      All these penalties for the middle class! No one ever teaches how and when to file but we are ALL accountable for knowing these things. Sounds like extortion to me…

    When you file the first time abatement will it waive failure to file and failure to pay penalty? Or the IRS Will only allow one penalty removal?

    For the 1st time abatement, it was stated that all previous tax returns must be filed. Does that mean the previous 6 years tax returns (i.e., 2014,15, 16, 17, 18, 19)?

    I understand a relative's death provides a reasonable cause. Does a relative's major surgery qualify too? Will the IRS require evidence?
