I recommend a two in one that will blow your mind. Band-Maid 'Secret My Lips' followed by Band-Maiko 'Secret Maiko Lips'. Do both in that order for maximum mind boggles. I guarantee you will love these ladies even more!

The NEW wave of Japanese rock/metal started to get big, more or less with Scandal and/or Destrose back in the late 00/early 10, but there were a bunch of great bands getting noticed even earlier than that back then (don't even mention the 80's japanese metal scene). BABYMETAL was the band that put the new Japanese scene on the world map due to their popularity. There are so many other bands that are so amazing that really deserve their time world wide. I've unfortunately only seen BAND-MAID once but I sure do want to see them live again...such an incredible amazing band...my heart is full of love!

Akane is certainly the happiest drummer in the world, as well as extremely skilled. This is a 'fun' song and, as you said, you can see it in their smiles and their interaction. I've never seen them as a Heavy Metal band, more Rock/Heavy Rock (with a bit of Metal sometimes) but they did an impressive 14 song acoustic set at xmas and perform ballads and add blues, funk, jazz and other genres into their music so, in the end, I try to think of their genre as 'Band-Maid'. I'm from the UK and grew up with Brit Rock in the 70's and saw many Brit bands live who were never flat and unheavy - Led Zeppelin, Sabbath, The Rolling Stones, Queen, The Who, Judas Priest, Floyd, Hawkwind, Quo and others. Can't remember any other nationalities bands I saw, apart from Zappa and The Tubes in 78, who were both quite good, if not as good as all the amazing Brit bands around then. Now Japan is leading the way and making all the best Rock and Metal music for the 21st century.

The "matter of fact social culture" (not sure what that means exactly) was the culture that has produced most of the world's greatest bands, like the ones I mentioned and also The Beatles. Not sure why you're so keen to have a go at Brit culture and music but we sure as fuck know how to make music, including a huge number of iconic bands known worldwide and hundreds of classic Rock and Metal tracks.

I instantly fell in love with Band-Maid after seeing their Thrill MV. Instantly bought all their CD's DVD's etc., and of course watched all their Online concert PPV streamed shows. I have probably watched hundreds of reactor videos of them, easily. They span a lot of genres, but I would never term them "Heavy Metal".
What impresses me most about Akane, she hits the drums so hard! She holds the sticks a little higher than most and yet it works. To me, it says that she has a fantastic hand and finger technique. Not to mention her control over her feet ... She's simply a class drummer! I look up to her so much.

The Dice, Blooming, and Daydreaming music videos are ones you will want to see soon. The Manners and Black Hole live double feature is also highly recommended - and it won't be over so soon! Puzzle is probably one of their best songs (and that's really saying something given how good they all are). Both Puzzle live and the acoustic live versions are must see if you can find them outside of TH-cam.
When someone reacts to Freedom without fail, I suggest that you watch it again and look to the left on the screen during Akane's drum solo, you will notice Miku and Kanami cheering and pumping their fists for Akane. How many other bands do you see cheering and encouraging each other, for doing a great job.( while performing). I haven't seen another band do this. Band Maid not only have fun with each other on stage, they actually show appreciation to their audience for just being there.

Just saw them live and I was basically front row. The stage was touching the barrier so they were all within arm distance and hollyyyyyy shit WHAT AN EXPERIENCE! I wanted to drown in the music
I definitely recommend the band SCANDAL! Another awesome J-Rock group with a ton of great songs. "Take Me Out", "Shunkan Sentimental", and "A.M.D.K.J." are all great starting places.
Maybe "Dice" or "Alone" MVs would give you perspective of a few older songs before checking out "Warning" or "Blooming" MVs. Yes live is great but I like these tracks on MV better. BTW "Alone" was the first Band Written track allowed to be released by their studio at that time. Almost all tracks after are Band Written.
Next reaction - Secret My Lips and Secret Maiko Lips - you have to do them back to back. Puzzle and Puzzle Acoustic are another double header review idea.

A very underrated Japanese metal band is Crossfaith. You should check out their song RX Overdrive. There's a live video that's seriously sick but it does have a lot of flashing light, so you might prefer the MV. I discovered Band Maid during covid and listen to so much of their stuff now. I see you have not done Unleash the Archers yet, another crazy talented band (from Canada) I discovered during covid. I would suggest Awakening full band playthrough first, then there is so much after that!

3:21 - The drummer (Akane) sticks her tongue out and makes kissy faces back since the bassist (Misa) and the singer (Saiki) were staring at her trying to get her to mess up her drumming. You also see this at 3:03 where Miku starts singing and the lead guitarist (Kanami) sits down right next to Miku and smiles & stares trying to screw up Miku's lyrics. These ladies are so talented and love performing together so much that they have this much fun playfully messing with each other.

He is one-of-a-kind. Guaranteed. Take a look at his solo performance on EMG TV of his song Kingdom. Rock is more famous in japan than korea. There are some well known kband im korea but they don’t get recognition like kpop does. Plus most band after a while breaks up cause the main singer will just gain all the popularity and the one who plays instruments get brush off. The members that plays the instruments cannot do without the main vocalist but the main vocalist can do it by herself so hence why most bands disband most of the time

What impresses me most about Akane, she hits the drums so hard! She holds the sticks a little higher than most and yet it works. To me, it says that she has a fantastic hand and finger technique. Not to mention her control over her feet ... She's simply a class drummer! I look up to her so much.

The Dice, Blooming, and Daydreaming music videos are ones you will want to see soon. The Manners and Black Hole live double feature is also highly recommended - and it won't be over so soon! Puzzle is probably one of their best songs (and that's really saying something given how good they all are). Both Puzzle live and the acoustic live versions are must see if you can find them outside of TH-cam.
When someone reacts to Freedom without fail, I suggest that you watch it again and look to the left on the screen during Akane's drum solo, you will notice Miku and Kanami cheering and pumping their fists for Akane. How many other bands do you see cheering and encouraging each other, for doing a great job.( while performing). I haven't seen another band do this. Band Maid not only have fun with each other on stage, they actually show appreciation to their audience for just being there.

I definitely recommend the band SCANDAL! Another awesome J-Rock group with a ton of great songs. "Take Me Out", "Shunkan Sentimental", and "A.M.D.K.J." are all great starting places.
Maybe "Dice" or "Alone" MVs would give you perspective of a few older songs before checking out "Warning" or "Blooming" MVs. Yes live is great but I like these tracks on MV better. BTW "Alone" was the first Band Written track allowed to be released by their studio at that time. Almost all tracks after are Band Written.
Next reaction - Secret My Lips and Secret Maiko Lips - you have to do them back to back. Puzzle and Puzzle Acoustic are another double header review idea.

3:21 - The drummer (Akane) sticks her tongue out and makes kissy faces back since the bassist (Misa) and the singer (Saiki) were staring at her trying to get her to mess up her drumming. You also see this at 3:03 where Miku starts singing and the lead guitarist (Kanami) sits down right next to Miku and smiles & stares trying to screw up Miku's lyrics.
These ladies are so talented and love performing together so much that they have this much fun playfully messing with each other.

He is one-of-a-kind. Guaranteed. Take a look at his solo performance on EMG TV of his song Kingdom. He is definitely a live performer, but this studio performance allows you to just focus on him and his vocals (he writes it all) without the distraction of all the other awesomeness going on in his live show. Rock is more famous in japan than korea. There are some well known kband im korea but they don’t get recognition like kpop does. Plus most band after a while breaks up cause the main singer will just gain all the popularity and the one who plays instruments get brush off. The members that plays the instruments cannot do without the main vocalist but the main vocalist can do it by herself so hence why most bands disband most of the time
