I'm glad that barnacles made an appearance. 🙂 Whilst most barnacles are too thin and fragile to be utilised as a gem, I've noticed that "purple four-plated barnacles" are quite suitable for some jewellery work. I think they'll look wonderful alongside charoite. Barnacles are in my opinion, often overlooked and underappreciated as a gem material.
I have a correction. The most valuable part of the conch is the conch pearl. They are very rare and I think they have been shown on this channel before.
I love that you both have all sorts of fun facts to add into every video, I love learning all things so it's like the sprinkles and cherry on top. Thank you all! I am never disappointed in this channel
Stunning video, loved it! Gave me very summer beach vibes and those would all be great additions to a beach / summer themed display. All the shiny things.
That was really interesting, but I have to correct you Rob. You said that all the ammolite in the world, comes from Canada. But you are wrong. There is also ammolite that is found in Montana. As a matter of fact, Theo Kellison just put out a video today, on how to polish and prepare the ammolite. He lives in Billings Montana and often finds fossil baculites, and ammonites with ammolite in their shells! The finds are from the Yellowstone river and they have been finding them for years there. So not all ammolite in the world, comes from Canada. And those fossil corals were awesome. I love the agatized ones. They are awesome and they look so cool under the black light! And those cabs of petrified corals are amazing! I'm definitely going to have to check out the store and get me one! Thanks for the info!
Yes, we made a mistake! Rob was right that gem quality ammolite is only thought to come from the Bear Paw formation, but on further research, it turns out that formation extends all the way to Montana!
Oh my gosh Pearls and Abalone!! I appreciate the knowledge and info these are all totally fascinating!!!🤩✨🙇🏽 Ammolite is so very gorgeous oh my goodness!🫶💝 Very awesome and informative today you two!!! 🙌 Lovely music choice too!~
I was born and grew up on the coast (UK) and love everything beachy! Ammolite and abalone are my favorites! I adore the blue, black and green hues. Gorgeous patterns and I love all the shells 😍🥰 this was a great episode! 💙👍🏻 Would love some fossilized coral, they are gorgeous but in many countries in Europe buying & importing coral is illegal due to it being a protected species so I wouldn't be able to get it into the country.
My friend found a couple of them outside of Alberta Canada, so that info is not entirely true. But not in quantity so it’s probably not a renowned site like Alberta.
I got two opalized conch shells fossils while walking on the beach years ago, i picked and take them home cause they're so beautifull and i never aware they were opalized, and never aware they were fossils, until now 😮 thanks to your video
Yeeesss!! All of it is just breathtaking and can be viewed for hours on end. I was wondering if you will be having more of the geodes giveaways anytime soon?. Kinda missing the crackonator. Lol
I have an interesting question for you: What is the threshold to call jewelry costume jewelry or fine jewelry when it comes to sea shells and like things?
I live in New Zealand, and a mate of mine has Maori neighbours that have a lot of Hangi's, so lucky me gets all the paua shells after, I have so much polishing to do,
Smash Fishing channel based in UK Jersey isle forage,s and cooks Abalone when it's the legal season .The locals call them Ormers .They look delicious scrubbed clean and tenderised with a meat tenderiser mallet .He then coats them in flour ,egg wash and bread crumbs in a bread cake served like a burger . Mainland UK doesn't have any Abalone .
Funny I just watched a video by one of my favorite prospectors (Dan Hurd of BC) and he was visiting a friend in Alberta with Amolite/Amonite rights. All prospecting of it is illegal unless you hold a contract. Also you my find interesting one of Dan's main claims of his own is BC picture stone.
They were briefly unavailable on our website (a collector may have asked they be placed on hold), but are now available again. Here is the link: www.jtv.com/product/opalised-shell-fossil-free-form-set-98-99ctw/BOF029

If, evolution was not a Godly Creation, then barnacles would be our Gemstones. The colorfulness; [of an Artfull Creator]: (is magnificently diverse); in Nature's finest Gemstones, & creations!🙏🐚🐠🦄
I love you guys dearly and am a faithful fan & subscriber. But as an avid sea glass lover & collector, I must tell you that those are the worst examples of sea glass EVER! Sorry. You had an opportunity to show some of the ocean's smoothest's wonders and you missed the mark.

Have you ever seen a Cape May diamond? Found on the beach at Cape May, N.J. They can be cut and faceted to be set in jewelry.
Its a cristal, like mountaincristal or rhinestone. 🤗
What did the mullosk say to the shrimp?
🎶"You used to call me on my shell phone..."
His knowledge is uber sexy. Gotta love the man bun. ❤❤
I love ammolite and it is nice to be told it’s origin, country, and location
My friend found a couple of them outside of Alberta Canada, so that info is not entirely true. But not in quantity so it’s probably not a renowned site like Alberta.
Abalone is also popular in Chile. They call it Loco. I thought it was great although I do believe it was cooked.
Wonna see Rebecca here! Where is she?

Wow! Lucky you! Glad we could help
Dang I’m sad that ammolite is only found in Canada. They have all the cool stuff up there.
Yeeesss!! All of it is just breathtaking and can be viewed for hours on end.
I was wondering if you will be having more of the geodes giveaways anytime soon?. Kinda missing the crackonator. Lol
Thank you! We can't say for certain, but it does look like we will be bringing the crackinator and our geodes back one day soon!

Don’t present the video like it’s the first time you’ve seen these things when you sell them as merch
Queen Conch pearl would of been nice too include around the neck of the lady.

Great, as always, with thanks. But the vocal fry and pitch do need some development to work, please. There are standards for tolerability.
