Great, and thank you! If you could get the Wynton Kelly solo on “Walkin’” on the Miles Davis’ album Friday and Saturday Night at the Blackhawk I would be greatly in your debt.

im quite sure at measure 5 the G in the right hand should come on the 2nd triplet note of beat 3. So with beat 3 being split into 3 parts it should be (x G x) as opposed to (G x x) it doesn't land right on the beat like you have it. (Although I know it sustains). Im transcribing the solo myself actually and am checking with yours lol but that's what I disagree with so far. Also in measure one there should be a C somewhere that clashes with the Db cuz there is a crunch there. Man your work is awesome tho

You are one fine transcriber, but I don't understand that tortuous "modern" jazz vernacular... 😢
Talk to me in straight Beegie Adair, Fats Waller & Stride, Dr. John, eeetc language and we're back to decent intelligible communication.

are you for reals? you’re missing out on ALOT. i thought dolphin dance was one of the accessible and melodic modern standards?

man you are missing out on so so much - get on Kind of Blue or some late Ellington (Duke Ellington and John Coltrane maybe) and you won't regret it

Do you play piano ? If so, playing around with the tune and trying to make up coherent phrases through the changes can spark interest for hearing out how others deal with it. Having the tune in the ear helps a lot. It's not only logical ii-v's, it's also about colours and you can intuitively tune in to their emotions because you took the time, before, to hear them at your own pace. And, the melody is beautiful

@@e.d.1642 I guess if you just jump into the solo without being familiar with the melody it would make these kind of pieces a bit confusing.
