This whole series has been amazing. It has really helped to demystify music theory concepts. Thank you for putting this together and for being such a great teacher. I definitely appreciate your work.
Great lesson! I must have stopped and scrolled back half a dozen times while I made notes. I feel like a little cartoon Uke player sitting here with my lightbulb shining over my head. Thank you so much! I'm off to relisten to all of the previous lessons on my way to work.🎉
This was fun. The pieces are coming together. My biggest take away from this lesson definitely applies to me. Trust Bernadette. She will bring the pieces together. I will continue to ask my questions as I have them but they will be more about getting my thoughts out rather than expecting an immediate answer. Have patients Bob because Bernadette will answer your questions in time :)
I find the Music Theory Course very helpful, with one exception. I plan a Baritone Ukulele, so the creation of cords takes some mental conversion. But I get the idea and understand you can not a beginner course that covers all instruments🥰.
Bernadette, I must admit, I never got the whole I-III-V thing until now. Were those whole, or half steps? It just didn’t make any sense. But now that I know the W-W-H-W-W-W-H pattern, it makes perfect sense. Are those whole or half steps? YES! They are the steps in the major scale, and are whole or half based on the W-W-H-W-W-W-H pattern. Boom! Mystery solved. Thank you so much. You are making it easy. 😃😃😃❤️
One video doubled my understanding of music structure. Wow. Are the common notes in a chord an octave apart, the same octave, or depends on each particular chord?
just a littleheads up berd, the paylist for the challenge has the 10th day appearing before the 7, 8 and 9! just lyk since it might confuse peeps following in order. thank you for your content!!
hey berd! just watched the video now, is there any particular reason why we have to up the scale to find the notes on the fret that do fit the chord we want?

This is a video I wish I had when I first learned ukulele years ago. Nicely done!
Thanks for this series! For the first time I’m starting to understand the fretboard. You’re the best!

Boom shackalacka! Level… complete!!! 😃
This is so exciting!!!!
Love it ❤ that pushed me forward a lot 🙏🏻
This lesson has me thinking about why Phil Wickham tunes down his guitar a step rather than use a capo. Topic for a bonus video perhaps.

It depends! Sometimes they are doubled and sometimes they’re a different octave. That’s a very good question!!
