    Gotta hand it to you, making and releasing this video in conjunction with Rose Anvils release is a great touch. Kudos to whomever came up with the idea and made it happen.

    *Neat to see the leather being hand cut for some pieces and others stamped out. It is cool seeing how thick the leather is! 😊 Thanks for the collab! These are awesome boots!*

    I bought my custom O.T. Pro 6" from you because of Rose Anvil giving your company a positive review. Now I wouldn't wear anything else at work. Thanks to both of you.

    Already ordered a pair of the 300s in safety toe. Was waiting for this release, but I ran out of time. Now I just ordered a pair of these bad assed bear slayers for my personal self. The thought that went into these boots is pretty clever. Great name and beautiful boot. Can’t wait to get them on my feet.

    If all JK Boots start to have that "bear slayer' design it would be a signature game changer IMO.

    Very cool boots. I’d love to see them with a black vibram sole as well. Maybe even some other color options? Interesting idea and unique 7” uppers is definitely outstanding.

    Is this boot using the technora thread? I dont remember white thread before.

    • @jkbootsusa

      The white thread is not technora. It is special to this limited edition model and all of our Canyon Bison boots have white thread.

    in case you're wondering why your boots cost what they cost. Bro's hands look like they're Perma bruised. a lot going on to make a single pair of boots.

    Can these boots be resoled? I'm confused with what happens with the screws.

    • @jkbootsusa

      Yes these can be resoled and rebuilt, the screws are just taken out at the time of resole and replaced 👍

    • @RHATHEN

      @@jkbootsusa I still don't understand, we can't take and put in screws in the same spot, right? Over time the screws would get loose, is there a way to work around this? like switching the sole and placing the screws in another area that has no holes? I don't think any soldier wants to have holes in their boots after the screws fall out, or even after resoles having holes in the midsole if the screws are placed in another area that has no holes... -2 screws also makes them lighter and balanced? 360 stitch down is more water tight too...
      My idea or suggestion if there is no way to work around the problem of the 2 holes in the boot after prolonged use:
      Switching the boots screws for a 360 stitch down (both ways prevent the shoe ripping apart) (The Cons are that leather won't wrap around heel as well and there is a risk of the cord stitch breaking). Removing the 2 screws and using 360 stitch down would make the boots able to have MORE resoles and last more years?
      Why use screws?? I see short-term benefits only. If I buy a boot I don't want to rebuild it, I want to resole it until the boot has lived it's fair life.

    • @jkbootsusa

      Thanks for the questions, i will try my best to answer them! On the O.T. we do add three screws through the 132 unit sole. The front of the heel is a high stress part of the boot that requires extra support. As for putting the screws in the same spot on the resole, depending on the size of the boots in a resole the new sole will be the same size, meaning the holes generally align when resoling 👍 We already do stitch the boots 360º, you can see us do the heel portion at 23:09 Hopefully this helps clear up some confusion

    • @RHATHEN

      @@jkbootsusa I am talking about flaring out the leather on the back portion of the shoe, just like it is flared out on the front portion of the boot (and stitching all the way through). As long as the screws do resole well as you say then I think it's an insanely sturdy build and there is nothing to worry about! Those screws make the boot indestructible and no need to worry about stitch breaking! Faster to screw than re-stitch👌. I also bet it feels real nice with the leather wrapped around foot instead of flared out as I say.
      ''It's all a game of trade offs isn't it.'' The type of build and what benefits or cons a person can get. Interesting! Best build for someone looking for a long lasting boot that's easy to resole and that's very comfy on the heel of the foot. Less waterproof maybe but that's debatable, never seen a test on it.
      I appreciate the response.

    • @CallsignArchangel

      there is a midsole. it's on your heel and arch where you need it. if its under the ball of your foot and toes, it's just going to resist bending.

      That’s a lineman shank, midsole spans the whole length
