Nice fat gar! They were definitely up in the rivers last weekend. I got my first ever gar and several Master Angler Class down in the Poultney all on the fly rod. Wild fish.

@@woodsnweedsoutdoors.2214 I’m staying over there for 3-4 days, so I’d like to try a few days on a lake (like lake champlain?) and get lake trouts and the rest of my time in rivers in the wilderness, so Im open to all trouts or salmon😄
@@jhulioh2844 best lake trout area is just outside of Converse Bay. Thompsons point area. Many good rivers to fish, winooski, lamoille, upper otter creek.

Otter creek is my favorite place to fish you never know what you’re going to get it
