I took mine apart. I repainted it into the colours I wanted. It has two washer pumps for the water jets, a new slow speed motor, drive shaft and 4-blade prop. The crane and life boat are omitted.
Could you please clarify additionally. Should you allow the pump/tank to fill with water only if using spray feature or every time when running this boat? Interested in using as retrieval boat but not if unstable.
Much better then the last video i just watch there tug boat was not has detail as good as your boat and the water cannon on this boat you had to buy the pump motor to have it work , are you ready this other boat cost 400,00 dollars yes 400,00 dollars!!!!
I bought one … it’s junk, barely a nice Walmart level toy. I bought it for the hull and super structure and gutted it, painted it without the “scale” attachments 😅lol … painted everything and it looks ok if one is not critical. Installed a 54o brushed motor, hobbywing esc, metal 45mm prop on shaft bearing also real servo….basically overkill for a rescue boat, should a made a pvc pool noodle thingy… but hey I’m retired! Peace
Great video. By the way, will Heng Long or other manufacturer ever create the 1:16 scale RC M48A3 Patton tank. I'm surprised the tank isn't in the market considering the role it played in the cold war
Scaled details? the scale is all out of whack.. those tyers on the side are way too big.. the crane is a bit bulky and so to is the tower on top.. I got one of these and made a few changes.. changed to a brushless motor/ESC.. Flysky 3 channel digital radio/receiver and added lead ballast to take out some roll when turning.. did a custom paint job too, it turned out pretty good..
@@TylerScow the guy in the video said that it had scaled details or maybe you didn't notice him say that... I wasn't whining, I was pointing out that these so called scaled details were not to scale. then I added the things I did to improve mine. so next time before you make a criticism get your facts correct.. I guess you don't have an eye for detail.
I have one but it's very porly made sadly.. loved the ship but rudder snaped way to fast.. and overall build quality irs just not there.. Super nice video tough
Seems a bit delicate and light if it needs water ballast. Not the best ingredients for a retrieval boat. Especially at 23 inches. This seems like a weak answer to the Pro Boat Horizon Harbor Tug which is 30 inches with real ballast and weighs in at 10 Lbs... also with lights and water cannons. That one is made to retrieve RC boats and planes and does that well. This...I don't think I'd trust it to actually do any work. Good price on this one though if you just want a small inexpensive tug model to putt around the lake or pond...as opposed to the $500 Horizon one which is more rugged, bigger and up to the retrieval task. I'm not sure... this one here may have come out first ... several years ago and now is being reintroduced. Motion RC's Bancroft Fairplay is a Great looking Tug boat that also seems pretty tough / rugged as well. I may get that one of these days as well I do get the other poster's comment though as to who would want one. Tug boats are the ugly ducklings of boats. But if you don't happen to have a kayak or canoe handy when your rc float plane or boat gets stuck out the on the lake or river. A tug boat that can actually retrieve is quite appealing.
✌🏻😎🏴I only have one question. Why would anyone want a tug boat? 😂 there’s nothing cool about a tug boat. Not even real tug boat captains want to be on a tug boat😂.

Great video nice boat thanks for the great content

Every time while running the boat
The water helps keep the boats center of mass low that way it doesn’t tip over

Just got the 27 mhz version!
Is this a kit
No. It comes ready-to-run. Just put it in the water and have fun
@@MotionRC thanks
Looks like a Kort nozzle, but its not...lacks the profile

I want one to rescue float planes with
Love it. Used to watch the tugs work in NYC.
To rescue my race boats. 😂
