Appreciate you bro, this lowkey inspired me to get into re-creations bc I thought re-creating a Nintendo track to sound as close as you did was nearly impossible. I'll start posting it soon Also, when you started this project how did you go about it for making the sounds. Do you already have a sound design? background? and how long did this take
thanks for the comment ! for the project itself, all i did is what i mostly do when i try to re-create video games tracks. i listen to the music over and over until i think i get approximately the way it's made, how many instruments there are, what are they playing, when, with what effects, etc. then i go into my DAW (usually caustic 3) and i start trying to re-create it while listening to it. i don't especially have a sound design background, neither do i have any musical background. all i do is use my ears and try to re-create every sound and notes. it might seem hard or to create something that's very close to the original track. and don't get me wrong, it is, in some way. but it sure isn't impossible. if you want to hear more tips i'm here to help ! i'd be glad to know which Nintendo track you're trying to re-create, and how is it going. in any case, good luck with that !
