- I am loving using fabric on my canvases, and this is no exception. Today I used doilies, Liquitex paint, and Finnabair paints to create this mixed media canvas.

I love the idea but would like a simpler version of the doily glued onto a painted canvas. I'd like the doily to stand out instead of the paint and mini beads. Thanks for the idea. I hope Modge Podge will work.

Thank you so much. I am not 100% positive if fabric glue will work, but it seems like it might. I would give it a try on an old doily that is not important to you and see if it work. Let me know how it turns out! happy crafting!

Will Modge Podge work
Hi! Good question, Mod Podge should work for soaking the doily (this would be instead of the gloss gel) as for adhering it to the canvas I am not sure. I used the heavy gel to make sure the doily was secure to the canvas but you might not need to. I would try it out on a sample canvas and see if that is enough. Great question, I will have to play around as well and see if that works.
