I think the Clippard piece was part of a Cadillac. When they built the packs and wands they literally built them out of whatever pieces they had lying around. The in universe explanation for why a lot of the packs look different in terms of certain pieces was that Egon built them out of leftover firefighter equipment in the firehouse. Pretty gnarly stuff.

I just got mine today. I love it. And, after looking at it in much closer detail, I truly believe Mattel DOES have the plans for a Proton Pack in the works or at least planning stages for the future (hopefully in 2015). I was looking very closely at the hole on the bottom of the wand handle and there are actually metal contacts inside the hole as if to plug in some type of stereo jack (like a pair of headphones). I did plug in a pair of headphones to the hole and it fit perfectly and actually felt like how they would plug into any electronic device. My theory is that it will be an electrical contact point for the hose so the neutrino wand will directly connect to the back pack and interact when either turning on the wand or the pack itself. But, there are definitely metal contacts in it. I think Mattel has it all planned out in advance.

Great review for an amazingly geeky product, I never knew such a thing existed till I watched this review :) what kind of video camera are you using to film these reviews?
I Marked out when I heard the sounds when you turned it on and when you pressed the button to fire it. I would defiantly see into picking this up.
If you plug the nub from the goggles into the end of the wand, will you get extra features like you do on the PKE meter?
We need the proton pack to complete the set :)
If a firefighter uses a hose with a straight nozzle, normally it is set in a monitor or looped on the ground & sat on. I like a nozzle with a grip on it... But, if I must use a straight nozzle, just use your dominant hand as a brace resting on top of the nozzle...
In terms of muscle activation, right hand grip is better unless you are left handed

Did you know that if you get a second one and put them near each other you will get crossing stream effect on one of them?(what i mean by different effect is that i mean the wand blast is very bright blue)

There's a group of fans (Myself included) that have built the props and replicas from scratch. There's actually a site with all kinds of blueprints for everything, including the main Proton Pack, the wand, uniforms, traps, goggles, slimeblowers ect. Should check it out sometime.
I'm not interested in checking it out honestly....replicas made from scratch, while great looking are WAYYYYYY more expensive than this

Wow that is pretty cool. That is neat how they made all the electronics work together. I'm guessing this is a fairly expensive item. I guess what is next is the backpack, trap, and the detector. XD

I always hear its light and feel hollow. Does it feel like cheap "dollar store made in china" toy gun? Would you fear dropping it?
You're right it is easier reaching the Intensify button with my left thumb, but that is the fault of the production designer not Matty. I've got smaller hands so either way works for me. This so far is the best of the Ghostbusters props, while the ecto goggles were shit. Luckily I had already bought a custom off of eBay while the battery was cheaply glued at least it is more screen accurate and it easily adjusted to fitting me. Nor does it hurt my nose.

You can find it on some websites for about $200 to $600 it's really expensive because it came out in 2013

The firing sound of the wand was so bad, just a really short loop over and over, and they even managed to get the name wrong Neutrona Wand not Neutrino Wand. Baffling how the hell that happened.
