Waking up to a snoring roommate, beer bottles everywhere, girls passed out in the hallways every weekend, lmao. Frisbee tournaments, golfing with my buddies wealthy parents, spring break road trips to California, frat parties, late night study cram sessions, leaving socks on the door knobs when I was busy with a lady friend... Fucking love this song.
It probably isn't that hard when you've been playing for a while and have your chops in order, but yeah, they all play this really well. It still surprises me that this recording, considering what kind of music it is, was played, recorded and produced to such a high level of quality instead of sounding like a shitty basement tape, with more of the recording budget spent on beer and weed than on equipment and production. It's good work.

I got hooked on Simple Plan as a high schooler who struggled to get a girl. I still listen to Simple Plan as a 33 year old who struggles to get a woman. Some guys outgrow these struggles they had in their teens. Unfortunately, my bad luck followed me into adulthood.
I just really wanna thank them for being there when I had no one as a child. Simple plan has been a part of my life for so long, so many nights of sitting in my room listening to them full blast while struggling to understand how life works.

Life was truly different just like our parents would say times were different from them. I took my childhood and my teenage years for granted. From slap bracelets to Kazaa and downloading endless pop punk songs, I miss the past. Simple Plan specifically takes me back to high school and two special girls, Alicia and Jenny who loved Simple Plan and introduced them to me in the early 2000s.
This was the first song I heard from Simple Plan, in a saturday morning Scooby Doo episode no less (welll first aside from the scooby doo theme song) and I absolutely feel in love! I got the CD a couple of days later, and the next time it was on was the episode the band was in. It shaped so much of my life and it's a treasured memory for sure!
Working for a living just sucks, even when you're just out of school and life is basically pretty good even when you're miserable, because at least you don't have to go to school and do schoolwork anymore. It's a shame that youth is wasted on school and work, even though work beats school by about a billion percent because at least it pays money--which I spent a small amount of on CDs and bags of weed, probably the only two things I ever spent my paychecks on that were really worth working hard for!! ;) I'm almost 44 now and damned if I *STILL* insist that there's gotta be more to life than all that 'normal' bullshit :)

@@legendindamakin5007 No doubt man, if you already feel that way at 16, then your life probably isn't going to be 100% "normal" :) It's good to think about life, it's bad to use thinking about it as an excuse to not do much with it. In some ways, normal 9-5 type employment is good, because it's comfortable and everyone is in the same boat, but man oh man is it ever a major drag when you don't feel like living much because you're working all the time, and your off-work time (aka "your life") is just spent either partying or vegetating. It's pretty common for young people just out of school because they're burnt from all those years in school, and are sick of it all already at a very young age, and just want to work, buy things, and maybe get high and/or laid. At least you're thinking about your life though, or just thinking in general, and that's not easy after being in school all those years :)

I still listen to Simple Plan as a 33 year old who struggles to get a woman.
Some guys outgrow these struggles they had in their teens. Unfortunately, my bad luck followed me into adulthood.
I just really wanna thank them for being there when I had no one as a child. Simple plan has been a part of my life for so long, so many nights of sitting in my room listening to them full blast while struggling to understand how life works.
Man I'm turning 28 next month and it's crazy to think I still have such vivid memories of me dancing and singing this song in front of the TV when I was 7.
I so wish to go back to the early 2000s it was so much simpler and life was good

Simple Plan, they have helped me through my childhood, they were the conscience for my teen years and up till now I still love their music! Thank you SP for all the years of inspiring music! We will never get to this moment on a grand scale, but we’re here still reminiscing… now this song makes me think more of memories than a girl, just to hold those memories we had as kids 12-15 . Life was truly different just like our parents would say times were different from them. This will never come back and its sad for humanity, but once again we’ll do anything to hold these memories and fall asleep reliving them & yup im 30. This was prime time teen for me

I took my childhood and my teenage years for granted. From slap bracelets to Kazaa and downloading endless pop punk songs, I miss the past. Simple Plan specifically takes me back to high school and two special girls, Alicia and Jenny who loved Simple Plan and introduced them to me in the early 2000s.
This was the first song I heard from Simple Plan, in a saturday morning Scooby Doo episode no less (welll first aside from the scooby doo theme song) and I absolutely feel in love! I got the CD a couple of days later, and the next time it was on was the episode the band was in. It shaped so much of my life and it's a treasured memory for sure!
This was my anthem when i was 13 😎 Now as a grown up i still know the damn lyrics perfectly !!!!!!! 😜😜😜😜

Working for a living just sucks, even when you're just out of school and life is basically pretty good even when you're miserable, because at least you don't have to go to school and do schoolwork anymore.
It's a shame that youth is wasted on school and work, even though work beats school by about a billion percent because at least it pays money--which I spent a small amount of on CDs and bags of weed, probably the only two things I ever spent my paychecks on that were really worth working hard for!! ;)
I'm almost 44 now and damned if I *STILL* insist that there's gotta be more to life than all that 'normal' bullshit :)

It's good to think about life, it's bad to use thinking about it as an excuse to not do much with it.
In some ways, normal 9-5 type employment is good, because it's comfortable and everyone is in the same boat, but man oh man is it ever a major drag when you don't feel like living much because you're working all the time, and your off-work time (aka "your life") is just spent either partying or vegetating. It's pretty common for young people just out of school because they're burnt from all those years in school, and are sick of it all already at a very young age, and just want to work, buy things, and maybe get high and/or laid.
At least you're thinking about your life though, or just thinking in general, and that's not easy after being in school all those years :)
