I like both styles. But, I think I like the fade a bit more because there's more intrigue, texture. I loooove texture. I think you're really talented, not to mention ballsy to do your own undercut. I say that because I'm jumpy by nature and I would end up giving myself an unintended stripe across my head because the dog or whoever happened walked in. It would save me some dough, tho😜. Thank you, so glad you're enjoying my videos and hair :). If I've counted correctly, I have 27 dreads. My hair isn't too thick so I made my newer dreads(the ones in the back) thicker than my old ones in the front in hopes that they would be more full, and so far they are!
I like the bald undercut. The fade, at first glance, looks like an accident! (I’m sorry! Just being honest!) But! Maybe have the long part of the fade begin not so high, like begin on half way up your undercut. I think the fade is potentially a great idea!
I totally forgot 😖 but I went with the 1 guard all the way up which has a much softer look. I was going to do the same on the side I did but then kinda liked the look of the quick high fade so went with it instead ☺️ I've got two different fades!

I think that it looks great either way. It really is up to you if you want to spend the extra time doing the fade. Great hair as always!!!

It does look better than zero, but you are right that its not worth the effort, because it only looks very slightly better than zero.
