Horus the Black Flame Deity could come in handy for this. I know it is not run in all Horus decks but the effect that special summons itself and sends all other monsters to GY can reverse the tides. It doesn't target or destroy so not too many cards can deal with it. That's probably why it can't special summoned from the GY with King Sarc or it would be a too strong card.
Honestly because no one ran it, i never considered it and maybe I should. DM needs all the help it can get lol
My DM deck is very basic but yesterday managed to win on 500 LP against Blue Eyes Chaos Max (I panicked trying to get rid of it with S:P which Max can't be targeted), but used Normal Poly to go into Quintet Magician attacked over Max, then i used De-Fusion to summon back 5 monsters (2x Chronicle Sorceress, 1x Dark Magician + Girl and 1x Magician Rod) then got game just. Was happy with that despite the misplays.
Mainly use Chronicle Sorceress to put Soul Servant to draw or Dark Magician in the GY. Another thing i like to do is use Dark Magician (from Magician Souls) and Magician Rod (I try and use Rod first to bait the handtrap) then go into Chaos Angel as Chaos Angel doesn't need a Tuner.
Beating blue eyes with DM just feels so right! Sounds like you made some anime plays with quintet and defusion. Im not a big fan of chronicle but I can see its uses sometimes and chaos angel is the goat of the extra deck
@@kingmahde1 Yeah i don't have things like Super Poly or many handtraps so mine is as bare as it can be. Even got Magicians Robe in the deck. Trying to focus on getting Horus Cards first then maybe Memento as enjoyed the loaner in the event.
@@dgeneratio1 memento is cool, alot of people on stream were raving about it. Try to get those staples since they'll come in handy for all your other decks too
A smart Blues Eyes player would have activated saga of dragon emperor in damage calculation doubling Chaos Max to 8k attack. Crazily enough very few players who run Dragon based decks run this quick play spell.

Yea I probably crafted over 100 DMGs before I got the royal finish lol. Magician souls is gonna be hard to get idk if i got it in me .
@@kingmahde1 I've been trying to get DMG for a while now. Won't stop can't stop til I have one of DMG, Mahad, and Souls, be spicy if I can get a salvation I was gonna give it a go this month and cracked and got the horus package instead and learned right away the error in my ways lol I was gonna say it didn't take me 7 hrs to fig that out lol! Back to the drawing board I don't think we'll get any honest help until after fire format is done and with Fire Kings on the way it'll be a minute B4 DM has any significant help in MD.
Get the SR royals first then maybe go for all the URs. I was trying to make it work bro 🤣 i really was. I tried a lot of different formulas with different engines like bystials but it wasnt meant to be.
Hey as promised I told you I 'd let you know 1st when I cracked the code for this format! Just made it to Diamond 1 with my current build and I've only been grinding with it for a week. You'd be surprised but it's a Pure DM build
@@randolphmoody2387 you know habibi, I realized pure DM has it's unexpected merits, which is why any side engines should be kept to a minimum. Are you using Magicians combination?

Nice!!! I have Bystial version of this which plays awesome. Does brick a little but I think it's competitive.
So i gotta ask you, because I experimented a lot, do you play any going 2nd cards or is it a 50-60 card deck. Between dm, Horus, bystials, resonators and staples I couldnt fit it all so I cut bystials.
@@kingmahde1 My deck is Horus/Bystial/Resonator with Superpoly. It is 40 cards. I will try a DM version at some point.

@@kingmahde1 Try a Bystial version. I took my old Bystial synchro deck, made some serious changes to it and now I think it’s very competitive. My next deck version will be a Blue Eyes version.
I did the bystial version with dm and horus and it didnt work too well for me. Blue eyes horus may be next on my radar bc that has a lot of synergy. I didnt know you dabbled in the blue eyes.
Hey buddy... I love playing with dark magician and toons, but a friend has a resonator deck and I can't beat him. Any suggestions? Can dark magician or toons stand up to resonator?

Hey! Those are two of my favorite decks and I have a lot of videos on them. Resonators are tough to beat but they have some bad choke points like Red Rising Dragons eff is a good imperm target and Crimson Resonators eff to summon from deck is good to ash. I think branded DM especially can stand up to resonators pretty well. Toons can get lucky lol. Hope this helps a bit. Are you guys playing tcg or master duel?
@@kingmahde1ty man. Master duel for me. But I'm a bit new to this, I only played yugioh kaiba, yami or Joey when I was little. I'm going to deal with the advice you give me. Do you have any videos about Branded DM as you mention?
@@user-wm1tg5ln9r I was similar before master duel first came out having mainly played when I was younger. There's an adaptation period for sure, but once you play enough games you figure out choke points of certain decks. I do have quite a few branded dm videos. My 2 most recent DM videos have my main Branded/Diabell DM deck I use in Master Duel.
Instead of ever using vision resonator for dm, try revolution synchron instead.. much better and helps synchro from your hand. Free baronne
revo synchron isn't very good for dm because we don't summon lv 7 or 8 dragons to take advantage of the from hand eff. To summon baronne with it we'd have to normal summon it and have dm on the field and at that point I'd rather just normal summon ash to go baronne. Vision resonator isn't that great but it's a lot better because it can search when sent to the grave and be recycled with crimson gaia, and be special summoned when a dark is on the field.

@@kingmahde1 so far diabella is the best level 7 so far. It’s working so far. My next attempt at making the deck better is removing secrets completely with a similar deck. Only getting dragon knight out if I draw into branded. Little knight helps the deck too.
@@kingmahde1 my most common and consistent combo is rod going into full power chaos. Then I settle for mirrojade if I don’t get that. I really enjoy chaos angel full power and the red eyes level 7 xyz that burns as a going first board. I normally go second.
Actually that deck isn’t the one I use now. But it’s close. I took off ash added another prep of rites and some other small changes.

You can only do so much with Horus but not a bad idea

Where you messed up: why didn’t you chain S:P to the evenly match target your own S:P and the Barronne. He’s not killing you so you get to start next turn with a fresh barrone (with the negate) and an S:P.
For future duels: if your opponent goes into a board like that with an evenly first (directly into bp) you should shotgun the eternal soul at the start step of bp. The assumption is they have more than just the evenly (second evenly, droplet, chalice, etc.) shotgunning eternal soul to summon dm means that you get rod back. You are guarenteed not to die since he’s wasting his bp and you’ll start next turn with a rod and a draw for turn if he manages to stop your barrone negate. You super shouldn’t have surrendered.
I appreciate the feedback! With all due respect, I was aware of all that but like I said in the video I played so many duels to get to that end board and when it got broke, I got broke lol. I said on stream during the duel that if this board gets broken Im done 🤣. I was just beyond done with the Horus DM experiment and looking back I dont think a fresh baronne and sp would have been enough but it might have been...like I said frustration got the best of me, it happens.

Doesn't work that way it would make Horus a tier 0 not DM, plashing in another Arc-type doesn't change that its still a Horus deck and what carries it. And honestly Horus is mid its decent support but that great it can carry wins but its a stretch to even consider it Tier 0.
