Installing the new Radiomaster AG01 CNC Metal Gimbals to my V-Control Evo Transmitter

Here’s a video showing the installation process of installing the newly released CNC billet gimbals into my V-Control Evo Transmitter. They are super smooth, I’m very happy with how they feel.

Hi there, so what was your experience with these new gimbals..? Have you noticed any issues at all, or discrepancies..? How would you rate these in comparison with the stock ones.. Thanks

Hi, I’ve had no issues at all with mine. They feel smoother, but for me I live that I can adjust spring tension and throw length from the front of the Tx. I use a reduced throw pitch stick, have done since my Futaba days around 2009-10 and used to that throw. That’s easily setup from the front.

I did the swap on gimbals following your video and my screen does not light up. The touch works just not the back light, any ideas? Is the screen light powered by the red/white wire?

I don’t now which wires do what, so I’d suggest you carefully go over each plug and check they are all installed fully. Also be absolutely sure the ribbon cables are fully reseated.

Originals are fine, new ones a billet aluminium, with Hall effect sensors, so even better than ‘fine’

​@MrRctintin I've been looking at doing this to my 1st gen Vcontrol. It's completely factory with no updates from the day it was first released. So, I should be good to make the swap. I find it petty for a company that dominates in so many areas to redo their software block radios that has this swap. Of course theirs no proof of it other then the 100s of post I've read.
