a different band, that one bit of Bowsher on there ruins it......

The Babylon's Burning, lyric and guitar riff, unsurprisingly pays tribute to The Ruts 'Babylon's Burning', not The Clash

@@DVDFRMN That's the thing with reggae riddims, once they're out there, they're anyone's to use.
