Saw them in Seattle, April 2024. The new singer did well! You gotta remember, these guys started in 1968. Some of them have moved on or passed on, but the survivors have still got it. They should be respected for their accomplishment of staying on stage and sounding great for 54 years.
@@joecalleros1359 Instead David took a permanent Soul Vacation. Off the bus and out of TOP for good. They're still a tight band, but, Jeepers Christmas, them cats must be trying to outlive The Rolling Stones. -Fun fact, TOP Alum and Jeff Garland look-alike, Lenny Pickett, can still do his crazy legs dance steps and serves as music director for SNL and teaches woodwind classes at Columbia.
@@jeffreycollier1059 Well, they've got a new guy from Canada named Jordan John. You can watch some recent videos from a couple of weeks ago. Seems to be an improvement. Time will tell. Pun intended.
Not enough soul passion...bless him only few can match Braggs maybe none...the band is so freaking powerful hard to find qualified singers especially younger people that don't understand the context...of old skool down on my knees...begging u please sweet soul music...t o p foreva and eva...and eva...
I talked to a friend of Larry's a few weeks ago and he made a guest appearance for the song " To Say the Least, You're the Most." (not at this concert) I asked if Larry would ever come back and he said, Sadly, Larry's days with ToP are behind him. BTW, David Garibaldi retired from the band 2 weeks ago.
Larry Braggs was a fantastic singer...one of the best that TOP had. However, I went to a concert of theirs where they did a meet and greet, bought a DVD to get them to sign it, and all of the members was there,....except Larry. When I asked one of the members where Larry was, he just shrugged his shoulders and rolled his eyes which left me the impression Larry was a Prima Donna... which is sad...Larry was a nobody until he got in TOP...now that he left.???? Heard from him lately??
I saw a recent video, probably November of them in concert and Larry joined them on stage for "To Say the Least, You're the Most." I think it was on their 40th DVD video of interviews where even Larry said, David Garibaldi at times called him a diva. I know he was with them 14 years and then went to the Temptations and then started The Larry Braggs band. All I know and it's not only my observation, but Mike Jerel isn't a good fit for them. Garibaldi retired 2 weeks ago, so who knows how long they're going to keep the ToP train going? I saw them in Providence RI and again, the lead singer isn't cutting it. IMHO.@@jet357
Lenny Williams held his own as lead during his short stint with TOP, I believe his only signature hit as lead was "So Very Hard To Go". Went on to have a reasonably successful solo career in the 70's and 80's.
Wow that was a breath taking rendition of they’re original hit and great vocals Rick would be proud 🙏🕊️

100%
Greetings to all in TOP!
David Garibaldi: "Quit waving that stupid baton at me, maestro, or you'll cause me to have an "Oakland Stroke!"
Then you will need a Soul Vacanation

Yeah you're right! First thing I noticed being the tempo too slow. The conductor should be behind the drummer.... Heck can't he hear the tempo!
Bring back Larry Bragg's
Im in my Zen Zone
This singer does not cut it.
I was there and I totally agree. He doesn't have the stage presence and projection to front a band of this caliper.
Also he doesn't have any rhythm and can't sing. Should listen to some real R&B. Corney, Dress?.... Uh be nice. They deserve much better.

He's not of Rick Stevens or Lenny Williams quality. But, he's trying.
It’s not the same without Rick.
Who is that? Not that good.
No one does it better than Larry Braggs
