I filed electronically on Tax Day July 15th this year, I am still waiting for an update on my federal (now Oct. 8). I've never missed paying my taxes and I've never not paid or left an open balance from prior years.

Something is going on right now because many people filled Feb 12th and don't have their refund yet. It's been 21 days and no transcript for me to view. I don't owe prior tax and can't get thru on the phone . I'm referring to 2020 taxes in 2021.
I filled March 15th and just saw the irs identity verification ppl on November 10th they say i should be getting my refund within 6 to 9 weeks I’ll see how that go

I’ve been putting my same information in for a whole YEAR and now it’s WRONG, WTF??? Tried to call and they will not let you in. I was told you have to call for something else, because if it’s concerning your tax refund it will tell you to wait and kick you out and that is very true. My refund is still processing, so I called them. Was transferred multiple times, calls dropped, and waited over 2 hrs. They have not processed my paper tax from couple years ago, which I submitted in mid March. They told me that it could be processed until November. 😤
I mailed my return on February 15. Today is August 24. The IRS tool now says my refund is "still being processed." I don't know how long it has said that because I completely gave up on checking the IRS tool after about 4 months of checking it and not even getting an acknowledgement of receipt. Unfortunately this video is not helpful for me at all because I cannot afford to hire a CPA or attorney to call the IRS. If I could afford that I wouldn't need my refund. As for calling them myself - I'm afraid to do that. Isn't everyone terrified of the IRS? Drawing attention to oneself could, I think, trigger an audit - and that's even worse than not getting my refund. 😭
I filed my taxes by paper in March. Received a letter in September from the IRS telling me that I failed to file a schedule D. I wrote back a week later to the IRS telling them that I was not required to file a schedule D since the only capital gains I had were from Mutual Fund entities which gave me a 1099 -DIV. I even sent them a copy of the 1099-DIV along with a copy of same instructions. It is very frustrating to wait so long for a refund and have it excessively delayed because of a mistake on their part. Worst government agency in the U.S.
My refund hasn’t been processed at all. The paperwork was sent to them all the way back in July 17th. They keep saying that due to the current pandemic, processing tax returns will be delayed. I’m a 21 year old 4th year college student and my refund is called “federal student return” this is my second time requesting it. Last year I received my refund in a month, nothing compared to this. Which is sad since I was counting with those funds to help my family during this difficult times and I had to pay $60 to the accountant who filled my return.

I haven't received my tax refund last year either. They kept telling me that they wanted to prove that I was who I say I was and everytime I try to check my status online oh, it says that it cannot be processed at this time. And when I try to do my taxes back in February, they kept giving me the runaround about my information being wrong but I have the same Bank information I had for 5 years. So they told me that I couldn't file electronically and I had to file through the mail. Well I did that back in April or May I think, I still haven't received my taxes and I haven't received any information from the IRS letting me know that something's wrong. This is fucking ridiculous

We're seeing such extreme delays with filings this year. It actually seems to be the norm if you filed in February (by paper) and it's not processed yet.

A large some of money, never got a refund self employed , my husband is really sick had to sell his carpet cleaning business in 2018. We fell in the tax bracket I essentially aware of and sent in 4 dig Quarters. He went 2 yrs no income. He finally got disability and a life saving Liver transplant. With a rare auto Immune disease that attacks the liver. Help me so desperate.
Filed my sons taxes electronically at the end of Feb. same time as my own. Got my refund but the son didn't get his. In July he gets a letter saying there is an issue with a previous year Market place charge, which we called about and got resolved by mail. Answered the letter on July13 2020 including all the documents and explanations of what was resolved. Letter said we might have to wait up to 12 weeks for a reply. It's been almost 15 weeks and haven't heard a word back. Called the number and ext number on the letter numerous times with no success at talking with a live person. Have not heard back since we responded in July.

@@NguyenCPAs I filled my first ever tax refund this year on July 15, and I bought my first car with my mom as cosigner at the beginning of October based on the promise that I would receive that Tax refund. Today is December 1, I have no money to hire people to assist with the issue, have called the 1049 number each and every week since mid-September and have been hung up on or told by the automated voice that "the line is busy, call later" even when I call on my way to work which is 7am. I played by the rules, I did everything im supposed to have done, and now I'm not sure If I can be continue paying for the car because the IRS has broken their promise to me and to so many others. I know you want us to be understanding and have patience for the IRS because the one time a year they actually matter was upended by Coronavirus, but my sympathy has run out. Waiting for my owed money has left me broke, in loan debt to make ends meet, and even suicidal these last few weeks because of how financially devastated I am, and now not only my credit, but my moms credit is on the line because a government apparatus can't do their job. It’s been since may 2 that I filed with a tax advisor who did it all for me and still haven’t gotten it and it’s Christmas Day!!!! I saw that when I tried to see my IRS2Go it said everything like closed till January cause of the new tax season
So I have been waiting for my refund since the end of March I was told I needed to sent in my 1095 A form along with the irs form However when I check the where's my refund page it still says still processing. I have called numerous amounts of time and I have been told to wait 6 to 8 weeks more recently that the processing center began working as of August 1 and to wait 6 to 8 weeks from that day.
I filed my on Feb.12 2020 after waiting 5 months I called the IRS July 20 and they told me they were going to send a “referral” to see what’s going on and to wait 2-4 weeks So I can get my refund or a letter from them. Well on August 30 I received a letter from them saying I need to send form 8962 and form 1095-A. So I sent both forms a few days later. And till this day I still haven’t receive my tax return.
I mailed my tax on July 14 for a refund and have not received anthing. I checked the irs website, which has a message about covid related delay for paper return and it also say not to call the irs. The search option does not find a match for my tax return. I filed my taxes by mail every year and no problems at all, usually got my refund in a few weeks. I was a little worry but now that I red your comment, I think they just haven't gotten to my mail 😄.
It's been over 115 days sent we filled our tex papers thay say they have received our papers and they have mailed us a letter saying wait 90 days then next letter says wait 60 days so we are waiting but because we have not got our refund yet things is going bad
Hi ,I'm new here....I filed electronically ...the timestamp says April 15th @ approximately 6pm...I received a letter from the IRS and it states my return was submitted late so therefore I did not qualify for the state refund...
I’ve sent my refund back in January, I fixed it and sent it back in May. About 2wks ago they let me know they received my refund, but it’s still not processing. I didn’t get a stimulus nor taxes.

You can also look on your acct or create a acct. On ire website it will show recent taxes .and stimulus info aswell

Ugh..that sounds ridiculous. Have you tried making an in-person appointment at your local IRS office? That could clear things up real quick.

You don't have hire you can call yourself and select for them to call you back in 30 minutes

Just note that due to tax returns still showing being processed many did not get 2nd stimulus and will have to claim it on their 2020 return

Actually talked to the IRS yesterday and the told me my returned has not been processed and that I have to eait 60 more days for either my refund or another letter. Slow moving on this

I files in march 15 all I get it's being processed , never got a letter, and can't get through to any one, and I use to work for hrblock, tried calling can't get to a human. What's going on they are stealing are money

I got a topic 152 And they sent out a letter to me. Its been 2 to 3 weeks now and they said that I need to submit the documents and return the letter from this. I haven't received the letter and im trying

Explain to me again why lawyers have a special hotline with the IRS that allows them to streamline solutions to business account issues, that are not their own,, faster than the business owners themselves? Why should that be? why don't you just give me that hotline,. How much do you want for it.
I filled my tax in March I got my state tax return in 2 weeks but federal refund is still pending. I got 3 times 6 Irs letter and saying I will get my refund within 60 days but till now nothing. What can I do ?

@@NguyenCPAs I filled my first ever tax refund this year on July 15, and I bought my first car with my mom as cosigner at the beginning of October based on the promise that I would receive that Tax refund.
Today is December 1, I have no money to hire people to assist with the issue, have called the 1049 number each and every week since mid-September and have been hung up on or told by the automated voice that "the line is busy, call later" even when I call on my way to work which is 7am. I played by the rules, I did everything im supposed to have done, and now I'm not sure If I can be continue paying for the car because the IRS has broken their promise to me and to so many others.
I know you want us to be understanding and have patience for the IRS because the one time a year they actually matter was upended by Coronavirus, but my sympathy has run out. Waiting for my owed money has left me broke, in loan debt to make ends meet, and even suicidal these last few weeks because of how financially devastated I am, and now not only my credit, but my moms credit is on the line because a government apparatus can't do their job.
Please I'm begging you here, if theres any information you have/know that could get me and millions more in contact with an agent who will at the very least talk to us, then you would be without question and without any sense of irony one of the greatest heroes of this year.

It’s been since may 2 that I filed with a tax advisor who did it all for me and still haven’t gotten it and it’s Christmas Day!!!! I saw that when I tried to see my IRS2Go it said everything like closed till January cause of the new tax season

So I have been waiting for my refund since the end of March I was told I needed to sent in my 1095 A form along with the irs form However when I check the where's my refund page it still says still processing. I have called numerous amounts of time and I have been told to wait 6 to 8 weeks more recently that the processing center began working as of August 1 and to wait 6 to 8 weeks from that day.

I filed my on Feb.12 2020 after waiting 5 months I called the IRS July 20 and they told me they were going to send a “referral” to see what’s going on and to wait 2-4 weeks So I can get my refund or a letter from them. Well on August 30 I received a letter from them saying I need to send form 8962 and form 1095-A. So I sent both forms a few days later. And till this day I still haven’t receive my tax return.

I mailed my tax on July 14 for a refund and have not received anthing. I checked the irs website, which has a message about covid related delay for paper return and it also say not to call the irs. The search option does not find a match for my tax return. I filed my taxes by mail every year and no problems at all, usually got my refund in a few weeks. I was a little worry but now that I red your comment, I think they just haven't gotten to my mail 😄.
A lot of the 2019 returns have delayed 2020 taxes it was expected honestly because the IRS shut down last year
It's been over 115 days sent we filled our tex papers thay say they have received our papers and they have mailed us a letter saying wait 90 days then next letter says wait 60 days so we are waiting but because we have not got our refund yet things is going bad
Hi ,I'm new here....I filed electronically ...the timestamp says April 15th @ approximately 6pm...I received a letter from the IRS and it states my return was submitted late so therefore I did not qualify for the state refund...
I called and she could not tell me anything. She wanted to get me off the phone.

I’ve sent my refund back in January, I fixed it and sent it back in May. About 2wks ago they let me know they received my refund, but it’s still not processing. I didn’t get a stimulus nor taxes.
