    You have a very good knack for what people want. That's all exactly true! I love that there are people like you who get it 😎👍🏻

    That's so true, my first luxury watch was a Rolex 14060m and now 15 years later I like those watches that aren't worn on every street corner, B&R, Parmigiani Fleurier, Garrick, Ulysse Nardin, Chronoswiss, Dornblueth and others. The 14060 is still an icon😉

    I like the date window having 3 numbers, makes it more legible.

    I really like this watch and have looked at a b&r for a long, long time but I need a bracelet that has the slide or at least micro adjust feature. I know a lot of watches do not offer that at this price range but there is really no excuse not to anymore - makes the omega a standout for me

  • @alford35
    @alford35 ปีที่แล้ว +2

    First B & R I actually would happily wear!!! I’m actually really digging it. I have a Czapek Antarctic in similar color in my name at some point I might rather skip for this being that under a third the price.

    Make it 38mm, the square form makes it wear big. Fossil make watches like this and they are purposely designed as oversized fashion watches, they need to get this down in size, the 39mm they have is quartz only. In this day and time they should be able to make this in a size that actually fits your wrist, it looks huge on the wrist in this video.

    I like the BR-05 new pre-owned or gray for 3K (which you can do all day long). However $7.4K for a heavier BR-05 Bell and Ross trying to cash in on what's left of the "Tiffany Blue" craze? They will sell some of these to a few guys walking Times Square/ Rodeo Drive after drinking way too much, but they will wake up as if they had just slept with someone coyote ugly. If you like these, wait for a minute, then go in to an AD asking for 30% off. If they say no, pick up a high end Zenith, Breitling, Omega, Cartier, Rolex AK, Glashutte (with 15% discount), GS, or a couple Tudors instead.

    I love this watch the bronze dial variation is my favourite and I have seen them going around 4k which is a bargain Imo. Even tho I dont really like saying void filler but if you want an alternative for that Nautilus or Royal Oak this is a solid option I will get this for sure. I mean BR 05 but its almost the same.

    I've been looking at that exact watch and love its uniqueness. I can appreciate the design details and the balance of the three date window(heck, everyone does a single date) to balance out the power reserve dial. I like watches that are not your mainstream model/brands. Im glad they have updated the movement from their previous BR5's. How did it feel/fit on your wrist? Did it seem larger than a 41mm?

    • @BruceWilliams
      @BruceWilliams  ปีที่แล้ว

      Thanks John. Yes, it does feel larger than 41. More like a 43 or maybe a 44 on wrist. Mostly because of the square case and how heavy it is. I never found it uncomfortable though

  • @Gooddaytosavelives412

  • @namenotavailable11
    @namenotavailable11 ปีที่แล้ว +3

    Great macro shots - I can see no fewer than 3 specs on the dial and a flaw in the metal work on the movement. I would hope a luxury piece this expensive would have better Q.C.

    • @BruceWilliams
      @BruceWilliams  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Outside of VERY few luxury brands I can show you 'flaws' on any dial if you get close enough. Nothing out of the ordinary.

    So, I'm a little confused: is Tudor considered a brand using manufacture calibres?

    • @BruceWilliams
      @BruceWilliams  ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Technically Kenissi is the manufacturer which was a joint project backed by Tudor, Breitling, and Channel. Its now found in select other brands like Norqain, Fortis, and this Bell and Ross. Tudor is the driving force

    Another great review. One question, which is applicable to all watches, with my thoughts and that is regarding your thoughts on the lack of creative attention to the open case back. If that is something that is having a direct impact on the value of a watch? Putting brand name and reputation aside (and the case material, albeit I appreciate it does play a part) I feel that the movement and the dial and face design are most important. I have yet to find a watch that you wear on your wrist upside-down to merely display the movement and how good they have made it look. I do infact like watches with open case backs BUT it is the last thing that I am looking for or that would put me off a watch. Your thoughts would be appreciated and thanks for the continued good material you send us all. Tom

    • @BruceWilliams
      @BruceWilliams  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Appreciate that Tom! I think it comes down to cost. A custom rotor is a lot cheaper to do than entirely different finishing which is what I was yearning for

    • @tombland7336
      @tombland7336 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@BruceWilliams it would interesting to know why Bell & Ross opted not to. I would assume they would be in the know regarding the expectation of further effort on the decorative side of things and as such why not opt to put a standard case back on? Anyway, I really like it and fall in the category of someone who likes watches that are different or less common. I wear a Titanium Breitling Super Avenger Chrono which you don't see as much and I can't think of another watch maker that has something similar other than maybe Sinn.

    Bruce- this watch is beautiful. It’s funny, It is hard for one to spend 6-8 on this but it is likely worth every penny. I wonder at AD if this brand can be had 25 percent off. I know my local sales AD always suggests sales are low for Bell compared to other brands like JLC, IWC, etc. I do really like this peice. 😊

    Really would like to get this but while that colour is beautiful it is just hard to match with most clothes and is a little too feminine. The black dial is a bit bland and doesn't look as good. So I am hoping that later they will release some new dial colours later.

    Bell & Ross, a luxury brand? They are all over ebay for $1-2K.

    A distinctive $2K watch, not a $5-10K watch where the icons deservedly live.
