okay this concept is really interesting to me so I'm gonna make lore for it Melodii, their up and coming DJ self, went to perform for Jamwell one day. Needless to say, the young DJ's very first performance didn't go well. But, that was to be expected! Early beginnings, every famous person dealt with it. Nonetheless, they tried again. And again. And again. This eventually led to them being heckled and bullied each concert they went to, people badmouthing their robotic-like voice, their poor use of instrumentals, why couldn't they understand they were trying their best? After everyone made fun of them and left, they just stared. Stared into the cold and now empty outside. Why were they here? Why were they not loved? Why them? It was at that moment in time that they knew it was time to give up. They would NEVER try their hand at music again. *Clearly, to everyone in this godforsaken town, they were tone-deaf.* Some may look on and see the child, their eyes obscured by shadow, and assume that they're a faceless nobody, but behind those shadows are eyes. Eyes that drop tears because this kid believed that no one loved or cared about them. They're just a burden, aren't they? Just someone who's taking up and wasting oxygen in the world. As the night falls through the sky and wet drips of rain hit the stage, the child doesn't move, too busy thinking about how they were to rid themselves from this place in due time. They were just a laughingstock, weren't they? Why would it matter if they left? The poor child raises their head up, contemplating. What would they do to erase themselves? ...Or, should I say, *how* would they erase themselves? They eventually come to an idea. Hopping off the stage and ~sadly~ miraculously not breaking their legs, they head off to the beach. Nami was the only one who hadn't made fun of them, but Melodii couldn't tell if it was because she genuinely cared about them, or it was due to Nami's lack of emotion. Not like it mattered. Wanting to hopefully appease someone in their life, Melodii eventually arrives to the beach. They look up into the sky, the shadow that was casted over their now bloodshot eyes being replaced for the quiet moonlight of Jamwell. This was their last moments here. Hopefully their mother would find a better child. Hopefully Cinnabae and Biggie Cheesecake found a better kid to babysit. Hopefully Jamtine would find another person to help her bake cookies with. ...Hopefully, Nami would forget about them. They grit their teeth as they run into the ocean, diving in and letting themself be casted away by the harsh and salty waves of the water. It wouldn't take long before they succumbed to the unforgiving ocean. The next day, Melodii's mother found no trace of the child. She looked high and low, even calling the rest of the town to help find them, to no avail whatsoever. Nami goes to search the beach and sadly comes across something that caused her heart to sink. *A pair of pink headphones with a yellow earpiece had washed up on the shore .* (Edit 1: Thurs, Jan 5, 2023 Making edits as I go on since Shiny and TheMysteriousNoir like the lore here! I'm not sure why but I think this would be if melodii found out their life was a lie similar to Kris or the other secret bosses from deltarune. Like melodii finds out their life was nothing but a game, and instead of going Insane, they just become tone deaf and act lifeless. And maybe someone finds melodii and this song would be her level theme. Not crazy or as quick like the other scratchin melodii levels, but slow and just sad or full of despair. It can also be like melodii somehow travels to another world that shows what they would be like if they were lifeless, and this would be the fight song with melodii and their otherworld self.
