My brother actually had this book long ago. I once had an idea of reading it but my laziness started and I ended up skipping everything and started to read the last pages. It was quite sad. After that, I never touched the book again. It was good and all, but I just didn't feel like reading it. After a few years which is currently today, I have found this amazing song. I really liked it alot, and I knew it was from the little Prince. I am now inspired to read the book from beginning to the end now, thanks to this song. Now let me go back to reading this wonderful book.
Finally found this song again... I love this fucking song... I'm crying... I heard this song when I was like... 16? I dunno. 15 maybe... and I kept it. I then lost it for several years. The book and this song is like my other half! I knew it this was the little prince's song and I instantly fell in love with it. Its a beautiful and pretty well written song with such simple well meaningful lyrics:) I read the book so many times and I can't seem to get sick of it. I'm thankful for my dad recommending when I was still in the midst of learning life and all, and now it seems I'm like the little prince which still is lonely and searching for its star and still able to get my childish vibes! :)

Some how english songs that are written by japanese people sounds so.. poetic, compared to those made by english speakers. Feels like they're at a different level somehow making use of words that are simple and sounds nice, but at the same time holds concealed, deep meanings with different possibilities. ; v ;;
To be honest though, comparing pop stars in USA with people like Sasakure.UK is a very unequal comparison. It's closer to compare Sasakure.UK to smaller indie bands, which may have better lyrical content.
So, am I the only one here that feels like the rhythm of the lyrics feels kinda forced? I understand that it's a translation, but that doesn't excuse the fact that a somewhat annoying portion of the lyrics don't sound like they properly fit with the actual song. **DISCLAIMER** I love Saskure's music, I just haven't read Little Prince and don't really care much about song lyrics.
i would say that sasakure is definitey not pop as the others said before so they have really big differences between eng pop... but i think this is really beautiful because people who dont speak natively are very very selective with what they say AND and majority of the lyrics actually come from the children book the little prince.... which enhances both the song and book, they are both so emotional... but as i said before, i think most of the time vocaloid artists [since sasakure.UK is one] usually have something they want to share rather than just making music as a lot of american artists do, but you can also see vocaloid artists just making music for nothing other than just do it!! which also is gr8 i think. i just totally got of my original idea im srry but. also, please read the little prince if you havent, and you enjoy the song!!! its 83 pages and just will really change you!
i think the lyrics are more forced because they [for the most part] are direct lyrics from the book! so i think they had specific parts they wanted in there even though it really didnt match the beat sometimes-- although it is kind of cool that sasakure actually read the english version! :) altho i do have to agree like some parts the words are kind of lost [if you dont read it] because they are trying to make it fit the rhythm, altho that also might just be because the singer isnt a native eng speaker? i ended up reading the book after listening to this song and i have to say if youre willing to spend the time to read the book, the song and lyrics will probably grow on you :) plus the book is just wow it can change your prespective?....never thought a childrens book could affect me --an adult-- this way.
You don't need to read the book to care about a song's lyrics, but you pretty much validated what the others were saying. Americans tend not to care about lyrics as much as they do rhythm and beat. That's why artists get away with cheap songs/remixes that's got no content.
This is still one of my favorite songs and i heard it when I was like 12. There's something about it that just fucking resonates. Kinda sad how Sasakure's music is very much just a "weeb" thing overseas. It deserves so much more appreciation.
sometimes i wonder if the person who made the video for this has music→color synesthesia. a lot of those "interjections" (where some overlay cuts in over the main visuals) looks similar to how i see the song. either way there's definitely a lot of love put into it, phenomenal visuals.
This song came up in my autoplay on yt music as the much newer Re/Tale/ version on TH-cam Music. I love it, and it's the reason that I listened to The Little Prince. I love the book and this song so much.
It IS the story of Le Petit prince. Sasakure.UK loves to write songs about books: Le Petit Prince, The Little Mermaid, Campanella… I really like this idea :')
An asteroid will be flying over the Philippines tonight, and it somehow made me think of this song (as well as The Little Prince, of course!). Before I noticed it, it’s already been years since I last watched the movie…
Here goes to my silly dreams of hearing this getting featured in the new The Little Prince animation movie. :] It may not happen, but hey, at least I hoped.

No lie, I Favorited this entire album yesterday along with this song, and I listened to I and I thought it was really cool and everything, and today I got the book "The Little Prince" (I didn't know the song was about the book, I never read it before) and I was sitting here listening to this song while reading the book, and I was like, "Huh the lyrics of this song remind me of the book..." and I looked up and realized the title was the name of the prince's home, and I was like, Oh my gosh!

Apparently so does every other song by sasakure to everyone. Either way, that's interesting, because there's a big symbol of roses in The Little Prince, which is what this is about. (I think the entire album is inspired by fables.)

sometimes i wonder if the person who made the video for this has music→color synesthesia. a lot of those "interjections" (where some overlay cuts in over the main visuals) looks similar to how i see the song. either way there's definitely a lot of love put into it, phenomenal visuals.
This song came up in my autoplay on yt music as the much newer Re/Tale/ version on TH-cam Music. I love it, and it's the reason that I listened to The Little Prince. I love the book and this song so much.
this reminds me to Le Petit Prince a lot since roses and stars also, grown ups. it was such a nice and deep story...
It IS the story of Le Petit prince. Sasakure.UK loves to write songs about books: Le Petit Prince, The Little Mermaid, Campanella… I really like this idea :')
i love this so much
I wish I discovered your songs when I was young. You're such a good artist and my child self would love your songs
OMG X3 i knew that this is about the little prince

I love the little prince! Makes this song 1000000 times more meaningful
I LOVE THE LITTLE PRINCE!
Been searching 2 years to find this song.

An asteroid will be flying over the Philippines tonight, and it somehow made me think of this song (as well as The Little Prince, of course!). Before I noticed it, it’s already been years since I last watched the movie…
universe!
Here goes to my silly dreams of hearing this getting featured in the new The Little Prince animation movie. :] It may not happen, but hey, at least I hoped.
The roses, the asteroid, the numbers..of course its the little prince! :)
Always comeback here, really beautiful song :)
hi precious,
if i were you
i'd hide all my sorrows
just like those starlit night skies that twinkle so brightly
hi precious,
if i were you
i'd never do such harm like piercing my heart with poison
sharper than fangs
crying like six years ago
five hundred million stars are smiling at me
all that i wish is to see our distance, promises
our moments, our meaning!
and all that i wished was to see one tiny little star
no grown-ups understand
because grown-ups like numbers
they never ask what is really essential
because grown-ups don't know what they're looking for
they always go round and round the same place)
it is so,
that what gives a dry desert
it's beauty is one well - one singing well
that's hidden there, somewhere
is it so,
that all those stars are smiling down on me
because five hundred millions of stars
are hiding you there?
probably, i'm like them now 아마도, 지금은 그들이 좋아.
again i'm spending my time
counting "numbers"...
all of the stars have same faces
no i can't find yours
i'll shed tears and tell you
just five hundred million stars smiling
when you smile, and crying
when you cry
all that i wish
is to see our distance, promises
our moments, our meaning!
and all that i wished was to see one tiny little star
no grown-ups understand

Oh gawd, such a great song for a great book, it's just perfect !
Such a beautiful song! ;__; I love that "sweet" sound typical of Sasakure.Uk
first time i hear it. i miss IB game XD
love it!
this song is really really beautiful ok
No lie, I Favorited this entire album yesterday along with this song, and I listened to I and I thought it was really cool and everything, and today I got the book "The Little Prince" (I didn't know the song was about the book, I never read it before) and I was sitting here listening to this song while reading the book, and I was like, "Huh the lyrics of this song remind me of the book..." and I looked up and realized the title was the name of the prince's home, and I was like, Oh my gosh!
I'm planning on reading it! Thank you again:)
All Hail sasakure.UK!
When I read the context for this song, the next time I watched, I just burst out in tears
Crying tot his rn
THE LITTLE PRINCE! ;O;
I really love this book; The Little Prince since it is our lesson in English. It helps me to learn about grown-ups and their different personalities.
hi, precious. if I were you.
I'd hide all my sorrows
just like those starlit night skies
that twinkle so brightly
hi, precious. If I were you,
I'd never do such harm
like piercing my heart with poison
sharper than fangs
crying like six years ago.
five hundred million stars are smiling at me
all that I wish is to see our
distance, promises, our moments, our meaning!
and all that I wished was to see one
tiny little star,
no grown-ups understand.
Grown-ups don't understand.
because grown-ups like numbers.
they never ask what is really essential.
because grown-ups don't know what they're looking for.
they always go round the someplace.
it is so, that what gives a
dry desert its beauty
is one well - one singing well
that's hidden there. somewhere
it is so, that all those stars
are smiling down on me because
five hundred millions of stars
are hiding you there?
probably, I'm like them now
Again I'm spending my time counting "numbers".
All of the stars have some faces,
no, I can't find yours
I'll shed tears and tell you,
just five hundred million stars smiling
when you smile and crying
when you cry
all that wish is to see our
distance promises, our moments, our meaning!
and all that I wished was to see one
tiny little star, no grown-ups understand.

Imouto you keep showing up on all these Vocaloid songs .w.
le petit prince! *_*
it reminds me Ib..
Apparently so does every other song by sasakure to everyone. Either way, that's interesting, because there's a big symbol of roses in The Little Prince, which is what this is about. (I think the entire album is inspired by fables.)
Im addicted to this song i need the book now.
It reminds me a lot of little cry of the abyss
Exactly what I was thinking!
took me a while to notice it was about the little prince omg
i got it at ''grownups only like numbers''
Dat proud Rose.... shit. This made me cry again.
Thank you:) That really helps! I'll look it up.
