I think the red text (for now) is used for conditioning the player about branching narrative. Basically it's this dev team saying "If you see red text, be prepare to make a consequential choice" without telling the player directly. So down the line when quest and narrative gets bigger the players will be ready to make the choice without making a mistake.

On a side note if the red text is lore related and not game design. I'd say its related to Sparkles "changing the script" / rearranging memory. @@Mortyferus cmiiw but when in the hallway we do get the red text first and then the choice, but then in the room we get the choice first and then the red text. i think the one in the room is not really us making a choice, it's just that they're showing which dialogue get affected by our previous choices
Imo, I don't think changes in color text meant branching narrative as we always have branching choices(especially on some side quest)in the game already. It could be an Alter ego of her talking or that's just the way how the developers present when the one you talk to suddenly changes their tone(or depict murderous intent?) like they become another person or something
What Adventurine said about her was true. She's an emanator of Finality and *she can go back in time* to decide for another choice again, but forgets most of the event that transpired to her after she does it. Meaning, those red lines that you see there is clearly a test for her to know if you're following the same path as her as well as probing you out if you're indeed related to her before she regresses.
Actually, what you are saying makes sense because just before the astral express warp jump toward penacony, the moment the MC got influenced by the Remembrance zone we could see some memories and when this first meeting with Acheron end, Pom-Pom come to see you and one of the dialogue option is : « I saw memories of the future » (iirc). So all of that to say that, maybe the memories that flashed through the MC after the warp jump were those of Acheron (From the future), moreover she said that their spirit/dream are somewhat linked in this zone.
No Aeon has been confirmed yet most chosen were guesses in game. Considering she had Sam on the back foot should tell you how powerful her Aeon is though.

My theory is the entire Penacony, even the "reality" area, is time looped in a Dreamscape. In the bugged Dreamscape we encountered on the Express, we could see some fastforward events and we met illusions of characters we haven't actual meet yet and they were talking about what you didn't know. Trailblazer and Acheron are 2 invidiuals that somehow could aware of the time loop slightly. The answers you gave Acheron in the intro would determine how much your character had looped. If you pick that you didn't remember her, it means that the number of loops was still low. Acheron was assigned a different room with a different number to ours, and her stepping in was entirely for helping us. If you choosed that you remember her somewhere, it means that the number of loops is high and what had happened started to leave an imprint on your memory, as well as Acheron's. Since these loops are not 100% same with each others, there will be loops that Acheron had been actually assigned this room and she ended up kicking Aventurine out because she thought this was also her room in this loop.
@@saddog6527 Yep, I found out that the red text is actually random regardless of what you have picked in the "first" Dreamscape. The theory still works though, just not relies on your choice anymore.
My theory is that, the moment anyone is 'invited' into Penacony, those people are trapped in the dream world and Watchmaker is behind it. Why? 1. In the 'Its always Night in Penacony' show, near the end, the bar scene.. it had 3 guys talking. 1 from the Bloodhound and 1 from the Iris, the last guy, being all sus - made the 2 argue, and said something about the Watchmaker. 2. We have been told that the Watchmaker is an enemy. Sunday also seems pretty sus, I would think he either has a deal with the Watchmaker or the real him is being confined by the Watchmaker. 3. Whenever we 'wake up' from the dream world in the story, we don't really wake up. Basically it's the same as you dream of yourself waking up, but you only woke up in your dream, not actually waking up from your sleep. This could be similar to the day-loop quest in Sumeru, where Layla figured out it was a loop. I think, the character that would realise we're all still in the dream would be one of the playable characters instead of us (the TB)
@@esmondgoh3112 Probably Acheron had already realized that this is a time loop even if her memory was also wiped, and she were trying to help us as much as possible during "reset time" at the start of Penacony. She was the first one who taught us to wall walk while later while traveling with her and Black Swan, Black Swan was the one who taught them how to wall walk. At the same time, I think Sam and Firefly are also other people who was already picked up the time loop thing. While in the Reverie Dreamscape, Black Swan had used her Rememberance ability as a Memokeeper to scan the area but Sam was not detected, so I think he had immunity to Rememberance, which could also be the reason that he was picked by Elio for this mission. Firefly's memoria left behind also mentioned that "If I could try again..." that caught the attention of Acheron about "try again" part.
There is a clock that you can fix in the dream reverie, where in MC's thoughts there are red texts. And from what the text says it is usually anger or rage. When you fix the clock you receive a creepy film thing and you can either choose to keep it, give it to the family or leave it there. I personally chose to keep it and now its in my inventory.
The disk is a hidden achievement. Give it to the bloodhound next to the main bird in the dream. He explains what it is, and gives you rewards. This completes the achievement.

@@9990zarai've read about Aha joining the express for a year as a companion only to betray and explode a planet alongside half of the train just for shit and giggles. Can't really rule out that theory. Aha is an absolute menace😂 On the other hand, the red text works like some kind of deus ex machina to connect the current acheron to that exact moment of branching timelines. So maybe the current acheron is not yet an emanator but her future self is. And her future self can connect to her existence throughout the timelines. Since Terminus was said to see the world backward and all.
There was a moment where i tried to refuse a request from her in red text, but eventually you cant refuse and things kinda went her way... I think this is mechanic just like Kafka's spirit whisper where her text was in yellow when she was using it, acheron must have some domination effect as well.
I also clicked on choices that refused her and she just kept saying that she can't hear me until the remaining choices were the same (agreement to Acheron) but the other one is in red text. gave me the heebie-jeebies
I don't think it's a domination effect. Rather, your option text turned red because you exist in a branching timeline where _you'd never chosen to refuse her._
I had the second text for my playthrough. Her knowing what was going on and stepped in. It fit and I didn't think anything of it. Today I have been watching others play this part and all got the first text of her lost. I was confused and thought I may have missed something as I didn't remember that. haha This makes so much more since now. This changes how I will watch the red text when the next chapter comes out and see what my firends do as well.
When you first meet Acheron she tells you to pay attention to the red, as a way to not get lost in the dreamscape or something. I don't remember exactly what she says but she definitely tells you to look out for red.
I chose the "thank you" and "this is my room" and she said she was teasing. Then I left the game and entered it again so I can choose different option. I chose "Why haven't you left" instead and she was wondering if she came to wrong room. Then I re-entered the game and chose the first mentioned options again and she answered the same. I think there is two or more types of red text answers deteremined by all chosen options before red text but it probabaly won't change anything beside red answers. It can also be devs informing us about different answers.
i got the first one when i did the quest, btw if you chose not to trust adventurine and leave with black swan you get an alternative ending at the end of the quest similar to when you chose not to board the expres at the beginning
Seeing the red text the first time gave me a sinking feeling I havent felt since the early Hi3 chapters. I had fun the entire time doing the penacony quest but theres always a knot in my stomach telling me somethings definitely going wrong. And sure enough it did. Im honestly excited to see what the team is cooking up in penacony, let the newbloods have a taste in what we eat up in Hi3 lol.
Got that one too, it makes sense if I think about my answers they kinda contradict each other, for example, first I said I probably remember her and last I said I didn't, and did the same on the other answers too, I think there is a connection between the red text and time
As the Emanator of Nihility she makes everything meaningless. Acheron is very much like IX himself a black hole in which if pulled by it nothing you do means anything. This assures me that the Stellaron Hunters do not follow the Nihility and probably the Finality because the MC has been able to defy the script that Elio gives you (Kafka and Blade quest). Acheron on the other hand forces you into things and when you deny her she changes your answer to a red text. She didn't pull her sword for Firefly because it was meaningless..she is stuck, haunted by the Nihility nothing she does matters she is but a black hole sucking and destroying all including choices and will.
For me ... (with my stupid idea from one novel, her sword + her red umbrella in splash art!) It's like her sword talking to us in red. You can see in one shot that it has mostly red design with something look like a symbol maybe eye and Acheron design is mostly purple. Also combine it with Honkai Impact she can be emanator of Finality (or corruption).
it will still change even if you choose the same choices btw, i dunno what the trigger is tho. got 3 different responses from her except for the one where she's introducing herself.
another thing I felt with Acheron, and Penacony is that that I think there is a 'loop' event happening in the dream world. The reason why Acheron asks you if you have met before is because it was not her first time meeting you or us the 'Trailblazer' she met us in Penacony. She teaches us how to use the 3d room, and later she is oblivious about it when another character teaches us how to use it again in Penacony proper further in the story. This is where Acheron herself learned how to do it, and taught us it when we first get there. Another idea I had in line with the Looping is our new friend that we make in Penacony. I think they are who will become March 7th. With the looping I think the rememberance group either make a deal with us, or they down the line makes the deal themself to be 'reborn' and are placed in the ice to heal, and put in the path of the nameless to truly become a trailblazer like they wished.
Glad to see I'm not the only one connecting Firefly to March. Though I'm leaning more to a theory that when March became an ice sculpture (most likely due to the illness Firefly told us about), she split into , a body that was found by Express and consciousness that came to Dreamscape.
The only thing the red text makes me think is umineko's red truth lmao. Anyway, i think acheron is probably the key to solve most of the mysteries. And maybe Misha. Why him? Cause like when we go in the true dreamscape and also in other occasions the name Mikhail pops up. And both Mikhail and Misha are variations of the name Micheal, so Misha could be Mikhail or be related to him. As for characters like Black Swan,Sparkle and Aventurine i think they just know something more than us, not necessarily ALL the truth but still more than us, and are acting according to their own agendas (so i wouldn't call them evil or good. Aventurine and black swan probably are acting because of reasons, and sparkle cause well...she's a Masked Fool so she's probably messing around cause it is fun)
I think that’s the timelines thing. She literally says it herself “for a split second it felt like countless versions of you alike yet distinct gave entirely different responses”. And then after she speaks about upcoming tragedies in golden dream she says: “And finally your sight will only see black and white. But believe me in that monochrome world there will always be a glimpse of fleeting red and when you make a choice it will reappear before you once more. What you must do is ponder its significance.”
I think the Red texts, story wise, are about things outside Elio's script. I did everything except "why haven't you left" and picked "this is my room" and I got the second red text. More Red texts come from her while progressing the trailblaze mission and one of the Red texts I saw that really suspicious was while talking to Sam "I" was the only text in Red when she asked about Elio's script and Sam said there was nothing about her in the script. Maybe Acheron is like a variable and her choice can affect what Elio's script is like the trailblazer but more impactful maybe. Edit: Also found out after the recent xianzhou Loufo quest that it also means the death of a character seeing as if you choose red text to ask for help huolai will kill them Which makes sense since Acheron is Emenator of Nihility and the color of red
Reverie dream, A child's dream, and our first encounter against the big meme monster(i forgot the name) with Firefly in that looping tv room. Penacony is such a breath of fresh air considering this is a mihoyo game

It was different for me. I chose all the same choices as you, and in the room she says the second dialogue. Then fortunately my network got cut and it restarted from the cutscene and she goes on to say the first dialogue....🤔

I thought the red text was stuff she'll forget... or remember. As someone else said it looks like it denotes branching conversations and maybe in 2.3 those branches will chsnge the story, but then it's a little odd that only Acheron has that red text...
Spoilers ahead from the earlier part of 2.1: When Acheron spoke to Sam, she asked him if she was in Elio's script, to which Sam said she wasn't. Interestingly, when Acheron said "I", the I was in red text. Perhaps part of being a self-annihilator is to annihilate yourself to some extent from the destiny of the universe. This could allow her to say things that shouldn't normally be possible to change. Perhaps that's what Sam envies about her. She's completely unrestrained by the "script".
The red text has been used in honkai impact on at least 2 occasions, one was when a character was speaking directly to the player, not the character but the player, you. The other instance was when a character was directing their chat towards an omniscient god that could see and know all. Do with that information what you will

While I very much support the theory that it’s her alter ego talking, it seems to work differently from your classic double personality character. Her speech is coherent and fluid, it’s just as if she was talking normally, but the way she speaks and what she says in red text seems somehow different from when it’s in white, even when the two sentences are perfectly connected. A very weird feeling
Now I'm scared, it's very strange how the red text changes depending on the account. My theory is that Acheron contains a dual personality but it is trapped in her body and that personality is the one she remembers us the most, for some reason I think that if that is true we will see something similar in her combat mode (more or less like Jingliu) In her dripmarketing, her hair was somewhat white and the background did not match the purple aesthetic of the character, so will she have a second form? (These are theories, please don't judge me and don't give me spoilers either)
Somehow, if we compared to Acheron counterparts in other Hoyoverse games. It actually kinda rhymed Raiden Mei essentially one person only Raiden Ei was two person pretend to be one Now Acheron is one person but with two personality Seems neat to me
She does seem to have a second personality. Her banner art has a white shade around the end of her hair and... There's the fact that if you know how to rip models she has two with different textures. But eh most likely we will get a confirmation in a few days when the beta for 2.1 drops.

@@Dfathurr Uhm So Raiden Mei DID have another personality it died for her so she can claim the full authority but originally Mei had a Herrescher personality that could take over she even had a bomb implanted near her heart to stop it if she ever lost control. So the 2 personalities fits. What if as an emanator Archeon isnt just a person closest to her Aeon but is also the Aeon's personal avatar. It might even be how Akavali got around. Pom-pom is strongly suspected to be Akavali's heart which empowers the Train and why he cant leave the train and the Body was Akavali which got killed. its WHY no one knows when Pom-pom showed up because once the train was fixed and operating Pom-pom was able to materialize again. So if Pom-pom and Akavali is right its possible an Aeon could have their body and power in one place but their mind or heart in another and that could be what Archeon IS.

All is simple: RED TEXT = another personality. We already have red text with man behind gates (Jarilo - VI). That persona - the same, which traveled from HI 3rd, just like Welt. "The memories of old friend" - for Stelle = Kiana and for Caelus = Kevin. When she travelled, her soul merged with other soul: read new Set "Divers of Dead Waters". White text - merged soul (have less experience, don`t have knack), red text - original soul, that become a "Emanator of Finality", just like MC (she can "feel" Misha presence)

Same, when I have her different different answers she said to me that as if there were many different personalities in me giving their thoughts and that led to the second dialogue interaction after aventurine left.
They are taking advantage of Penacony to use the idea that "fate is not immutable" to the extreme. In Cocona's side quest, if you choose to let go of her hand, the clothing store gets a new attendant, and at least I don't think you can find Cocona anymore (she's still alive, but she's not on the map). Probably, depending on what we answer to Acheron, she may take on a different position at the end of Penacony, perhaps as an ally or an enemy. In the Luofu, it's possible to skip Kafka's entire quest just by leaving, so in Penacony something like that could happen.
At the scene where I met her in the bedroom with Adventurine, she was saying how she mistakenly took this room as her's, saying she was forgetful and don't know which wing or section she was in. I was taking a huge dump and switched off my phone by accident, then when I loaded up again, the scene replayed and this time, she said she was just joking and knew it wasn't hers and just wanted to help. I did this for around 5 or 6 times and the dialogue keeps changing between the two

my game crashed when I was playing this quest and it was in the middle of one of her red text lines, and I saw a glimpse of what she was going to say before the crash, and then had to replay the whole scene again after booting up the game,, and then her line was different and I was like HOLD UP WHAT--

Acheron does mention being on The Hunt for someone, can't remember the full quote. What stood out to me was the fact the words "The Hunt" was capitalized as if talking about Lan, but didn't make sense in that context. I think this is a clue to the fact she follows the path of The Hunt.
Just like Kafka's Dominate mind or something, but this one is like a putting something on our mind than commanding. My theory, you and all involved in Penacony is stuck in a loop and she's interfering to break it by imprinting those words into you.
At the beginning I thought it was like an inner voice, an inner voice that somehow we can hear. For those Honkai Impact players, remember we got something similar not long ago? When Vita went to talk to Marah and the other doctors she also had an inner voice or her real thoughts (Sa) on the matter contradicting what Vita said, for example when saying "You're incredible" the inner voice said "You're nothing more than an insect too" I thought Acheron may have something similar, only that those voices don't contradict each other.
My theory is, red text indicate she talks directly to the player, not MC. When we are the one who talks in red text, it's us, the player, who talks to her
theres a dream ticker you can interact with, after solving the puzzle, you arent rewarded, you get red text as in inner monologue, felt like my trailblazer was on a villain arc
I believe she is an Aeon. The Aeon of death, Theres a quest or dialogue I remember saying shes not who she says she is and she is apart of that region of power. ( Could easily be wrong ) Theres another thing I believe that the red text is not necessarily a context changer but let alone an opinion on the matter on how YOU see her. I still won't disregard it I believe there is going to be different endings. shes important and I don't know why but we clearly remember her. She was asking questions as if she was going to try again somehow as if "Do you still remember me" and us saying we may remember her is some kind of indication that this may have happened before. Could easily be time looping as your laying there in the dream bath. and or time freezing. There are also NPCS who lost themselves within the scape. We save 2 but I think there are others. There is a lot here that needs to be thought of. We haven't even been with the group for a while, and I believe we aren't going too. This is OUR story. Something is going to happen.
There are leaks about Acheron's appearance. One is blue, like we all know. Another one is white hair and red outfit, it could be a hidden power or something

you can also get red text when you choose whether you want acheron to join you and black swan if u say no, she says she didnr hear u, if u say no again, there is no longer the choice to say no, and there are 2 text options saying to let her join us, but one text option is white and the other is red
Red text changes even if you give the same answers, is account linked, if you create a new account and do exactly the same as the first one, you will get anyway a different answer in the red text
I'd like to clear up that although Acheron herself was stated by Black Swan and Aventurine to supposedly be an Emanator of The hunt, The Finality or the Destruction, they did not state exactly what Aeon she's an emanator of. Though for me, she is more than likely an Emanator of Nihility. Aside from the leaks made about her, it's not the only thing that points to her being IX's Emanator. Her personality, actions taken and overall disposition make her out to br extremely nihilistic, if not downright clueless altogether.
"Do I have the wrong wing... or even the wrong block?" Wing and Block are kind of odd words for a hotel, no? They're more in line with describing parts and areas of a prison ^^ Kinda like what the hotel used to be, or still is?!
So does no one realize that the Red text isn't new? But rather appears when extremely paranormal entities are interacting with you? This happened twice before in Belobog in incidents taken straight out of the Shining, one of which actually wipes your memory of the incident. This is a foreshadowing I think, based on the trailer (The last Slash that actually hits Sam was red) and the character card (full of red among the little purple) and previous iterations in other Hoyo games (Shogun and Ei, Mei and HoT), that Acheron houses a powerful paranormal entity inside her. Something like a Heliobus (remember, they could also fabricate illusions and manipulate mental faculties like we do using Clockie... being an energy being gives them abilities similar to memetic entities)... but much closer to the Death entity than Tail or Cirrus. PS If you haven't done the Belobog things, highly recommend. One is in the Goethe Hotel in the overground, after you interact with every door in the lobby, and the other is at the fence by the theatre (2nd one you need to come back 4 times to finish the story).
When i saw the red texts i felt like its the best if i think before choosing. 1:02 i picked the first , 1:12 i picked that too , 1:20 i picked the first. 1:35 second. 3:22 i got that version. I hope black swan is with me 💍 i only trust her
It is a nice detail because I recognize her from Honkai Impact as Raiden Mei and it leds to all my answer being vaguely remembering her which then later she will keep acting like we have deeper bond than what it seems on the surface. It help me feeling a bit immersed that Acheron is just another Mei on different universe as she is the most consistent character to appear in most of Hoyoverse games.
the first thought when i saw that is maybe the red text is just a loop because she say about her forgeting things and some people think she can back in time but im more toward that the villain or wherever else reseting our memories and that have more setup than just time traveling out of nowhere
There’s also this scene where you’re with Black Swan and you get the option to either refuse or accept to team up with Acheron, if you keep refusing her your choices turn red and it forces you to accept in the end… and Acheron pretends she can’t hear you if you refuse 😭 really weird

I think the red text (for now) is used for conditioning the player about branching narrative. Basically it's this dev team saying "If you see red text, be prepare to make a consequential choice" without telling the player directly. So down the line when quest and narrative gets bigger the players will be ready to make the choice without making a mistake.
But you get the red text after choosing an option not before

Imo, I don't think changes in color text meant branching narrative as we always have branching choices(especially on some side quest)in the game already.
It could be an Alter ego of her talking or that's just the way how the developers present when the one you talk to suddenly changes their tone(or depict murderous intent?) like they become another person or something

What Adventurine said about her was true. She's an emanator of Finality and *she can go back in time* to decide for another choice again, but forgets most of the event that transpired to her after she does it.
Meaning, those red lines that you see there is clearly a test for her to know if you're following the same path as her as well as probing you out if you're indeed related to her before she regresses.
Actually, what you are saying makes sense because just before the astral express warp jump toward penacony, the moment the MC got influenced by the Remembrance zone we could see some memories and when this first meeting with Acheron end, Pom-Pom come to see you and one of the dialogue option is : « I saw memories of the future » (iirc).
So all of that to say that, maybe the memories that flashed through the MC after the warp jump were those of Acheron (From the future), moreover she said that their spirit/dream are somewhat linked in this zone.

My theory is the entire Penacony, even the "reality" area, is time looped in a Dreamscape. In the bugged Dreamscape we encountered on the Express, we could see some fastforward events and we met illusions of characters we haven't actual meet yet and they were talking about what you didn't know.
Trailblazer and Acheron are 2 invidiuals that somehow could aware of the time loop slightly. The answers you gave Acheron in the intro would determine how much your character had looped.
If you pick that you didn't remember her, it means that the number of loops was still low. Acheron was assigned a different room with a different number to ours, and her stepping in was entirely for helping us.
If you choosed that you remember her somewhere, it means that the number of loops is high and what had happened started to leave an imprint on your memory, as well as Acheron's. Since these loops are not 100% same with each others, there will be loops that Acheron had been actually assigned this room and she ended up kicking Aventurine out because she thought this was also her room in this loop.

@@saddog6527 Yep, I found out that the red text is actually random regardless of what you have picked in the "first" Dreamscape. The theory still works though, just not relies on your choice anymore.
My theory is that, the moment anyone is 'invited' into Penacony, those people are trapped in the dream world and Watchmaker is behind it.
Why?
1. In the 'Its always Night in Penacony' show, near the end, the bar scene.. it had 3 guys talking. 1 from the Bloodhound and 1 from the Iris, the last guy, being all sus - made the 2 argue, and said something about the Watchmaker.
2. We have been told that the Watchmaker is an enemy. Sunday also seems pretty sus, I would think he either has a deal with the Watchmaker or the real him is being confined by the Watchmaker.
3. Whenever we 'wake up' from the dream world in the story, we don't really wake up. Basically it's the same as you dream of yourself waking up, but you only woke up in your dream, not actually waking up from your sleep.
This could be similar to the day-loop quest in Sumeru, where Layla figured out it was a loop.
I think, the character that would realise we're all still in the dream would be one of the playable characters instead of us (the TB)
@@esmondgoh3112 Probably Acheron had already realized that this is a time loop even if her memory was also wiped, and she were trying to help us as much as possible during "reset time" at the start of Penacony. She was the first one who taught us to wall walk while later while traveling with her and Black Swan, Black Swan was the one who taught them how to wall walk.
At the same time, I think Sam and Firefly are also other people who was already picked up the time loop thing. While in the Reverie Dreamscape, Black Swan had used her Rememberance ability as a Memokeeper to scan the area but Sam was not detected, so I think he had immunity to Rememberance, which could also be the reason that he was picked by Elio for this mission. Firefly's memoria left behind also mentioned that "If I could try again..." that caught the attention of Acheron about "try again" part.
There is a clock that you can fix in the dream reverie, where in MC's thoughts there are red texts. And from what the text says it is usually anger or rage. When you fix the clock you receive a creepy film thing and you can either choose to keep it, give it to the family or leave it there. I personally chose to keep it and now its in my inventory.

The disk is a hidden achievement. Give it to the bloodhound next to the main bird in the dream. He explains what it is, and gives you rewards. This completes the achievement.

On the other hand, the red text works like some kind of deus ex machina to connect the current acheron to that exact moment of branching timelines. So maybe the current acheron is not yet an emanator but her future self is. And her future self can connect to her existence throughout the timelines. Since Terminus was said to see the world backward and all.

There was a moment where i tried to refuse a request from her in red text, but eventually you cant refuse and things kinda went her way... I think this is mechanic just like Kafka's spirit whisper where her text was in yellow when she was using it, acheron must have some domination effect as well.

I had the second text for my playthrough. Her knowing what was going on and stepped in. It fit and I didn't think anything of it.
Today I have been watching others play this part and all got the first text of her lost. I was confused and thought I may have missed something as I didn't remember that. haha This makes so much more since now. This changes how I will watch the red text when the next chapter comes out and see what my firends do as well.
When you first meet Acheron she tells you to pay attention to the red, as a way to not get lost in the dreamscape or something. I don't remember exactly what she says but she definitely tells you to look out for red.
I chose the "thank you" and "this is my room" and she said she was teasing. Then I left the game and entered it again so I can choose different option. I chose "Why haven't you left" instead and she was wondering if she came to wrong room. Then I re-entered the game and chose the first mentioned options again and she answered the same. I think there is two or more types of red text answers deteremined by all chosen options before red text but it probabaly won't change anything beside red answers. It can also be devs informing us about different answers.

Seeing the red text the first time gave me a sinking feeling I havent felt since the early Hi3 chapters. I had fun the entire time doing the penacony quest but theres always a knot in my stomach telling me somethings definitely going wrong. And sure enough it did.
Im honestly excited to see what the team is cooking up in penacony, let the newbloods have a taste in what we eat up in Hi3 lol.

As the Emanator of Nihility she makes everything meaningless. Acheron is very much like IX himself a black hole in which if pulled by it nothing you do means anything.
This assures me that the Stellaron Hunters do not follow the Nihility and probably the Finality because the MC has been able to defy the script that Elio gives you (Kafka and Blade quest). Acheron on the other hand forces you into things and when you deny her she changes your answer to a red text. She didn't pull her sword for Firefly because it was meaningless..she is stuck, haunted by the Nihility nothing she does matters she is but a black hole sucking and destroying all including choices and will.
For me ... (with my stupid idea from one novel, her sword + her red umbrella in splash art!) It's like her sword talking to us in red. You can see in one shot that it has mostly red design with something look like a symbol maybe eye and Acheron design is mostly purple. Also combine it with Honkai Impact she can be emanator of Finality (or corruption).

another thing I felt with Acheron, and Penacony is that that I think there is a 'loop' event happening in the dream world. The reason why Acheron asks you if you have met before is because it was not her first time meeting you or us the 'Trailblazer' she met us in Penacony. She teaches us how to use the 3d room, and later she is oblivious about it when another character teaches us how to use it again in Penacony proper further in the story. This is where Acheron herself learned how to do it, and taught us it when we first get there.
Another idea I had in line with the Looping is our new friend that we make in Penacony. I think they are who will become March 7th. With the looping I think the rememberance group either make a deal with us, or they down the line makes the deal themself to be 'reborn' and are placed in the ice to heal, and put in the path of the nameless to truly become a trailblazer like they wished.
Glad to see I'm not the only one connecting Firefly to March. Though I'm leaning more to a theory that when March became an ice sculpture (most likely due to the illness Firefly told us about), she split into , a body that was found by Express and consciousness that came to Dreamscape.
The only thing the red text makes me think is umineko's red truth lmao.
Anyway, i think acheron is probably the key to solve most of the mysteries.
And maybe Misha. Why him? Cause like when we go in the true dreamscape and also in other occasions the name Mikhail pops up. And both Mikhail and Misha are variations of the name Micheal, so Misha could be Mikhail or be related to him.
As for characters like Black Swan,Sparkle and Aventurine i think they just know something more than us, not necessarily ALL the truth but still more than us, and are acting according to their own agendas (so i wouldn't call them evil or good. Aventurine and black swan probably are acting because of reasons, and sparkle cause well...she's a Masked Fool so she's probably messing around cause it is fun)
I think that’s the timelines thing. She literally says it herself “for a split second it felt like countless versions of you alike yet distinct gave entirely different responses”.
And then after she speaks about upcoming tragedies in golden dream she says: “And finally your sight will only see black and white. But believe me in that monochrome world there will always be a glimpse of fleeting red and when you make a choice it will reappear before you once more. What you must do is ponder its significance.”
I think the Red texts, story wise, are about things outside Elio's script. I did everything except "why haven't you left" and picked "this is my room" and I got the second red text. More Red texts come from her while progressing the trailblaze mission and one of the Red texts I saw that really suspicious was while talking to Sam "I" was the only text in Red when she asked about Elio's script and Sam said there was nothing about her in the script. Maybe Acheron is like a variable and her choice can affect what Elio's script is like the trailblazer but more impactful maybe.
Edit: Also found out after the recent xianzhou Loufo quest that it also means the death of a character seeing as if you choose red text to ask for help huolai will kill them
Which makes sense since Acheron is Emenator of Nihility and the color of red

Reverie dream, A child's dream, and our first encounter against the big meme monster(i forgot the name) with Firefly in that looping tv room. Penacony is such a breath of fresh air considering this is a mihoyo game

Spoilers ahead from the earlier part of 2.1:
When Acheron spoke to Sam, she asked him if she was in Elio's script, to which Sam said she wasn't. Interestingly, when Acheron said "I", the I was in red text. Perhaps part of being a self-annihilator is to annihilate yourself to some extent from the destiny of the universe. This could allow her to say things that shouldn't normally be possible to change. Perhaps that's what Sam envies about her. She's completely unrestrained by the "script".

The red text has been used in honkai impact on at least 2 occasions, one was when a character was speaking directly to the player, not the character but the player, you. The other instance was when a character was directing their chat towards an omniscient god that could see and know all.

While I very much support the theory that it’s her alter ego talking, it seems to work differently from your classic double personality character. Her speech is coherent and fluid, it’s just as if she was talking normally, but the way she speaks and what she says in red text seems somehow different from when it’s in white, even when the two sentences are perfectly connected. A very weird feeling
Now I'm scared, it's very strange how the red text changes depending on the account.
My theory is that Acheron contains a dual personality but it is trapped in her body and that personality is the one she remembers us the most, for some reason I think that if that is true we will see something similar in her combat mode (more or less like Jingliu)
In her dripmarketing, her hair was somewhat white and the background did not match the purple aesthetic of the character, so will she have a second form?

@@Dfathurr Uhm So Raiden Mei DID have another personality it died for her so she can claim the full authority but originally Mei had a Herrescher personality that could take over she even had a bomb implanted near her heart to stop it if she ever lost control.
So the 2 personalities fits. What if as an emanator Archeon isnt just a person closest to her Aeon but is also the Aeon's personal avatar. It might even be how Akavali got around. Pom-pom is strongly suspected to be Akavali's heart which empowers the Train and why he cant leave the train and the Body was Akavali which got killed. its WHY no one knows when Pom-pom showed up because once the train was fixed and operating Pom-pom was able to materialize again.
So if Pom-pom and Akavali is right its possible an Aeon could have their body and power in one place but their mind or heart in another and that could be what Archeon IS.

All is simple: RED TEXT = another personality. We already have red text with man behind gates (Jarilo - VI). That persona - the same, which traveled from HI 3rd, just like Welt. "The memories of old friend" - for Stelle = Kiana and for Caelus = Kevin.
When she travelled, her soul merged with other soul: read new Set "Divers of Dead Waters". White text - merged soul (have less experience, don`t have knack), red text - original soul, that become a "Emanator of Finality", just like MC (she can "feel" Misha presence)
i got a different result when i first met acheron i think it went like "its as if i was talking" idk i forgot the rest but it said that i had many 'personality' that gave her an answer per branched sentences
Same, when I have her different different answers she said to me that as if there were many different personalities in me giving their thoughts and that led to the second dialogue interaction after aventurine left.
They are taking advantage of Penacony to use the idea that "fate is not immutable" to the extreme. In Cocona's side quest, if you choose to let go of her hand, the clothing store gets a new attendant, and at least I don't think you can find Cocona anymore (she's still alive, but she's not on the map). Probably, depending on what we answer to Acheron, she may take on a different position at the end of Penacony, perhaps as an ally or an enemy. In the Luofu, it's possible to skip Kafka's entire quest just by leaving, so in Penacony something like that could happen.
At the scene where I met her in the bedroom with Adventurine, she was saying how she mistakenly took this room as her's, saying she was forgetful and don't know which wing or section she was in. I was taking a huge dump and switched off my phone by accident, then when I loaded up again, the scene replayed and this time, she said she was just joking and knew it wasn't hers and just wanted to help. I did this for around 5 or 6 times and the dialogue keeps changing between the two

Acheron does mention being on The Hunt for someone, can't remember the full quote. What stood out to me was the fact the words "The Hunt" was capitalized as if talking about Lan, but didn't make sense in that context. I think this is a clue to the fact she follows the path of The Hunt.
Just like Kafka's Dominate mind or something, but this one is like a putting something on our mind than commanding. My theory, you and all involved in Penacony is stuck in a loop and she's interfering to break it by imprinting those words into you.
At the beginning I thought it was like an inner voice, an inner voice that somehow we can hear. For those Honkai Impact players, remember we got something similar not long ago? When Vita went to talk to Marah and the other doctors she also had an inner voice or her real thoughts (Sa) on the matter contradicting what Vita said, for example when saying "You're incredible" the inner voice said "You're nothing more than an insect too"
I thought Acheron may have something similar, only that those voices don't contradict each other.

My theory is, red text indicate she talks directly to the player, not MC. When we are the one who talks in red text, it's us, the player, who talks to her
theres a dream ticker you can interact with, after solving the puzzle, you arent rewarded, you get red text as in inner monologue, felt like my trailblazer was on a villain arc
I believe she is an Aeon. The Aeon of death, Theres a quest or dialogue I remember saying shes not who she says she is and she is apart of that region of power. ( Could easily be wrong ) Theres another thing I believe that the red text is not necessarily a context changer but let alone an opinion on the matter on how YOU see her. I still won't disregard it I believe there is going to be different endings. shes important and I don't know why but we clearly remember her. She was asking questions as if she was going to try again somehow as if "Do you still remember me" and us saying we may remember her is some kind of indication that this may have happened before. Could easily be time looping as your laying there in the dream bath. and or time freezing. There are also NPCS who lost themselves within the scape. We save 2 but I think there are others. There is a lot here that needs to be thought of. We haven't even been with the group for a while, and I believe we aren't going too. This is OUR story. Something is going to happen.
There are leaks about Acheron's appearance. One is blue, like we all know. Another one is white hair and red outfit, it could be a hidden power or something
also in the trailer, we see Acheron firing off that red slashing wave. probably unrelated but like her HI3 counterpart, she always has that deadly side in her

you can also get red text when you choose whether you want acheron to join you and black swan
if u say no, she says she didnr hear u, if u say no again, there is no longer the choice to say no, and there are 2 text options saying to let her join us, but one text option is white and the other is red
I think what we’d chosen first doesn’t matter. I accidentally reset the dialogue in the same account and her red speech also changed. It’s randomized.
When she was with misha she wasnt asking questions but here text was red

Red text changes even if you give the same answers, is account linked, if you create a new account and do exactly the same as the first one, you will get anyway a different answer in the red text
I'd like to clear up that although Acheron herself was stated by Black Swan and Aventurine to supposedly be an Emanator of The hunt, The Finality or the Destruction, they did not state exactly what Aeon she's an emanator of. Though for me, she is more than likely an Emanator of Nihility.
Aside from the leaks made about her, it's not the only thing that points to her being IX's Emanator. Her personality, actions taken and overall disposition make her out to br extremely nihilistic, if not downright clueless altogether.

Wing and Block are kind of odd words for a hotel, no? They're more in line with describing parts and areas of a prison ^^ Kinda like what the hotel used to be, or still is?!
So does no one realize that the Red text isn't new? But rather appears when extremely paranormal entities are interacting with you? This happened twice before in Belobog in incidents taken straight out of the Shining, one of which actually wipes your memory of the incident. This is a foreshadowing I think, based on the trailer (The last Slash that actually hits Sam was red) and the character card (full of red among the little purple) and previous iterations in other Hoyo games (Shogun and Ei, Mei and HoT), that Acheron houses a powerful paranormal entity inside her. Something like a Heliobus (remember, they could also fabricate illusions and manipulate mental faculties like we do using Clockie... being an energy being gives them abilities similar to memetic entities)... but much closer to the Death entity than Tail or Cirrus.
PS If you haven't done the Belobog things, highly recommend. One is in the Goethe Hotel in the overground, after you interact with every door in the lobby, and the other is at the fence by the theatre (2nd one you need to come back 4 times to finish the story).
When i saw the red texts i felt like its the best if i think before choosing. 1:02 i picked the first , 1:12 i picked that too , 1:20 i picked the first. 1:35 second. 3:22 i got that version. I hope black swan is with me 💍 i only trust her
It is a nice detail because I recognize her from Honkai Impact as Raiden Mei and it leds to all my answer being vaguely remembering her which then later she will keep acting like we have deeper bond than what it seems on the surface. It help me feeling a bit immersed that Acheron is just another Mei on different universe as she is the most consistent character to appear in most of Hoyoverse games.
the first thought when i saw that is maybe the red text is just a loop because she say about her forgeting things and some people think she can back in time but im more toward that the villain or wherever else reseting our memories and that have more setup than just time traveling out of nowhere
There’s also this scene where you’re with Black Swan and you get the option to either refuse or accept to team up with Acheron, if you keep refusing her your choices turn red and it forces you to accept in the end… and Acheron pretends she can’t hear you if you refuse 😭 really weird

I risked spoiling myself with this one lmao cuz i havent played yet, but dont worry, ive already been spoiled about the killings and tragic stuff in twitter so this one doesnt spoil much. Tbh all the spoilers make me not wanna play penacony cuz it kinda changes the vibe of the game for me lol
