As I mentioned in the vid, NRC addressed some of the concerns on my video and the points mentioned were specifically on the original units. That said, it doesn't address all the quality differences shown in the vid. I'm glad to hear their newer units are better though!

Personally, I think I like the NRC ones better cause it was basically a strip of light with the 2 strips of accents above it which imo made it look so clean and sick. These lights to me look like it came off a pre 2010 GSXR750 to me, not as clean and kinda cheap looking...
The wrap around light on the NRC is super cool and I do love that. In person though, the quality difference is astonishing (in favor of the Futurismoto unit)
@@motonosity couldn't agree more. The quality of the Futurismoto unit is amazing - the assembly of the unit, the weight, how it fits right into the tail and how easy it is to install and tuck the cabling inside along the inside under the seat. He really does an amazing job of fabricating the unit.
Much better then the NRC Kit... this new one is beautiful.. only thing that is odd is they offer you a tuck position license kit but don’t give you an option for lightning the license plate... maybe that little light will be enough when it is night time, maybe it won’t, definitely do a follow up video of a night clip... I also wish they had amber blinkers in the rear (instead of it just blinking red)... but other then that, absolutely beautiful... and it contours the overall shape so well on that tail piece! And the front turn signals, on point!!!
The North American S1000RR only has red lights. The EU version of the tail tidy will have both red and amber. There is a 90 degree bracket option that the license plate light will shine on. In order to get it to shine on the tucked bracket a 2nd tail tidy would have to be designed and manufactured. Being a one man shop, there isn't enough of Kyle, or demand, to do so!
Received my Futurismoto s1000rr tail tidy last week (after ordering it in July) and installed it over the weekend... 100% agree with Motonosity about this kit. Super easy to install, and everything fits very well - - from the cabling to the secure fit of the machine piece. Best part of the kit? The instructions were spot on and easy to follow. I had no issues removing the rear vendors nor the tail and am very happy with this mod.
Im in AZ and have been working on my bikes exclusively after midnight to hide from the heat. I had a sticky throttle and bounced off the rev limiter at 1am the other night... That is a clean look thought. nice video!
Honestly this kit looks amazing and changed my opinion on NRC TAIL TIDY , it's good to try something new and fresh design. Regarding this kit, can you Post a pic when number plate is in normal position instead of tuck position to kinda see if it gets enough back light/ illuminating the tail / number plate
That might be one of the tidiest tail tidies I've seen. Very nice. That LED for the license plate kinda needs to go though, it just doesn't make sense given the tucked license plate. Overall it looks effing awesome.

Thanks for the head-up. A few questions: 1. You don't show the mounting process underneath. Does it attach via the same two bolts as the OEM lights/plate assembly? 2. Is there a switch to turn off the lights for a track day? 3. How is the visibility of the lights from the side and upper angles (e.g., from a truck). I don't see anything to replace the side reflectors? I understand clean, but I also want safe and visible.
I'll answer your questions... 1. You do not use the two bolts removed from holding in the OEM tail, but there are new bolts provided (with washers) that help hold the new tail tidy in place. 2. No, but it is much easier to either remove the plug into the new tail tidy or place tape over the two triangles that are used for the brake / turn signals. 3. Good question. I have not thought about this nor tested, maybe someone else can answer this...
@@johnwchicago Thanks. I installed it a couple of days ago. It was pretty easy. I don't understand why they just didn't use the same shape to fit into the hexagonal hole with the same two screws. There's little visibility from the side, so I'm glad that I rarely ride at night.

Having said that, I can say that looking straight into the rear, the lights are very bright (at night and in my garage). In terms of visibility from the side I see your point, but I'm more concerned about people in front of me seeing my turn signals (within the mirrors) than I am the people behind me. :)

Just installed my Futurismoto tail tidy (tucked) and there is no light coming out for the license plate - - so maybe that connector is blocked. I'm fine without having a license plate light tbh...
Looks dope and really custom. the two tiny lights tho don't appeal to me. for all the great form factor work, the tiny arrows look more like an older model gixxer. the NRC light bar style would look sick here. You're right about the plate light being a miss for tucked plates. The NRC and TST might be the way to go for me. If he does a gen2 with more/better light option I may be in. Shit is clean tho!
If you look at the end of the video when he demos the lights you can see the error code on the TFT (probably paid promotion). I wished he would have called this out cos over one year later this still has not been fixed by Futurismoto. I just get excuses. Guess thats why he changed to TST in a later video.
@@simonnallen I contacted them about my issue, they sent me a new board. Works great now. No code issues at all. They said the issue is with the board on earlier production units. I thought their customer service was really good actually.

Jeez, them Beamers really are a super neat design tho...dang! Nice nice bikes! i like KTM RC8's , & these type Beamers are definitely right up in top three i like 06-16 r6's mainly bcause i prefer an overall lighter machine...& acceleration vs any high speed crud. We just raised a section of highway from 55 to 65 here, no big multi-lane interstates, kinda rural out here definitely more around town type riding but, 🤷🏼♂️ i also still prefer 250cc mx bikes. I'm 31, been on 250cc mx bikes since 16 😭🤣...figure if i ever gain more weight or when am settling down then a 450 might be better. Have tryed my dads of course, Fact is sOme tracks 250s get fAster lap times, the lazer tracking thingys show 450s tad quicker up hills on track maps but 250s can usually out pace down hill areas etc...flat out sand dune drag races of course for instsnce 250f vs 450f even like 450s typically bArely walk on the 250s. Point is it's in no way half the bike of a 450 most people hear cc numbers & get mixed up & they are FuLL size mx bikes, it also just comes with same rims, but only slightly narrower 100/90/19 rears knobs vs 110/90/19's & a 250 still rips with a 110 on rear, mud races light cc bikes do run 110's etc..etc.. ha💪🔧🔩🤙aNyway. Sry to ramble LoLol story's over. 🙏Blessings *edit 😁(Ps...simply put, rev rates also have a lot to do with it all, the power delivery & feeling, lower cc's typically can have higher rpm ranges to compensate & such. One of the biggest traffic stops for equipment is license plate lights not working. You need to modify that tiny light with a curved piece of plastic to aim it at the plate or risk getting a ticket...
yeah man, we would get stopped in two seconds with that here, can’t even have integrated lights (turn signal has to be separated from breaking light) 😭😂

Anyone on here know how I might fix a faulty number plate light on this kit? It worked fine when first installed two weeks ago but I hopped on the bike last night and the number plate light is strobing and I'm receiving an error code on my dash. I emailed futurismoto but no reply yet, any tips welcome thanks

If you can't get a solution from futurismoto for the license plate light something you could consider is this: tstindustries.com/tst-led-low-profile-universal-fit-license-plate-light.html Just have to find a way to connect the light to the connections inside. Hell, it looks like TST Industries is developing their own integrated tail light that might be cleaner than the one you did install. (No, I don't work for them.)
I prefer the Futurismoto tail tidy tbh... Had to wait quite a while to receive it and some will balk at the price, but it's worth every penny and to have the option or a tucked (my preference) or 90 degree angle license plate (or get both) is nice.
That happened to me with the R1 lol! NOPE not the flashers lol ((BEEP)) 😂 🤣. I love these better but this is is like $300.00 for something that has a flaw like the license plate light 🙄

You're rear indicators are red not orange?
Yeahh, the US 2020 S1000RR has red turn indicators and brake lights together. The EU model uses orange for turns, red for brake.

The position of that licence plate would just not fly with UK police. What about your state? I'm guessing it's at least frowned upon.

I prefer the Futurismoto tail tidy tbh... Had to wait quite a while to receive it and some will balk at the price, but it's worth every penny and to have the option or a tucked (my preference) or 90 degree angle license plate (or get both) is nice.

That happened to me with the R1 lol! NOPE not the flashers lol ((BEEP)) 😂 🤣. I love these better but this is is like $300.00 for something that has a flaw like the license plate light 🙄

The front turn signal look fine but that rear set up is awful and look not right! I would keep the stock plate holder rather to use either ones.

Worth.every.penny. Honestly, this kit fits perfectly, was simple to install, and looks super clean. Compared to the other one mentioned in the video - - it is hands down worth the price. (I have no affiliation with Futurismoto, just a happy customer.)
