The best ship for grinding BH rep by far. I did the whole VHRT level to ERT in one day completing 50 missions. Buy Typhoon torpedos, wait for missile lock and stay within ~10k. BOOM! mission completed in no time. Now I reap the harvest in ERTs.
@@Thristed ERT mission = 3 target / 3 torpedo = complete in one run. Refil to HDMS between yela / Daymar = most of the mission ERT are on this moon. + Safier gameplay. Malus : - if you miss one target, it can be a little bit problematic, yes. - 10 000 AUEC per mission (torpedo cost) I doesnt see any problem about completing ERT (CARGO is a sidequest)

@@Thristed ? i you want hear = "yes taking the cargo is cooler " / funnier , you can do moore money. yes for sure, it is depend the version. I remember the time on 3.22 = 1 ERT = 80 millions AUEC. + ultimate god tier tips for take the CARGO safiest. It is a different experience yup yup yup ....
for the torpedo that missed its target, maybe you should also wait for the cursor to lock in red before firing (in addition to waiting for your ship to say missile lock) ? i learn to slow down a bit to not stress to much this bugy game :D
1 - you have to engage without been detected (if target is in NAV mode) 2 - Launch the torpedo from a specific angle of shape (target) = the turret deadzone (MFD target help a lot) I have no problem with that now. It was frustrating to lose so many torpedo before :(
Caught between easy kills like that and those poor potential eggs, man. Popped an 890j a couple hours ago and got 18 scu of eggs in it. It looks like the torps fully destroy the ship. It looks fun for a few missions, but it seems like it would take longer to get credits
I unlocked ERTs using the Eclipse, used typhoons and waited for "missile lock" and never missed. One shot for every ship. Burning through vhrts to unlock erts took about 2 hours.
Great ship, but way too expensive for only three torpedoes. For around the same money (in the pledge) I get the Retaliator with 6 torpedoes, 5 turrets with size 3 weapons and bed, toilet, kitchen, etc. For 200€ it would be just ok, or she would have to have at least 5 Tropedoes and 4 size 3 weapons.
Yeah, the Tally is a beauty and great for Multicrew play! Feels like a flying fortress. The Eclipse is way faster in Atmosphere, though. Perfect for solo play and chaining Bounty Missions.
Hmm I used the seekers and 1out of 3 hit. I guess I’m going to try the typhoons lol No idea 🤷♂️ y they don’t hit . Hopefully someone else will in the comments. I don’t think this ship is good against light fighters because it can’t turn very well.
I like the satisfaction of killing ships with torps, but feels like a waste with an eclipse in erts where you are leaving so much potential auec from cargo on the table
Yes, but can`t change it easy or on the normal way. You need to fire the old ones out in space, fly to the point where you can buy the thyphoons. No restock when landing, buy the new one and put it in.
how do you follow the Topedo in space its looks good 3 topedo kinda seem low on the other hand one kill onehit is nice is 12 km max range ?? on any boet
Max range is longer, but the spotting range is 12-15 km for most ERT ships. Assign a key under settings / keybind to have the action camera. Missiles section :)
damn they didnt even try to shoot your torpedo !??? last time i tryed (maybe a week ago?) they open fire on torpedo and only a few time they manage to hit.

yeah ok but you have to refill so much, the time you win on the killspeed you lose on refilling + you blow up all the cargo

Last time I used it: 3 shots - 3 torpedos destroyed by enemy fire before hitting the target. And the target were only two Starfarer.

Use the easy kills for rep, then hunt the eggs for UEC
I like the seekers cause players using chaff and flare still die

ive been trying the eclipse... absolut shit. i shot more than 30 torps to VHRT and none of them hitted the target. always destroyed. worst 9M ever
Strange. Thought that was solved after the rebalance. Did you switch out for Typhoon torps?
You have to swap the torpedoes and take thypoons, stay as far away and undetected as possible and definitely wait until the missle lock command comes.

I can't get the bow torp module to install the torps so no that doesn't work.

so infrared torpedo is better ? however I had read that electromagnetics (seeker IX) was the way to go ?
Hmmm, I had 10 hits out of 11 with Infrared... but maybe all torps are improved now?

the standard torpedos will kill mostly by gunfire from HH, 890, etc... the typhoon not.

Flight speed and damage. Before, my tops were so slow, they got shot by the bounties guns at short range. Now they hit :)
