    Love your review and as an owner of a 2024 M2 with manual trans, I fully agree. This car is an absolute hoot to drive and proves to be a great daily driver and really fun toy when you want to have fun. I absolutely love it.

      Thank you so much Chris for the kind words glad you enjoyed the video and felt the same about the drive and car.
      To have this press car for a week was an absolute pleasure. It’s totally my kind of car and genuinely is one of the best cars I’ve ever driven. It’s such a rounded great car and most importantly for me so so fun to drive and enjoy.
      Thanks again for the kind words Chris, please stick around as we need more good people like you on here with us 🙌❤️

    Ordered a “refreshed” M2 last week (480 hp / 600 nm). Automatic. The manual might be good but it is old fashioned and - at best - slightly modified from previous generations. With the automatic the car is faster and you gain 50 nm as compared to the manual. Easy choice for me.
    Oh, and I have a 2022 MX-5 with the possibly best manual box on the market right now. So, I can have good old fashioned fun whenever I feel like it. Cheers and thanks for the brilliant review 👍

    I'm looking to use this year-round in Chicago, so driving in snow is a concern. Obviously, I'll equip it with a set of proper snow tires throughout winter, but it is a powerful RWD nonetheless. Have you driven in snow? What are your thoughts on this? Thanks.

    • @PeakPerformanceReviews
      @PeakPerformanceReviews  4 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      I haven’t but it has got a very very good traction control system in it which I’ve been on a skid pad in simulating super bad weather and on everything turned done it’s very impressive. If you got some proper winters you would be fine 🙌

    I'm guessing from the vid, you quite like this car? lol
    I am 1 week into new ownership of this amazing car (Manual with comfort pack) and loving it. At the beginning of your review 09:30 "Negative Flaw", you said you would show the app and how to turn off the lane change and speed limiter and to stay off. Sadly, you didn't touch on this. Speed limit isn't too much of a problem as long hold on the SET button on wheel turns that off but lane change, I still find I need to go into my shortcuts every time I start the engine.
    There is a lot to learn with all the modes and I'm trying not to overwhelm myself, just enjoying the car. Anyway, great review on a great car.

      You need to set up a memory on your steering wheel m1 or m2 with everything turned off as you like it and you only need to press m1 or m2 at start of every journey and your sorted that’s what I’ve done in mine .. but know what you mean you need degree in computers to work it 😂 hope this helps

    I do like the M2 but it really is a car for the track. I took delivery of my new M240 2 weeks ago and it really suits UK roads more. It also cost £15k less.

    • @PeakPerformanceReviews
      @PeakPerformanceReviews  7 หลายเดือนก่อน

      I almost bought a M240i 6-7 months ago and I largely agree, certainly more suitable and it makes for a seriously good value beast but I guess the M2 is a little more special and I guess that what you pay for aside some other positive things.
      But yep I largely agree, unless your use to something fairly raw i guess! Thank you so much for watch Aba appreciate the comments 👍👍

      Imo G87 M2 is perfect street car, way better daily then F87 way more fun than m240i

    • @PeakPerformanceReviews
      @PeakPerformanceReviews  7 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      It’s a tough one isn’t it, for me i personally prefer the M2 as a daily too but for most the M240i probably is a better daily as it’s softer which is definitely is. That for me isn’t a necessity and the M2 is very very liveable and to me close to perfect 🙌
      Gotta be what you need though, overall if you have the money I’d personally always go M2 over the M240i, but if you have a limit on what you have to spend the 240 is incredible

    Its a great review, but I've heard the opposite about the manual in a ton of reviews! Also in general, don't you think the RS3 is a better daily driver!? The interior gets fake sounds pumped in through the speakers from what i hear!

    • @PeakPerformanceReviews

      I would just go drive it and make your own mind up for sure, I loved it and strongly believe it’s a really good box.
      The RS3 is a better daily for sure AWD vs RWD is the main reason I’d say, but the M2 is a very very decent daily, really depends what your after. Safe or wild I prefer while and I own an RS3. I also have a very wild RWD car too.

      @@speeddemon311I have a G87 M2 and even with a beautiful full titanium catback exhaust I can barely hear the car if the window is closed! The manual and carbon bucket seats are absolutely great, no complaints at all. I feel like if you are the type to drive mostly in comfort and occasionally drive in sport you would prefer the 'safer' Audi. I have only driven in Sport+ and MDM

      This is the thing I kinda agree with incline in the sense of if your a 5 tenths kinda guy with the occasional blast and flat foot I’d say the Audi is better suited to you, the M2 is a bit more of a wild one but can be a very decent daily but the RS3 is better at safer daily duties

    The cheap "Mustang" display is so incongruous to the rest of the interior. I know it is vastly more expensive for a few custom displays, a binnacle, switchgear and this is a huge savings for BMW but I don't mind paying for Porsche style analog gauges or something. The rest of the car is wicked and looks great.

      @PeakPerformanceReviews  7 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Yeah it’s never to everyone’s tastes, overall I like it a lot inside but yeah I get what you’re saying for sure.

    • @PeakPerformanceReviews

      No doubt the M4 display is better but the mustangs is still very decent in my opinion too 💪 also the price overall for the mustang and what you get is fantastic

  • @jrzez
    @jrzez 5 หลายเดือนก่อน

    Nothing wrong with a coupe for a daily. Outside of the poor pricing, the rear bumper (front as well to a lesser degree) and color selection the only things stopping me from getting one. Why can't I get Thundernight Metallic on a M2, just on a M240i again? It would likely look fantastic with more life than just black and hide the fugly bumper details.

    • @PeakPerformanceReviews

    Ugh I'm so torn on the seats. Everyone says different things. Great for daily or uncomfortable. But they look great.
    Everyone does agree it takes finesse to get in and out.
    I'm a former track runner so I have thick legs so hopefully I fit 😆
    I was snug in the regular sport seats

    • @PeakPerformanceReviews
      @PeakPerformanceReviews  8 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      They are definitely firmer and less comfortable than the OEM type seats but are genuinely comfortable enough for daily and long term use.
      I used the car a lot over the space of a week and most my driving was hard and fast driving over not the best roads either and it was fine.
      It still would be nice without them but imho it does take the car to a level beyond in the interior and makes it seem much more high end.
      Haha yes honestly even for me at 5.6 ish ft it even takes finesse haha that I have to testify too, you do ish get used to it haha, the width of the seat though seems fine and has space

      @PeakPerformanceReviews  4 หลายเดือนก่อน

      I totally agree, it is strange. I’ve only seen one think or two since around Oct when they came out. I can only think it’s because when they come out some people see an M2 as a car that they think should be 50-60k and they were more. I think many didn’t realise how good these were and what you’re getting for the money.
      I would say more people ended up getting an M3 or M4 comp and it kind of does look that way.
      I see so many M3 and M4 comps on the road but your right zero of these.

    what kills this car for me is the dead and sticky steering. It feels like someone put peanut butter in the steering shaft. There is no self-centering either. It's bizarre. And for some reason, they all have bad alignments. The brake feel is also pretty miserable. I've had the E92 and E46M3 and this is just too far away from those standards. My other car is a 991.2 GT3, so it ruins a lot of cars for you, but c'mon BMW, how did you screw that steering up so badly????
