There were some very nice malls from large to small. When the big ones remodeled and added multi-screen theaters that was the beginning of the end. The theory: all of these movie patrons will shop in the mall before or after the show. The reality: the movie patrons who stayed in the mall were primarily teens. Before the theaters, teens would be in singles and groups maybe up to 4 or 5 kids. After the theaters, the groups would be 10, 15 or more kids. They became a nuisance. Just a thought.
