I feel the same way, I love seeing a father spending time with their children and you never know if that child will help their father in the business when they get older. Emma did a great job helping out that put a smile on my face.
They are good strong trucks Todd, not the most powerful, but they have decent power, and very reliable trucks, treat it good and it will treat you good, I wish you all the luck in the world with it!!
Come across this video looking for dump truck videos not realizing that I was already subscribed. Love the daddy daughter dumptruck date!!! Awesome man!!!
I drove Tractor Trailers for 40 years in length from 65 feet to 72 feet long, A friend of mine had a 95 tri axel Mack Dump Truck,The 1st time I drove it, I had to back up in an intersection, turns out, you need to start turning left a block before you need to turn lol Enjoyed seeing you teach your Daughter,Great job!!
Hi Todd, you are an excellent Father as you try and spend as much time with your daughter as possible and you get 💯% of my respect for that sir and please keep the content of your videos as excellent as they can be and I will look forward to seeing your next video.
It’s just possible you have the cutest, most adorable daughter in the state. And I certainly think it’s no secret that she has one hell of a father. You certainly make the most of your time together and we can see she is definitely a Daddy’s girl. She was certainly enjoying herself when you let her captain the excavator; an experience she’ll treasure the rest of her life. It’s times like this that make the relationship so precious and every time I see you two together, my heart melts. Let’s face it, any customer who meets her along with you would be well-disposed to consider you strongly for the job. As with your optimism, her adorability is infectious. Together you two are an unbeatable combination.
Nice to see you sharing time with your daughter. I did the same with my adopted granddaughter - took her to Search and Rescue training in her car seat, and continued that for years. The fire chief took a dim view of me taking her out on calls in the brush truck, but he was just worried about liability. She's now just about to turn into a teenager, but still enjoys the memories. Emma will be leaps and bounds ahead of her peers in having common sense because of the time you spend with her.
Enjoyed the video. Especially the OJT part on walking and loading the hoe.Good job on idling down the engine on the hoe while loading. Also explaining shifting gears between loaded & empty and turning.I used to drive a 2 stick mack dump 5 on one stick & H-L-R on the other. She would only do 58 loaded or empty. The only truck I ever drove you could shift gears going backwards. Worked out good going through a boggy spot you could get up a good head of steam. Also enjoy seeing you bringing Emma with you seeing what you do. My grandmother was named Emma you don't hear that name much anymore. For those of us that aren't in the saddle anymore it bring back old memories. job well done Todd!!!
Love to see another fellow father of a younger daughter bring her along to see how it’s all done 👌🏻 my girls complain about how the trucks smell. They say they smell like transmissions LOL gear oil
Thats awesome brother getting the young ones into it early maybe she can be your next helper In the future. My son loves working the tractor when laying gravel and loves watching loading on trailer and hauling
Nothing like a Daddy/Daughter Day! Mines 24 now and engaged to marry this October, seems like no time since she was Emma's size and riding in my old dump truck! Time flies!
Its good that you are teaching your children how to do things. She will benefit from that for all her life. Macks don't turn tight. You should try tight corners with a Mack without power steering. Dove them like that for 20 years. Old drivers hints; "never drive into some place you have to back out of" Backing in to traffic is an accident waiting to happen.
Ol Red sounds like a good name if someone hasn't already mentioned it. I had a ford L8000 with a 8LL in it and it shifted out good around 1200 rpm on the low side and about 1500 rpm on the high side. Two different motors though. Rpm range could differ a little bit from engine- engine. Just throwing that out there. Have a good one TODD
Spent three years in a truck just like it ( ol' black betty) here in SE KY. Hope everything works out for the best for you and yours, and thanks for the ride along.
I have a mack Eaton10 speed metric and im new to driving. I double clutch all my gears up and down. What has helped me the most is progressive shifting Low gears low rpm. Normally dont use 1 unless in sugar sand. but it would be something like. 1 Clutch out then clutch in right into 2 Or around 1000 rpms. 2nd 1100 , 3 1200, 4 1300, 5 1450 to 1550. Click up, Run full rpms in the high range.
Pre select that low to high split. Your synchronizer will thank you. You did it when you pulled out of the shop it looked like but after you made the Austin Powers turn you didn't. You won't have any issues with the 315's. In my area we prefer 425's and 445's and have no issues with handling.
You've went to the dogs as they say. I can haul 27 ton on my tri axle on state roads in Southern ky. If I could only haul 17 I'd feel like I couldn't get anything done. Love the old macks! The new macks are probably the worst truck I've ever driven. Junk!
it’s not turning well because it’s got floaters up front, their terrible for turning. make sure you preselect your range selector, don’t do it in neutral. 1850-1200 shift range, mack’s hang for a second before dropping rpm, wait for it, she’ll slip in like butter.
You would have to be maxed out on weight. For the truck to go straight though a curve. Those flotation tire have got a much larger foot print on the road. Just drive it with respect.
I love that you spend quality time and get Emma involved. You're a GOOD Dad!
I feel the same way, I love seeing a father spending time with their children and you never know if that child will help their father in the business when they get older. Emma did a great job helping out that put a smile on my face.
Definitely
I did the same thing with my kids when they were younger when I worked locally
Definitely fun times
They are good strong trucks Todd, not the most powerful, but they have decent power, and very reliable trucks, treat it good and it will treat you good, I wish you all the luck in the world with it!!
It warms my heart to see you with you little girl mines all grown up now so treasure every minute Todd
Nothing better than father daughter work day. Nothing I tell ya
Emma did a great job!! In fact, she's done something that in my 40yrs of life, I've never done...Go Emma!!!!
Come across this video looking for dump truck videos not realizing that I was already subscribed. Love the daddy daughter dumptruck date!!! Awesome man!!!
It’s always fun to have a new toy even if it is related to work :). Loved seeing Emma driving the excavator

Thanks for the kind words my friend🙏🏻
So sweet. Daughters are the best. ❤️
Keep it rolling,. Great memories for you and Emma.. great teacher.. keep on digging!!

You are an amazing father brother keep it up. The memories yall build is priceless.
Man she’s good boss👌🏻👌🏻my oldest love the excavator!! Love seeing this
It freaking fantastic that you take Emma on trips like this! It creates memories that last a lifetime.

Keep it up bud making those great memories
Gotta love those Mack's!! I grew up with the older R model's so the puppy dogs have a warm place in my heart!
Thats awesome brother getting the young ones into it early maybe she can be your next helper In the future. My son loves working the tractor when laying gravel and loves watching loading on trailer and hauling
Awesome truck, even better watching you interact with your daughter! Great video! 👍
Another broadcast delivered on a morning I can enjoy with my DL21 mug
I am so happy to see you have Emma involved!! Keep up the great work buddy!!!!!
Emma knows big trucks cant help going slow they are filled with stuff. Parenting done right
Nothing like a Daddy/Daughter Day! Mines 24 now and engaged to marry this October, seems like no time since she was Emma's size and riding in my old dump truck! Time flies!
Looking forward to seeing more of it in action! I also love your attitude, always upbeat and rolling with whatever comes. Keep it up dude!
Great video. I've been looking forward to seeing this truck in action, I love the sound. Watch your back though, she seems like a natural.

Awesome I'm from NC and now living in AZ. I just bought a 99 mack RD688 and I love it. Hope this truck is working good for you!

Use the clutch to start and stop, nothing else. Love seeing youngins on the job!
You are a great dad, Todd. "Big Dog" is doing good.
Spent three years in a truck just like it ( ol' black betty) here in SE KY. Hope everything works out for the best for you and yours, and thanks for the ride along.
Did you sing the song while driving her lol
Good job Emma and dad on load up.
Have a great day both of you.
Nice to see that truck finally working
Your new employee is doing just fine. Gonna have to make the pedals and sticks in that excavator a little taller for her though!
What a great video, you two are hysterical together!! Lol 🤣
Yeah what final drive in the ol Mack?
Looks about like the one I move snow with good times.
I was smiling like crazy watching the little lady run the excavator. After operating it she was bored with the truck.
Nice looking mack truck with excavator
Mack's are aways just "the mack". 🙂 Don't fight it.
Todd look into adjusting the bump stop bumpers on front axle it will allow you a bit more turning radius

my first year driving truck i looked at a bull dogs rear-end lol cool vid

How long is the bed on your mack rd?
I’m confused. Is this the first Mack video since the repairs? I was hoping to see a repair recap. Did I miss a video? Hope you like the new truck.
Glad you got it going buddy. Go make some money with that truck, I’m proud for you!
That's the plan!
What part of nc are you in if you don’t mind me asking
Great dad! Does the truck have a super 10 transmission? I haven’t seen you split the high side gears! No biggie anyway. Great videos and content!!!
And don’t coast out of gear for more than 10 yards. I almost failed that one. Trans was beat to snot though when I took my test
Amazing man ... not sure what names were mentioned but how bout red dog?
are the front tires 425?
Its a great video
Todd, is your mack plumbed for a pup or tri axel?
I drive a Mack like that daily and they turn sharper left then right for some reason but maybe that will help you
Love that Mack!
Nice truck...
Dot Officer: Who loaded this excavator son?
Daddy: Me sir!
Emma: Um no daddy it was me!
Dot Officer: Great job no ticket today, enjoy ur day lil lady!
Try some air freshner called smoke out . Turtle wax also make air freshner too

Yeah these Macks love getting wound out for sure. Makes it a lot easier to shift
You gotta get that ol girl a 6in straight pipe and let her sing, you won’t regret it!! I love our 89’ rd
Truck on brother 💪🏼
Big Mac looks solid
What will be your next purchase a skid steer or dozer
Nice truck
Learning curve!!!
Takes awhile to figure out which gears you can skip altogether at a given weight.
I smoked 3 packs a day for many years ... quit 8 years ago! .... i carried my girls everywhere with me many of times !
I’m looking at buying one.
They'll never do that been driving a mixer 6 years with floats you just have to take the curves slower don't rush it
nice try putting a straight pipe on it for the sound and for videos these e7 have a unique straight pipe sound
This video will be a good memory for you and Emma. Congrats
Like the Mack. How about red dog
Add 4 bottles of STP to the transmission.
Meguiar's odor eliminator will kill that smoke smell. Amazon or the local advance auto parts or wally world should have it.
I love truck and cars like the Pixar movie Cars
That Mack will shift best between 1900 2100 rpm . Todd give that a try👌🙏
Skills!
I'm thinking you found a new operator.
How to fix signo lited
?
Blessed man!
Get you box of carpet fresh with backing soda in it sprinkle you a lil bit in there and leave you a box behind each seat
Orville and Wilbur's father was named Milton. Might be a good name for the mack.
Two ideas for the dump truck name. Either spike, the bulldog from the old cartoon with spike and tyke and Tom cat OR Hercules like from the Sandlot.
Good grief, even old Mack Trucks don't have Mack Transmissions anymore?
Nice
your best team member. lol.

She’s sharp.

Big Mack
Horsepower is how fast you hit the wall, torque is how far you take the wall with you lol
Couple things of coffee grounds will help soak up the smell
Lol I got the same lunchbox for Christmas
